What?! Trump Says Youngkin’s Win In Virginia Is Proof That Election Fraud Exists

According to failed, one-term former President Donald Trump, the victory by GOP candidate Glenn Younkin in the Virginia gubernatorial election on Tuesday is proof-positive that there’s massive election fraud in the United States.

During a phone interview with right-wing radio host John Fredericks on Wednesday morning, the twice-impeached Trump declared:

“We have a very corrupt election process in this country, and I’ve exposed that. We’ve exposed that, and I’ve further exposed the fake news for being corrupt, which I’m very proud of.”

Using Trump’s premise, doesn’t there need to be a recount and forensic audit in Virginia?

Trump’s comment led Fredericks to ask how Youngkin could have won a two-point victory over Democratic challenger Terry McAuliffe just a year after the ex-president tanked against Joe Biden by a 10-point margin. Trump replied:

“Yeah, I don’t believe that we lost that, I don’t believe we lost Virginia, and I think I can get away with murder in Fairfax, but there were too many eyes on it. You know, when I ran it was it was one of 50 states and other areas, okay — the islands, places nobody ever heard of. What a mess, what a mess, this election process. Now I don’t believe it. They said Virginia’s blue, I never believed it was blue.”

There was also the obligatory self-congratulations from the ex-president:

“All these people that turned out last night — look, without MAGA, he would have lost by 15 points. More, I think more than that.”

If that’s true, why did Youngkin refuse to appear with Trump during the governor’s race?

Trump also claimed he was responsible for Youngkin winning in a statement he issued on Tuesday evening:

It is looking like Terry McAuliffe’s campaign against a certain person named “Trump” has very much helped Glenn Youngkin. All McAuliffe did was talk Trump, Trump, Trump and he lost! What does that tell you, Fake News? I guess people running for office as Democrats won’t be doing that too much longer. I didn’t even have to go rally for Youngkin, because McAuliffe did it for me. Thank you to the MAGA voters for turning out big!

So when Republicans win, elections are fair and free of fraud. But when Democrats win, Trump and his supporters whine that the election was stolen from them.

Trump and his minions have indeed turned truth on its head.

Trump Releases Statement On VA Governor’s Race That May Doom The GOP Candidate

For months now, Virginia GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin has been trying to distance himself from failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump because he doesn’t want to be directly associated with a man as controversial and tarnished as the Donald.

And yet, on the eve of the election in the state, Trump decided he’d tie himself to Youngkin with a statement that could well doom the Republican when voters go to the polls tomorrow.

Politico reports that the Trump statement — released via his spokesperson — makes it clear that the ex-president sees Youngkin as a carbon copy of himself:

“The Fake News media, together with some of the perverts doing ads ad nauseam on primarily Fox (Fox shouldn’t take those ads!), are trying to create an impression that Glenn Youngkin and I are at odds and don’t like each other.

“Importantly, this is not true, we get along very well together and strongly believe in many of the same policies.”

That statement is exactly what Younkin’s Democratic opponent, Terry McAuliffe, has been saying for months now and reiterated shortly after Trump sent out his statement:

“Since launching his campaign, Glenn Youngkin has made it clear he is running for governor for one person and one person only: Donald Trump. Now, with less than 24 hours until Election Day, Trump is helping Glenn close his campaign and rewarding his total allegiance for the last eight months.”

Quite simply, Trump may have just doomed Glenn Youngkin. The election will likely come down to turnout, but Trump’s enthusiastic embrace of the Virginia Republican could turn off lots of independent voters who haven’t yet made up their minds about how they’ll cast their ballot on Tuesday.

If you watch election returns Tuesday evening, keep a close eye on Northern Virginia. That’s where Democrats get their biggest share of votes in the state, and that’s where Youngkin will probably come up short, if only by a few points.

But in a race as close as the one between Youngkin and McAuliffe, a few points may be the margin of victory. And having an albatross like Trump around your neck is not something any candidate wants the day before votes are cast.

#TrumpInHiding Trends After Donald Is Banned From VA Governor Race

There’s an incredibly contentious (and closely watched) gubernatorial race taking place in the state of Virginia which pits Democrat Terry McAuliffe against Republican Glenn Youngkin, and it’s bringing lots of attention to the state as a possible harbinger of what can be expected in the 2022 midterm elections.

As you’d expect, Democrats have been sending their political stars to Virginia to campaign for McAuliffe. Among those who have made an appearance for the Democrat: President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden; former President Barack Obama; and Stacey Abrams.

You’d think the GOP would counter with the biggest name in their party, former President Donald Trump. But they haven’t, and Youngkin has taken great pains to distance himself from the Donald, The Hill reports:

Democrats are trolling Donald Trump over Virginia GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin’s efforts to distance himself from the former president, including by flying a plane near his Mar-a-Lago resort asking why Youngkin won’t let Trump campaign with him in Virginia.

Add to that a brilliant video from the good folks at MediasTouch, and what you have is a viral posting along with a trending hashtag on Twitter: #TrumpInHiding. Here’s the video:

Since that video was posted on social media, the new hashtag has been used nearly 32,000 times by Twitter users, sending it through the proverbial roof and no doubt enraging Trump, who can’t respond because he’s banned from Twitter and Facebook.
