Kari Lake Pretends To Be A Superhero And Gets Swatted Down By ‘Wonder Woman’ Star Lynda Carter

Failed 2020 Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake and her supporters are trying desperately to help her remain relevant so she can likely run for the U.S. Senate from the Grand Canyon State in next year’s election, but a meme being shared on social media didn’t sit well with a beloved celebrity.

Lake, who also claims undying loyalty to former president Donald Trump, was the subject of the meme, which featured her lake superimposed over that of actress Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman on the 1970s television show, Newsweek reports.

With Lake’s anticipated run, a meme recently started circulating on X that showed her face superimposed over that of Carter’s in her hit 1970s TV series Wonder Woman. The show, which was based on the DC superhero character of the same name, aired on ABC and later CBS from 1975 until 1979.

However, Carter, who has often criticized Trump on social media, took umbrage to the image, which sees Lake rebranded as “MAGA Woman”—and she made her feelings known in a blistering statement posted on X on Thursday.

Here’s the meme:

Carter’s response was devastating, especially since it perfectly defined who Lake is and isn’t.

Lake decided to respond to Carter, but she only made matters worse by doing so.

Lake’s reply got her pilloried on Twitter/X, or whatever Elon Musk is calling the site this week.

Trump Says Retiring Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley Deserves ‘DEATH!’ For Disagreeing With Him

Proving for the millionth time that he’s completely unfit for office and deserving of a long prison term, failed one-term, twice-impeached, and four-times indicted former president Donald Trump angrily lashed out at Gen. Mark Milley, who is retiring as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff next week.

Clearly triggered by a report from the Atlantic that revealed Milley and other top U.S. military officials had to try and restrain Trump from making monumental mistakes in both domestic and foreign policy, the disgraced ex-president suggested on his Truth Social site that Milley was deserving of death for daring to disagree with him.

“Mark Milley, who led perhaps the most embarrassing moment in American history with his grossly incompetent implementation of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, costing many lives, leaving behind hundreds of American citizens, and handing over BILLIONS of dollars of the finest military equipment ever made, will be leaving the military next week. This will be a time for all citizens of the USA to celebrate!”

He then added:

“This guy turned out to be a Woke train wreck who, if the Fake News reporting is correct, was actually dealing with China to give them a heads up on the thinking of the President of the United States. This is an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH! A war between China and the United States could have been the result of this treasonous act. To be continued!!!”

If Trump happens to win the 2024 election, expect him to turn this country into a police state reminiscent of Nazi Germany. He has no respect for any of the institutions that keep this nation safe, secure, and free.

Donald Trump belongs in prison for the rest of his life. It’s really that simple.

Pete Buttigieg Testified Before Hostile Republicans – And He Kicked Their A**es: VIDEO

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg walked right into the proverbial lion’s den when he testified before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and he quickly schooled committee Republicans on topics ranging from climate change to subsidies for Big Oil.

U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) suggested that Buttigieg was personally to blame for “killing” the U.S. auto industry by supporting the development of electric vehicles.

“I don’t know if you can justify or how you justify forcing my constituents to pay for EVs [electric vehicles] and EV infrastructure for coastal elites and wealthy people, but somehow you do,” Perry remarked.

Buttigieg: “Well, I need to point out that wealthy people were specifically excluded from the Inflation Reduction Act.”

Perry: “Well. Do you dispute that two-thirds of EV owners, are owned by people over 100,000, that make over 100,000?”

Buttigieg noted that the price of electric vehicles is going down and wondered if Perry was opposed “cutting their costs.”

“I’m not against cutting the cost. The market should do it,” Perry replied. “But you want the government, you want my taxpayers to pay to cut the cost.”

That led to Buttigieg asking about taxpayer-funded subsidies for the oil and gas industry.

“If you are of the view that there should be no subsidy to propulsion vehicles, then are you against oil and gas subsidies?”

Another GOP congressman told the secretary, “Nobody wants these electric vehicles unless you’re an elite that can afford them – people in may district sure as hell don’t want them.”

The secretary responded, “We’re doing this for three reasons, even though the EV revolution’s going to happen.”

Buttigieg also told Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) that “climate change is real,” which led the congressman to reply, “This one’s called Autumn.”

“Yeah, that’s the seasons changing which respectfully is not the same as the climate changing,” Buttigieg retorted.

But perhaps the best exchange was between Buttigieg and U.S. Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO), who asked the secretary about the cost of his “private” flights, to which he responded:

“I knew this might come up, so I brought some numbers. Since getting the job, I have taken—these are estimates, give or take a couple—but I’ve taken 638 flights.”

“607 of them were commercial, 10 of them were on military aircraft such as Air Force One, and 21 were on FAA aircraft—representing about 3 percent of the flights.”

He added, “Just once again, the way I usually travel is an economy class aboard an airliner like everybody else, when we do it differently, it’s often because it will save taxpayer money.”

Here’s some video clips from Buttigieg’s testimony:

Garland Goes NUCLEAR On Republican For Accusing Him Of Religious Discrimination

Attorney General Merrick Garland went off on Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday when the congressman suggested that the Justice Department discriminates against Catholics who are opposed to abortion.

Van Drew began by remarking, “The two-tiered system of justice is clear and it’s clear to the American public. And the buck stops with the man in charge. That man is you. The actions of the DOJ are on you. The decline of Americans trust in our federal law enforcement is on you. The political weaponization of the DOJ is on you. Attorney General, I need a simple yes or no to the following. Just yes or no because we don’t have much time. Do you agree that traditional Catholics are violent extremists, yes or no?”

The AG replied,  “Let me answer what you’ve said in that long list of-“

“Attorney General, I control the time. I’m gonna ask you to answer the questions I ask,” Van Drew insisted.

Garland: “You’ve controlled the time by asking me a substantial number of things and I –”

Van Drew:  “I didn’t ask you those things, I made a statement. Attorney General, through the chair I ask you, do you agree that traditional Catholics are violent extremists? Answer the question.”

“I have no idea what traditional means here, let me just-” Garland insisted before Van Drew cut him off again.

“Catholics! Catholics that go to church.”

Garland: “May I answer your question? The idea that someone with my family background would discriminate against any religion is so outrageous! So absurd!”

Garland’s family fled from Russia due to anti-Semitism, and the fact that Van Drew would ask such a question clearly infuriated him.

Van Drew continued to press.

“Mr. Attorney General, it was your FBI that did this. It was your FBI that was sending — and we have the memos, we have the emails –were sending undercover agents into Catholic churches.”

The AG replied, “Both I and the director of the FBI have said that we were appalled by that memo.”

Mediaite notes that Van Drew was clearly referring to recent convictions of pro-life Catholics who blockaded family planning clinics:

Garland and Van Drew continued to spar over the DOJ’s treatment of religious Catholics. The former’s DOJ has been criticized for its zealous prosecution of pro-life activists. Last week, two 70+ year old women were found guilty of being “engaged in a conspiracy to create a blockade at the reproductive health care clinic to prevent the clinic from providing, and patients from receiving, reproductive health services.”

John Fetterman Just Commented On Lauren Boebert’s Theater Antics – And It’s PERFECT

Over the few days, it seems Republicans have been much more offended, upset, and downright apoplectic about the fact that the Senate dress code has been relaxed than one of their own, Rep. Lauren Boebert, (R-CO) being ejected from a Denver theater for vaping and engaging in sex play with her boyfriend even though there were children in the audience.

Of course, that shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s been paying attention over the past several years (especially since Donald Trump appeared on the national political scene), because today’s GOP is a party of massive hypocrisy on so-called “moral” issues regarding freedom and sexuality.

Today, however, some equilibrium was restored to the political universe with a tweet sent out by Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), who has been shamed by Republicans for not wanting to wear a business suit to perform his duties as a member of the Senate.

Here’s how Fox News breathlessly reported on Fetterman and the new relaxed dress code:

DRESS TO IMPRESS?: People are furious after the Senate dropped its dress code requirement — and they’re saying there is only one lawmaker to blame. Why the bar is being “lowered”

People are furious? What people? Republicans, of course. Most Democrats aren’t upset, and, truth be told, if indeed clothes make man, how does the GOP explain that the person their party worships is a convicted sex abuser who has lusted after his own daughter and is now facing 91 criminal charges? He almost always wears a suit, but he’s still a disgusting pervert and scumbag.

What we need here is some levity and sanity to make the debate more palatable, and that was provided by none other than John Fetterman himself, who fired off this:

“I figure if I take up vaping and grabbing the hog during a live musical, they’ll make me a folk hero.”

Even though the posting was on social media, you could almost hear the applause across the digital ether.
