House Oversight Chair Comer Claims He ‘Lost’ Key Witness In His Biden Investigation

According to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), his fact-free investigation of President Joe Biden and the Biden family’s “corruption” was going great until the key witness suddenly disappeared.

During an appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Fox host Maria Bartiromo, Comer was asked, “”You have spoken with whistleblowers,” she noted. “You also spoke with an informant who gave you all of this information. Where is that informant today? Where are these whistleblowers?”

Comer: “Well, unfortunately, we can’t track down the informant. We’re hopeful that the informant is still there. The whistleblower knows the informant. The whistleblower is very credible.”

“Hold on a second, Congressman,” Bartiromo said. “Did you just say that the whistleblower or the informant is now missing?”

“Well, we we’re hopeful that we can find the informant,” Comer replied, claiming the informant was in the “spy business” and “they don’t make a habit of being seen a lot.”

Comer then added, “The nine of the ten people that we’ve identified that have very good knowledge with respect to the Bidens, they’re one of three things, Maria, they’re either currently in court, they’re currently in jail, or they’re currently missing.”

Translation: Comer has no witnesses or informants. He made the entire thing up as a way to slag the president in retribution for a real criminal, Donald Trump, being impeached twice and under indictment in Manhattan.

The GOP strategy for attacking the Biden family is simple: They make a lot of noise, throw out a bunch of allegations, and then yell “Squirrel!!” when anyone asks for specifics.

WATCH Jim Jordan Have A Meltdown When A Democrat Calls Him Out For Trashing The FBI

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who may well be one of the most compromised members of the current U.S. Congress, proved again today that while he loves dishing out attacks on others, he cannot handle being criticized by anyone else.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on the POLICE Act, which proposes to crack down on crimes by immigrants, Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA) noted that committee should also take a long look at mass shootings.

“House Republicans have set their sights on defunding and abolishing federal law enforcement agencies,” Dean began. “This is a hypocrisy. It’s an oxymoron, what we’re participating here.”

She added, “Remember, Chairman Jordan has said he wants to use the power of the majority to cut funding for the DOJ and the FBI. Matt Gaetz, Mr. Gaetz, the gentleman from Florida, wants to abolish the ATF.”

The led Jordan to say that the FBI had targeted Catholics: “I do think we should evaluate how the American tax dollar going to that organization is being spent. That to me seems common sense.”

“So heck yes, this committee should look at that,” he added. “We have primary jurisdiction over the Justice Department. And we are doing that.”

Dean: “So it seems to me that it is very clear you support defunding the FBI.”

That’s when Jordan had a hysterical hissy fit.

“I didn’t say that!” he thundered. “I said we’ve got to look at, one of the things we do in this business, in this Congress, is you look at how you appropriate funds.”

“If you don’t want to, if you just wanna keep sending money to the FBI that’s spying on people in church, go right ahead and take that position,” Jordan added.

Gym is still angry with the FBI for carrying out a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago that led to the retrieval of dozens of classified documents taken illegally from the White House by convicted sex offender and former president Donald Trump.

Democrats Are About To Turn Jim Jordan’s Next Hearing Into His Worst Nightmare: Report

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has scheduled a hearing on crime in the city of Manhattan for next Monday, April 17 as part of spotlighting what Jordan claims are the “victims” of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who indicted failed former president Donald Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records last month.

But the hearing may wind up turning into a massive public relations nightmare for Jordan, according to Greg Sargent of The Washington Post.

The emerging details are already shining a harsh light on what you might call the ‘governing by Fox News’ problem, in which Republicans use committee hearings to create right-wing media boomlets but ultimately run into the buzzsaw of outside scrutiny, Sargent reports.

Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY), who sits on the committee chaired by Jordan, says he’s looking forward to the “field hearing” planned by the chairman.

“We are eager to use this as an opportunity to highlight what is the real pressing issue in terms of public safety around the country. And that’s the prevalence of assault weapons.”

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, Sargent adds. Others Democrats on the committee are also planning to give Jordan a humiliating fact-check to counter his bullshit.

Committee Democrats, led by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.), also plan to push back against lurid and widely debunked GOP claims about Bragg, New York City and crime. Among these claims: Bragg didn’t prosecute an alleged murder on the subway (he did); crime in Manhattan is at record highs (that’s nonsense); Bragg is a wholly owned puppet of George Soros (that’s pure fantasy talk); and the judge hearing Trump’s case is a Trump-hater (even Trump’s own lawyer won’t say this).

And there will also be plenty of facts presented by Democrats that tie House Republicans to Trump, serving as a taxpayer-funded “Trump legal team,” according to Congressman Goldman.

“It’s an opportunity for the public to learn exactly the degree of coordination and collusion between House Republican leadership and Donald Trump.”

It should be fun to watch as Jordan loses his temper and proves that he’s nothing more than a whore for Trump and the most extremist elements of the GOP. Grab your popcorn and settle in for a show.

Maxine Waters Takes A GOP Colleague To School When He Whines About ‘Socialism’ In The US

It’s a favorite red herring used by Republicans when they cannot possibly win a debate on facts or reason: Cry socialism.

But as one GOP congressman found out Tuesday, using the socialism cry doesn’t always end well when someone turns the argument on its head and exposes you as as fearmongering demagogue.

The setting was the House Rules Committee. Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY) insisted, “We will not have a cradle to grave dependency. This country will not be all things to all people. We cannot create an expectation that government is all things to all people.”

Langworthy then asked Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who was testifying as a witness:

“Do you agree with Donald Trump’s statement in the 2019 State of the Union that America will never be a socialist country.”

Waters noted that the Trump administration ran up the national debt and spent like a drunken sailor, pointing out that Langworthy’s fears about socialism were bogus, asking him if the vaunted GOP/Trump Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) that many Republicans in Congress took funds from was socialist.

Langworthy reiterated his question about whether or not Waters agreed with what Trump said about socialism. To that, she responded:

“President Trump said a lot of things. He said he thought Hitler did some good things. For those of you who continue to embrace Trump and all that he did and said — I reject all that. Trump has proven to be someone who is in line with dictators and admires them and claims to love them, so I reject any and everything Trump has to say.”

Finally, Waters shut down Langworthy by telling him:

“Sometimes you like socialism, sometimes you act like you don’t.”

MT Greene’s Attempt To ‘Legislate’ Gets Defeated By One Of The Largest Margins In History

Now that she has the full support and backing of Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, who said earlier this week that he will “always take care of her,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is trying to act like a responsible legislator and try to pass legislation.

However, her first attempt at that endeavor didn’t go very well on Thursday, as an amendment she introduced regarding the sale of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) went down in flames, losing by one of the largest margins in the history of Congress.

According to HuffPost:

New House rules put in place by the Republican majority allow any lawmaker to offer an amendment. The Hill reported that led to some 140 amendments being proposed for a bill regarding the use of the strategic petroleum reserve. Greene’s proposed amendment would have forbidden President Joe Biden from selling oil from the reserve.

The conspiracy theorist ― who spoke last year at a white nationalist event ― was joined by just 13 others as the amendment failed 14-418.

418 to 14. Wow! That’s about as lopsided of a margin as you’ll ever see in the House of Representatives, and it’s indicative of a much larger trend taking place now that Republicans run the House: Amendments and bills that have no chance of passing being introduced so someone can claim credit as proof that he or she is doing their job.

Some even suggested that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who was once best friends with Greene, was clearly trying to troll Greene with this tweet:

That was followed by other online mockery aimed directly at the Georgia Republican, who was reminded that she’s not very good at pretending to be anything other than a punchline.

For her next feat, perhaps Marge can pull a rabbit out of her ass and pretend she’s finally accomplished something.
