Donald Trump Social Media WTF?!

Trump’s Attorneys Compare Him To Galileo And Social Media Can’t Stop Laughing

Thought you’d heard all of the absurd bullshit imaginable when it comes to disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump? Before you answer, consider what his attorneys argued Monday in an attempt to get their client reinstated on Twitter.

According to the Donald’s lawyers, the failed ex-president is a lot like Galileo, HuffPost reports:

Trump compared himself to Abraham Lincoln when he was president, so perhaps his legal team didn’t think it was a stretch to compare him to Galileo, the so-called “father of modern science” who was persecuted by the Catholic Church in the 17th century for asserting that the Earth revolved around the sun.

“Most people once believed these to be crackpot ideas; many still do. But crackpot ideas sometimes turn out to be true. The earth does revolve around the sun, and it was Hunter Biden, not Russian disinformation agents, who dropped off a laptop full of incriminating evidence at a repair shop in Delaware,” Trump’s lawyers wrote, per Politico. “Galileo spent his remaining days under house arrest for spreading heretical ideas, and thousands of dissidents today are arrested or killed by despotic governments eager to suppress ideas they disapprove of. But this is not the American way.”

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has said he would reinstate Trump to the social media platform, but has yet to do so, probably because he’s too busy trying to make sure his $44 billion vanity purchase doesn’t go down the drain financially.

As you’d expect, social media had some thoughts on Trump being placed in the same exalted company as Galileo.

Fox News Joe Biden The Biden Administration WTF?!

Fox News Accuses The Biden Administration Of Being ‘Too Pro-Christmas’

For years, Fox News and others on the right have suggested that liberals and progressives are antagonistic to anything religious or sacred, even going so far as to declare that there’s a “War on Christmas.”

Now, however, it seems Fox has decided that the Biden White House is “too pro-Christmas” and is overlooking Thanksgiving, according to Alex Henderson of AlterNet.

At 6 PM on Monday, November 21, Fox News announced its “all-American Christmas tree lighting.” But only four later, on far-right host Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show, “The Ingraham Angle,” the following words appeared on the screen: “Biden White House Jumps the Gun on Christmas.”

Twitter quickly reminded Fox of their enormous hypocrisy.

Elections GOP WTF?!

Ditzy Herschel Walker Declares: America Is ‘The Greatest Country In The United States’

Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker is trying to drum up support as he heads into a December 6 runoff election with incumbent Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock (D).

Why is there a runoff? The Associated Press explains:

A third candidate, Libertarian Chase Oliver, took 2.1% in the initial round of balloting Nov. 8. That was enough to keep both Warnock and Walker, the former University of Georgia football standout, from taking more than half the vote, which is required to avoid a runoff.

Less than 1 percentage point separated Warnock and Walker, with Warnock slightly ahead. They will be the only candidates up for consideration Dec. 6.

As he’s done repeatedly since he announced his candidacy, Walker is making a complete fool of himself with remarks he made to a group of supporters, asking them, “Do you know we’re the greatest country in the United States…?”

Yes, we most certainly are the greatest country in the United States because we ARE the United States! Damn! Thanks for that information, Captain Obvious.

If you’ve followed Walker’s campaign at all, then you’ll know this is about the 10 millionth stupid thing he’s said since he announced his candidacy with the enthusiastic support of disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump. Here’s a few other examples:

  •  “They continue to try to fool you like they’re helping you out, but they’re not. They’re not helping you out, because a lot of the money is going to trees. You know that, don’t you? It’s going into trees. We’ve got enough trees. Don’t we have enough trees around here?”
  • In a July 9 appearance, he spoke about climate change, suggesting that Georgia’s “good air decides to float over” to China, replacing China’s “bad air,” which goes back to Georgia, where “we got to clean that back up.”
  • At a town hall and lunch for women on August 19 in Wrightsville, he said that inflation affects women more than men because “they gotta buy groceries.”

Twitter lit up with mockery for Walker’s latest gaffe.

GOP Ron DeSantis WTF?!

Conservatives Melt Down After Character On CBS Show Accuses Ron DeSantis Of Sexually Assaulting Him

Something very odd happened Thursday on the Paramount+ show “The Good Fight,” and it has led to an outpouring of anger and revulsion on social media.

According to Fox News:

The finale of the courtroom drama’s sixth and final season premiered on Thursday with the episode titled “The End of Everything.” In a clip widely shared online, the episode features the main character Diane Lockhart, played by Christine Baranski, meeting with Felix Staples, a flamboyant, gay provocateur who has made appearances in earlier seasons of the long-running show. In a conference room surrounded by lawyers, Staples claims that he was sexually assaulted by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who forced him to have oral sex following a CPAC conference while interning for his office.

The accusation wasn’t left unchallenged, and it soon became clear that the Felix Staples character did indeed fabricate the entire story.

Diane immediately dismisses the accusation as politically motivated “bulls—” despite Staples claiming to have DNA proof. The lawyers spend the episode gathering evidence to expose Staples for lying. He eventually confesses to fabricating the allegations to tarnish the Florida governor’s reputation, because it will put former President Trump “ahead in the polling” in 2024’s presidential race.

Of course, had a show made the same joke about a well-known Democratic contender for the 2024 nomination, right-wingers would have delighted in the idea, probably promoting it online and trying to suggest it was true.

But since DeSantis was the recipient of the jab, conservatives had a full scale conniption fit online, suggesting that putting something like that in the script of a fictional show was a preemptive hit job on the Florida governor.

Ron DeSantis is a public figure and subject to ridicule, even if that ridicule is disgusting. Considering the horrific shit that has been said over the years about Bill and Hillary Clinton by the political right, conservatives really need to put their outrage in neutral and stop being such blatant hypocrites.

Donald Trump WTF?!

Trump Tells Iowa Rally Attendees: ‘Some Of Us Have Horrible Children’

During a rally in Sioux City, Iowa on Thursday evening, disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached ex-president Donald Trump seemed to suggest that his children are “horrible” and don’t deserve to inherit a dime from him, providing that he still has any money left when he leaves this world.

Campaigning for GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley and Gov. Kim Reynolds, Trump went on a riff about the estate tax (which he called the “death tax”), saying he had virtually eliminated it while in the White House.

“So that now, when you pass away, you can leave — if you like your child, I always say, if you don’t like, leave it to charity.
“Some of us have horrible children.”

The former president then asked attendees:

“Do you have horrible children?. Does anybody have, like a child, where you really are not going to leave your farm?”

Ironically, Trump’s remarks came the same day that MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin noted the ex-president’s lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James may have been filed so he can keep his plan of succession secret.

Rubin shared her thoughts on Twitter, writing:

“The lawsuit accuses N.Y. A.G. Tish James of pursuing him for political reasons, rhetoric heard before. So beyond smearing James, what’s the real purpose of the lawsuit?

“The Trust is the ultimate owner of the various entities that comprise the Trump Organization. But it is also more. As Trump himself notes in this new lawsuit, ‘The Trust contains his private estate plan and present decisions regarding the disposition of his assets upon death.’ And he is hellbent on ensuring that New York’s attorney general — and by extension, the public — don’t learn about that plan or the true state of his assets.”

Indeed, if Trump’s after-death estate plans became public, it might well give some in his family all the incentive they need to cooperate with prosecutors such as James.

The Donald’s comments set off weaves of speculation, laughter, and mockery on social media.
