Lauren Boebert Accused Of ‘Illegally Spending’ $60,000 In Run-Up To 2022 Midterm Election

Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is in trouble yet again for illegally spending $60,000 worth of campaign money in the run-up to the 2022 midterm election and reporting it improperly, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC).

End Citizens United filed the complaint. It alleges that Boebert spent some $60,000 on “get out the vote” phone calls and text messages.

Those outreach efforts are considered “in-kind” expenditures, but Boebert’s campaign didn’t report them as such, which is a violation of FEC rules.

According to the complaint, Newsweek reports,”Boebert may have made an illegal in-kind contribution to herself that exceeds the $5,000 limit set by federal law, or spent money to influence another campaign without reporting it, as required by federal law.”

“Congresswoman Boebert used her leadership PAC as a personal bank but, unfortunately for her, this practice is illegal under federal law,” End Citizens United President Tiffany Muller noted.

The details of the expenditures clearly indicate that Boebert and her campaign did indeed violate the FEC rule.

Boebert For Congress reported paying $4,623.22 to Telephone Town Hall Meeting, Inc. for “text message advertising” on October 28, 2022, FEC filings show, while We The People Leadership PAC paid $6,221.73 to Telephone Town Hall Meeting, Inc. for “Voter Contact – GOTV Calls/Texts”

Then, on November 18, 2022, We The People Leadership PAC paid Telephone Town Hall Meeting, Inc. for $53,760.25 for conducting “Voter Contact – GOTV Calls/Texts.”

The group believes that as two of the payments occurred on the same day, this also indicates the leadership PAC’s disbursement was either a contribution to Boebert’s campaign or an independent expenditure in support of Boebert or other candidates.

The congresswoman has not yet commented on the alleged violation.

Lauren Boebert Tries To Quote The Declaration Of Independence And It Doesn’t Go Well

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is the dumbest member of Congress. After all, she had to take the GED high school equivalency exam multiple times before she finally managed to pass it.

On Tuesday, Boebert once again proved her stupidity during a discussion with right-wing agitator Charlie Kirk on his podcast.

The topic was guns and the Second Amendment, which led Kirk to comment, “So Lauren, we’re seeing the gun grabbers going into full gear. Let’s just play a couple pieces of tape here. Um, let’s go to, I haven’t even heard this one yet, Joe Scarborough.”

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough:

“They talk about a freedom that they’ve made up in their own twisted heads because they’ve been, they’ve been whipped into a paranoid frenzy by the NRA for 25 years. You know, now they’re claiming the Second Amendment protects things it just doesn’t protect.”

That led Kirk to ask the Colorado Republican, “Lauren, did we just invent this out of thin air because of a quote, ‘paranoid frenzy?’ Your response.”

Boebert replied:

“Right. This made-up freedom. Uh, I don’t think that defending, uh, one’s life is a made-up freedom. Um, it, it’s right there, um, in the preamble, we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, um, or personal property, whichever rendition or whatever version you want to, uh, go by. Um, but also this is an assault on cops are, are you kidding me?”

The right to personal property? That’s nowhere in the Declaration of Independence, which it seems Boebert was attempting (and failing) to quote.

Here are the “inalienable rights” cited in the preamble to the Declaration:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Twitter users gave Boebert an “F” for her version of the preamble.

Democrat Swats Down MT Greene On Guns: ‘You Guys Are Worried About Banning Books – Dead Kids Can’t Read!’

At a Committee on Oversight and Accountability hearing this week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) got swatted down by Democratic Congressman Jared Moskowitz (FL) on the issue of guns, gun safety, and the mass shooting at a school in Nashville that left six dead, including three young children.

Moskowitz began by remarking:

“There are six people that are dead in that school including three children because you guys got rid of the assault weapons ban.
“Because you guys made it easy for people who don’t deserve to have weapons, who are mentally incapable of having weapons of war, being able to buy those weapons and go into schools.”

The Florida Democrat then noted the hearing itself was a joke with the GOP focusing on car theft and public urination in the District of Columbia:

“You guys want to talk about DC public schools and crime? I don’t I don’t want to burst your bubble over there, but mass murder in schools is crime.

“You want to talk about 1,300 cars being stolen, 550 people have been murdered in school. Who cares about the cars? What about the kids?”

Moskowitz continued:

“No hearing for them. 330,000 kids have experienced gun violence in this country. The number one killer of school aged children in this country. Gun violence. How do you think for the parents who have had to bury their kids who have had to decide what to put their kids clothes, but their kids when they buried them? Or kind of box they have to pick out for their child or for when they come home?”

When it was her time to speak, Greene began whining, “I was an 11th grade and Joe Biden made our school gun free school zones. One of the students in my school brought three guns to school and our entire school went on lockdown, because he was the only person with a gun. There was no good guy with a gun to protect us kids at school.”

She added:

“So, if you want to have a good talk about schools, and protecting children, we need to talk about protecting our children the same way we protect our president, the way we protect our celebrities.”

However, Congressman Moskowitz had the perfect retort to Greene’s claims:

“Did the good guys with the guns stop six people from getting murdered? No. But you know what? AR 15’s, have you ever seen what those bullets do to children? You know why you don’t hunt with an AR 15 with a deer, because there’s nothing left. And there’s nothing left as these kids when people go into school and murder them while they’re trying to read.

“You guys are worried about banning books – dead kids can’t read.”

If guns were the solution to crime the way Republicans claim, wouldn’t the United States be the safest country on the planet? It isn’t, and the proliferation of guns is a big part of the problem.

MT Greene Humiliates Herself By Suggesting The GOP’s Enemies Are ‘Quacking In Their Boots’

As votes continue to be counted in several key congressional races across the country. it has become clear over the last 48 hours that Republicans underperformed in spectacular fashion when it comes to the midterm elections.

One member of the GOP who did win was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), whose heavily gerrymandered district helped her glide to a second term in office.

Despite the underwhelming results for Republicans, Greene took to Twitter and posted this :

A few minutes later, Greene realized her mistake and posted another tweet:

Quacking would probably be more appropriate since there’s no reason anyone should be afraid of a political party that is being dragged down by failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump and appears less relevant by the day.

Greene was mocked for not bothering to proof her tweet before hitting “send,” and some of the replies are pure gold.

GED Queen Lauren Boebert Proves Her Ignorance Of English While Reading A Bible Verse

Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is once again proving that not only is she ignorant when it comes to the English language, she’s also a hypocrite who doesn’t understand the Bible she loves to quote as a defense for her indefensible actions and utterances.

Case in point: Boebert was reading from the Book of Romans, HuffPost reports, when she ran across a word that completely threw her.

Boebert, a conspiracy theorist who has embraced QAnon extremism, was reciting a passage from Romans that ― in “The Message” edition she was reading from ― referred to “wanton killing.” Except Boebert pronounced it more like “wonton,” the delicious dumpling often found in soup at Chinese restaurants.

“I don’t know what a wonton killing is. I’m gonna have to look that one up, but it sounds interesting.”

Oh, shit! There’s gonna be a wonton killing. Sure hope someone brought the teriyaki or sweet and sour sauce.

Of course, Boebert’s massive ignorance of the language that confounds her shouldn’t surprise anyone. She didn’t even manage to earn her GED high school equivalency until she was elected.

Fact-checking site Snopes.com confirmed that Boebert did indeed wait until after her election to get her GED:

On her educational background, she said she never claimed to have graduated from Rifle High School. “I went to my high school,” she said.

“I was a brand-new mom, and I had to make hard decisions on successfully raising my child, or getting to high school biology class. And I chose to take care of my child,” she said.

Boebert said she received her GED after completing a four-course review.

“I didn’t go through the typical education course,” she said. “I was a great student. I had great grades. I loved being there, but I was starting my family and had different priorities.”
