Trump Launches A Disgusting Homophobic Attack On Pete Buttigieg Via Social Media

Throughout his career in both business and politics, disgraced one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump has been fond of giving people nicknames, probably as a way to pretend that he’s superior to everyone else he encounters, even though the truth is that he’s one of the most insecure losers ever born.

And yet, the failed ex-president decided he’d stoop to a new low with a disgusting attack he launched at Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg via his failing Truth Social site, which is reportedly desperate for cash and on the verge of financial collapse.

Referencing an article from a newspaper he hates, The Washington Post, Trump made a clearly homophobic reference to Buttigieg, writing:

“Wow, is The Washington Post becoming legit. They just reported that the weak and totally ineffective Secretary of Transportation, Pete ‘BUTTedgeedge’ LIED when he said that the Trump Administration’s great and effective reduction in regulations, a giant job producer, had NOTHING to do with the East Palestine Train Derailment. It was just more Dem DISINFORMATION in order to deflect from their gross incompetence.” Trump added: “Really good investigative journalism by The Washington Post. Keep it going!”

This comes just days after Donald Trump Jr. also took a cheap shot at Buttigieg based on his sexual orientation, Newsweek reported:

“Peter has no business in that position, but he’s the guy who had no business running for president. But they let him do that because he was gay and they check off a box and then he didn’t win, but, well, he’s the gay guy, so ‘we’ve got to give him something, let’s make him Transportation Secretary.’

“What does he know about it? Nothing. His failure, after failure, after failure are truly affecting the American people.”

None of this should surprise anyone. After all, both Donald Trump and Don Jr. have repeatedly proven that they’re proud bigots and will stoop to any level if it will help distract from their own massive failure in everything they’ve attempted.

Pete Buttigieg Has The Perfect Antidote To Trump’s Bullsh*t – And His Response Has Gone Viral

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has gone viral with comments he made in response to criticism from failed former president Donald Trump, and he’s also drawing praise for perfectly countering the lies and bullshit the disgraced ex-president made during his visit to the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio on Thursday.

The back and forth between Buttigieg and Trump began when the one-term, twice-impeached former president was asked about his administration “pulling back rail regulations” which may have contributed to the derailment.

As he often does, Trump insisted, “I had nothing to do with it.” But the facts suggest otherwise, as Newsweek reports:

Speaking to investigative news outlet The Lever, Steven Ditmeyer, a former top official at the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), said the “severity” of the accident was likely increased by the lack of Electronically Controlled Pneumatic (ECP) brakes.

A rule was passed under President Barack Obama that made it a requirement for trains carrying hazardous flammable materials to have ECP brakes, but this was rescinded in 2017 by the Trump administration.

That led a reporter to ask Buttigieg about what Trump said when the Transportation Secretary was in East Palestine:

“You mentioned the national political figures decided to get involved, it sounds like you’re talking about Trump. And then you said, ‘I need your help.’ How can he help?”

Buttigieg responded:

“Well, one thing he could do is express support for reversing the deregulation that happened on his watch. I heard him say he had ‘nothing to do with it,’ even though it was in his administration. So if he had nothing to do with it, and they did it in his administration against his will, maybe he could come out and say that, that he supports us moving in a different direction.”

The secretary continued:

“We’re not afraid to own our policies when it comes to raising the bar on regulation. And I’ve got to think that him indicating that this is something that everybody ,no matter how much you disagree on politics and presidential campaigns, can get behind – higher fines, tougher regulations on safety, Congress on tying our hands on breaking rules, all the other things that go with it that’d be a nice thing for him to do.”

In just 24 hours time, the video of Buttigieg’s remarks has been viewed nearly 2 million times, leading HuffPost White House correspondent S.V. Dáte to note:

“Never really understood why Republicans think picking fights with him is a good idea. He is hands down the Biden administration’s best communicator, he takes apart the criticism, turns them back on the critics, and does it all without sounding mad.”

Donald Trump fucked around and Pete Buttigieg helped him find out what a mistake that was.

Cruz Claims He Can Tell Buttigieg Is Running In 2024 Because He’s ‘Mimicking Obama’s Cadence’

Texas GOP Senator Ted Cruz is convinced that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will challenge President Joe Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination.

Why would Cruz say such a thing? According to him, it’s because Buttigieg has recently been “mimicking” former President Barack Obama’s “cadence” when he speaks.

In a podcast recorded on Sunday, Cruz told his co-host regarding comments Buttigieg made about the Chinese spy balloon:

“Just something I noticed listening to that — did you pick up on Buttigieg’s cadence? He is mimicking Barack Obama.”

Cruz added:

“He’s doing this speed up and pause; speed up and pause. And Buttigieg didn’t use to speak that way. I think he’s getting ambitions of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. And there’s no real mystery about that. But it is a little amazing, given the train wreck he’s presided over at the Department of Transportation for two years, that his ambitions have soared so high.”

Of course, Ted is also planning to run for president in 2024, and he’s trying to get ahead of his potential rivals if he should happen to win the GOP presidential nomination, which he won’t. Cruz has tried his hand atwinning a nomination to be president, and he failed spectacularly, winding up kissing Donald Trump’s ass even though Trump insulted both his father and his wife.

Sounds like Cruz is still upset at a burn Buttigieg laid on him in June of last year, shortly after the mass shooting at a school in Uvalde, Texas that killed 19 children and two teachers.

When asked about the horrific shooting, Cruz suggested that schools would be safer if they had “one door into and out of the school, which led Buttigieg to retort:

“The idea that us being the only developed country where this happens routinely — especially in terms of the mass shootings — is somehow a result of the design of the doorways on our school buildings is the definition of insanity, if not the definition of denial.”

Chasten Buttigieg Has The Perfect Clapback To Tucker Carlson’s Attacks On His Husband

Earlier this week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson proved yet again what a willfully ignorant bigot he is, attacking Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg for daring to have an opinion on the mass shooting at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado.

According to Carlson, Buttigieg didn’t bother to come out of the closet until his thirties. Oh, and he also accused Buttigieg of lying about his sexual orientation to gain entrance into the U.S. military, where he served with honor and distinction.

Specifically, Carlson told his equally bigoted viewers:

“No, Pete Buttigieg wants to talk about identity. He always wants to talk about identity. And the funny, ironic thing is that until just a few years ago, Buttigieg wouldn’t even admit that he was gay. He hid that and then lied about it for reasons he has never been asked to explain. Why not?

“But whatever. Now he is happy to use his sexual orientation as a cudgel to bash you repeatedly in the face into submission. Quote, here’s his latest, ‘If you’re a politician or media figure who sets up the LGBTQ community to be hated and feared, not because any of us who ever harmed you, but because you find it useful that don’t you dare act surprised when this kind of violence follows.’”

That led Chasten Buttigieg, who is married to the transportation secretary, to tell CNN host Don Lemon:

“I would just love for him to follow Secretary Pete on Twitter. He can follow along all of the things that are happening at the Department.

“I just think these people, again, with the megaphones, they have a bit platform. And rather than focusing on real issues, people’s lives – making them better, they decided to focus on hate.”

Chasten also explained exactly why his husband hid his sexual orientation while he chose to serve his country:

“My husband served under ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell,’ which means that he would have been discharged from the American military had he come out of the closet.”

But it was what Chasten Buttigieg said next that’s the perfect antidote to the narrowminded musings of Carlson and his ilk.

“Remember, this type of rhetoric is easy. It’s so easy to attack people and go on your talk show and fire people up about something that’s not actually happening.

“I love my husband deeply. I know that he’s a committed public servant and he has everyone’s best interest at heart.”

Tucker Carlson’s Latest Attack On Pete Buttigieg: He ‘Lied’ About Being Gay

Fox News host Tucker Carlson is absolutely livid because he claims that Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg didn’t “even admit that he was gay” until a few years ago and “lied about it for reasons he has never been asked to explain.”

Carlson made his remarks in reference to the mass shooting at an LGBTQ bar in Colorado Springs that left five dead and dozens of others injured.

“Pete Buttigieg, of course, couldn’t pass up a moment like this. It’s not like Pete Buttigieg wants to talk about how things are going over at the Transportation Department, which he supposedly runs. Short answer not well.”

That led Carlson to go on an extended rant about Buttigieg in which he accused the transportation secretary of using the Colorado shooting to advance his political aims:

“No, Pete Buttigieg wants to talk about identity. He always wants to talk about identity. And the funny, ironic thing is and the tell just a few years ago, Buttigieg wouldn’t even admit that he was gay. He hid that and then lied about it for reasons he has never been asked to explain. Why not?

“But whatever. Now he is happy to use his sexual orientation as a cudgel to bash you repeatedly in the face into submission. The Fox host concluded:

“Buttigieg, now that you’re admitting you’re gay after lying about it, since we’re talking about identity. What do you have to say about that? Well, nothing. Weirdly, Pete Buttigieg hasn’t said anything, nor has he apologized for attacking other people on false pretenses.”

As with nearly everything said by Carlson and the other prime time hosts on Fox, the premise of his argument against Buttigieg is based on bullshit and outright lies that have absolutely no grounding in fact. Instead, they emanate from a place of hatred, homophobia, and self-loathing.

Buttigieg has indeed addressed why he was so reluctant to come out before he did, writing:

“I was well into adulthood before I was prepared to acknowledge the simple fact that I am gay. It took years of struggle and growth for me to recognize that it’s just a fact of life, like having brown hair, and part of who I am.”

And Buttigieg also explained why he remained closeted while serving in the military, noting:

“For individual servicemembers, that meant hiding who they were from the people they trusted with their lives. In some cases it meant living a life that was less than whole.”

Poor Tucker. He can’t stand the fact that Pete Buttigieg is more accomplished than he’ll ever be.
