Trump Whines About His Ongoing Legal Problems In Bizarre ‘Valentine’ To Melania

Ever the romantic, failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump used the occasion of Valentine’s Day to whine about his ongoing legal problems and suggest that his supporters should send money to him as a way of honoring his wife, Melania.

The Trump campaign sent out a blast email Wednesday morning which featured as the subject line “I love you, Melania!” according to Mediaite.

Once opened, the email revealed a tender message of love and legal persecution:

THIS IS A VALENTINE’S DAY LETTER FROM DONALD J. TRUMP:

Thomas, this is a Valentine’s Day letter to my beautiful wife, Melania!

Dear Melania,

I LOVE YOU!

Even after every single INDICTMENT, ARREST, and WITCH HUNT, you never left my side.

You’ve always supported me through everything.

I wouldn’t be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness, and warmth.

You will always mean the world to me, Melania!

From your husband with love,

Donald J. Trump

The email also contains repeated urgings for recipients to send $47 each. If you try to click off that message, another pops up that reads:

Melania Reportedly Ready To Divorce Donald For Using Barron As A ‘Political Pawn’ 

Former First Lady Melania Trump is furious with her husband — failed, indicted former president Donald Trump — and is ready to divorce him for using their 17-year-old son, Barron, as a “political pawn” in a cheap attack on President Joe Biden, according to Radar Online.

Four-times-indicted Trump, 77, shocked even his followers when he threw a photo of the rarely seen high schooler into a social media post attempting to belittle the sitting president, saying: “In an effort to level the playing field, Barron Trump will debate Joe Biden!”

The 53-year-old former first lady — who has been deeply protective of her only child — is said to be “seething with fury” over her hubby’s use of Barron as a political pawn.

A source remarked, “Melania has been incredibly protective of Barron and has told Donald she would not stand for him to be exploited by anyone, even his father!”

The result could be Melania filing for divorce.

“He made a promise to protect their son — and he broke it. There’s a good chance she won’t forgive him, and the next time we see them together may be in divorce court.”

Melania is already deeply shaken by the mounting criminal probes of her husband and considers his decision to trot out Barron a personal betrayal she can’t forgive, sources said.

All this comes as the disgraced ex-president is facing four criminal trials in Manhattan, Florida, Washington, D.C., and Georgia. If found guilty, Trump could wind up spending the rest of his life in prison.

“Despite Donald’s denials, Melania has already had to endure an indictment in New York that suggests he had an affair with a porn star while she was pregnant with Barron,” a source added. “Now, she’s livid after he’s broken his promise of keeping their son out of the spotlight.”

Sounds like Melania and Barron won’t be visiting the Donald if and when he winds up behind bars.

Melania Trump Is One Of The Most Disliked First Ladies In History: Poll

Much like her husband, former first lady Melania Trump is a divisive figure, claiming to care about the issue of online bullying yet never calling out the failed former president for his countless attacks on others via social media.

Just how unpopular is Melania? According to a poll from Zogby Analytics, she’s near the bottom when it comes to favorite first ladies in modern history, The Daily Mail reports:

Jacqueline Kennedy tops a new poll of America’s favorite first ladies while current occupant Jill Biden comes in near the middle and Melania Trump was second from the bottom. 

Zogby Analytics polled a sampling of Americans for their thoughts on the past 12 women who have served as first lady. 

The results were based on how many of the 5,437 likely voters said each of the First Ladies was great. 

Be sure and note that Michelle Obama is second only to the late Jackie Kennedy in the poll, which is certain to enrage Donald Trump and his supporters, who have long tried to denigrate Mrs. Obama and her husband.

The fact that current First Lady Jill Biden is ranked so high though her husband has been in the White House for less than a year is also notable.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Melania is near the bottom of the poll. Keep in mind a few of the more controversial things she did and said while her husband was in office:

  • During a visit to see detained children at the US border, she wore a Zara jacket with “I don’t really care, do u?” emblazoned across the back. It left a bad taste in the mouths of many after her husband appeared seemingly apathetic to having separated children from their parents.
  • Melania hasn’t given many speeches, but when she did, they never went without controversy – whether she was accused of plagiarising Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech or labelled a hypocrite for celebrating diversity at the 2020 Republican National Convention (RNC) years after questioning Barack Obama’s nationality.

Though we can’t yet know if Melania’s ranking among former first ladies will improve, when you consider that her husband continues to say and do incredibly disgusting things, it seems unlikely that Mrs. #BeBest will ever be anything more than a footnote in American history that most of us would rather forget.

Melania Asked If She’d Get A Budget And Staff After She Left The White House

Donald and Melania Trump are now Floridians, residing at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

But according to CNN, before her husband left office, the former first lady wanted to know if she could get more goodies and have taxpayers foot the bill for them:

“In mid-November, as President Donald Trump railed against the election results, his wife, first lady Melania Trump publicly agreed with his sentiments. But privately, a handful of days after the final state tally, the first lady tasked an emissary with discreetly finding out what was available to her in terms of budget and staff allocation for post-White House life.”

Budget and staff? Really? Haven’t she and her husband fleeced the Treasury out of enough money already?

The answer to Melania’s query came back quickly:

“The short answer is no. While there are post-presidential perks for such things for the outgoing commander in chief, budgets to set up an official office and staff and cover some travel costs, there is nothing from the government for any first lady, save a paltry $20,000-a-year pension, which is paid out only if her husband dies.”

Trump Indictment: A Female Family Member May Have Helped Him Hide Documents

When he spoke to the media this afternoon to formally announce the indictment of former president Donald Trump on 37 charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents and obstruction of justice, Special Counsel Jack Smith urged Americans who wanted to know why the indictments had been handed down to read the document he had just given to the press.

Business Insider notes that Smith “urged Americans to read the more than 40-page indictment — which included counts related to the Espionage Act and obstruction of justice — “to understand the scope and the gravity of the crimes charged.”

If you do indeed decide to read the indictment, you’ll immediately notice the scope and breadth of the charges and the evidence the Justice Department used to obtain approval from a grand jury, including allegations that the disgraced ex-president oversaw the moving of boxes containing documents, failed to secure some of the most sensitive information in the American intelligence apparatus (including nuclear secrets and the names of undercover operatives who obtained the information), and Trump’s total disregard for national security, which may have already led to significant leaks of top secret documents to our adversaries and enemies.

Also in the indictment, on page 23, is what appears to be evidence that a female member of the Trump family was either involved in the effort to hide the documents or knew they were being hidden and failed to notify federal authorities. Both are a crime.

Who could that family member be? It was most likely either former First Lady Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, or Lara Trump, the wife of Eric Trump. Note that it was a “Trump family member.” That certainly narrows down the possibilities.

It should also be noted that the woman may not have known what was in the boxes, but the fact that she served as a courier for a message from the former president does make her part of the larger conspiracy and criminal act, if only by accident.

Whoever the family member is, she’s also in serious legal jeopardy. Unless, of course, that person is now cooperating with Smith’s team of prosecutors.

As Special Counsel Smith urged today, we should all read the indictment. Not only to be fully informed, but also so we can have a better sense of just how deeply Donald Trump may have endangered our national security and what that means for us all in the long term.
