Trump Gets Called A Liar By Mexican President After Claiming He’s Made A New Border Deal

After speaking with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Wednesday, Donald Trump claimed he had achieved a great breakthrough with the Mexican government, even posting about it on social media.

Wow! It sounds like they had quite a conversation. But, as with nearly everything Trump says, it turns out to be less than accurate.

Sheinbaum responded to Trump’s claim with a statement of her own.

“In our conversation with President Trump, I explained to him the comprehensive strategy that Mexico has followed to address the migration phenomenon, respecting human rights. Thanks to this, migrants and caravans are assisted before they reach the border. We reiterate that Mexico’s position is not to close borders but to build bridges between governments and between peoples.”

It doesn’t sound like President Sheinbaum has agreed to close the Southern border, does it? Actually, quite the opposite.

HuffPost notes that the two leaders also discussed Trump’s proposed tariffs on goods entering the United States from Mexico.

The two spoke after Trump on Monday threatened to impose a 25% tax on all products entering the country from Canada and Mexico as soon as he takes office. He also vowed a 10% tariff on goods from China.

Trump said the tariffs would remain in place until “such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!”

Donnie was roundly mocked after he got corrected by Sheinbaum.

WATCH: Combat Vet Destroys Republican Over Use Of American Troops For Deportations

Iraq War veteran Paul Rieckhoff dismantled GOP strategist Scott Jennings Monday evening on CNN during a discussion of Donald Trump’s plan to use members of the U.S. armed forces to round up and deport immigrants.

“It is really a sacred and terrifying prospect for anyone who’s been in uniform,” Rieckhoff explained. “You can send me to Iraq but to send me across from American protesters and situations like we’ve seen across America is wrought with a tremendous burden you’re going to put on men and women in uniform.”

That led Jennings to respond that the military would not be used against U.S. citizens, only illegal immigrants. “Which I think most people would agree is a national emergency, is a national security emergency.”

Jennings also claimed that National Guard troops had been deployed before on American soil, which led Rieckhoff to correct him: “To wildfires.”

“To the border,” Jennings insisted.

“To wildfires,” Rieckhoff said once again.

“No, to the border,” Jennings again noted.

Smiling, Rieckhoff replied, “In small numbers.”

Later in the discussion, Jennings told Rieckhoff to stop talking.

“You got to make your speech. Let me —”

Rieckhoff would have none of it.

“Is it a debate with you or am I answering questions with the host? Because every time I come on you want to sidetrack to take me into your talking points.”

“By all means have at it, my friend. You’re the expert,” Jennings sneered.

Rieckhoff finally asked Jennings, “Have you served in uniform?”

“I have served as a United States citizen,” Jennings replied.

“Have you been to the border?” Jennings asked Riekhoff, to which he replied he had not.

“Oh! So you’re not a genius. Go on. By all means. Have at it.”

WATCH Jamie Raskin Give The GOP A Brutal History Lesson On The Issue Of ‘Illegals’

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) gave his GOP colleagues a much-needed history lesson Wednesday during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee.

According to HuffPost, the hearing was on the Equal Representation Act, a piece of legislation that would mandate a citizenship question on any future U.S. census beginning in 2030.

At one point, Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL) claimed the Founding Fathers “never anticipated” there would be “huge numbers” who weren’t allowed to vote being counted in the census.

That led Raskin to note, “Of course they did. The vast majority of Americans couldn’t vote when the country started.”

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) interjected, “He said the founders never anticipated this volume of illegals. Don’t twist my colleague’s words.”

Raskin then dealt his GOP colleagues a devastating history lesson.

“There was no immigration law when the Constitution was adopted at all. In fact, the only illegals in the country, at least according to the native population, were the people writing the Constitution.”

The Constitution, it should be noted, was also signed by several Founding Fathers who weren’t even born in the United States. Wouldn’t that technically make them “illegals,” too?

Donald Trump’s Latest Angry Rant About Immigrant Children Gets Turned On His Own Kids 

Over the weekend, failed one-term former president Donald Trump attacked immigrants and their children as part of a campaign rally he held in Dayton, Ohio.

“I don’t know if you call them people. In some cases, they’re not people in my opinion. But I’m not allowed to say that because the radical left says that’s a terrible thing to say,” Trump ranted.

Trump has also claimed, “They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. When they do that, we got a lot of work to do. They’re poisoning the blood of our country.”

But as “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough noted Monday morning, the irony of Trump’s remarks cannot be overstated, as four of his five children — Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Barron — were given birth by immigrants.

That led Rev. Al Sharpton to remark, “You may disagree with the policy, but to make people less than human is exactly the kinds of things that Blacks went through in America; being called three-fifths of a man. We’re now dealing with different policies based on those that are on the right that want to do it for different strokes for different folks.”

“I’d remind Donald Trump, his own in-laws were immigrants that had to be brought into citizenship,” he continued. ” So what makes their blood different than somebody’s blood from South America that may be seeking a better life, and we need to have a policy that would not have them come in a way that would be contrary to our view.”

“But clearly, we can’t act like their blood is poisonous.”

“Reverend, if I’m not mistaken, one, two, three, four of his five children are children of immigrants,” Scarborough interjected. “Four of his five children are children of immigrants. I don’t get it. So did they poison the blood of America when they came here? Are his children poisoning the blood?”

“How would he feel if politicians were saying his children and his wives poisoned the blood of America?”

Sharpton concurred.

“By his definition, he participated in that, by his own definition. I mean, this is absolutely offensive beyond politics.”

Of course, as with everything Trump says and does, he thinks his rhetoric doesn’t apply to him. He’s one of the biggest hypocrites on the planet, and he belongs in prison.

WATCH A Democrat Shred The GOP At House Hearing: ‘You Bend The Knee To The Orange Jesus!’

During a 15-hour long hearing of the House Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday evening to discuss the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Rep. Rob Menendez (D-NJ) excoriated his Republican colleagues for using the issue of border security to boost their likely 2020 presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

According to HuffPost, Menendez “said the House Homeland Security Committee has held 17 hearings on the border, but zero full committee hearings on other issues within its jurisdiction such as emergency preparedness, cyber threats, infrastructure protection and more.”

“We have not lived up to our oversight obligation here on this committee because you all are obsessed with the border,” Menendez said. “Because you bend the knee to the ‘Orange Jesus’ as you refer to him across the aisle.”

Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney (WY) revealed in her 2023 book that Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) referred to Trump as the Orange Jesus. Green is now chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.

Menendez went on to call the impeachment hearings a “sham,” adding, “I’ve tried to listen here. I try to be a team player, I really do. I try not to engage in the partisanship. But I’ve had it.”

Video of Menendez’s comments has garnered over 170,000 views and drew praise on social media.
