Trust Fund Brat Don Jr. Whines About Student Loan Relief And Gets Squashed Flat On Twitter

As you’d expect, a privileged douchebag who has been handed everything since he was born is absolutely apoplectic that President Joe Biden announced today that he would be forgiving up to $20,000 in student loan debt for millions of Americans.

The plan, according to The Washington Post, was a long time in coming but could make a dramatic difference:

More than 40 million Americans could see their student loan debt reduced — and in many cases eliminated — under the long-awaited forgiveness plan President Joe Biden announced Wednesday, a historic but politically divisive move in the run-up to the midterm elections.

Fulfilling a campaign promise, Biden is erasing $10,000 in federal student loan debt for those with incomes below $125,000 a year, or households that earn less than $250,000. He’s canceling an additional $10,000 for those who received federal Pell Grants to attend college.

That led Donald Trump Jr. to fire off two angry tweets:

Wow! Just wow.

How ironic is it that someone who had his education paid for by his daddy and has never actually worked a day in his life is complaining about people with less getting a break from the crippling load of debt they’re carrying because they wanted to better themselves?

Oh, and the line about “gender study degrees” is just complete bullshit, straight out of the talking points that are reiterated night after night on Fox News and Newsmax, both of which are little more than GOP propaganda networks. It’s red meat for the extreme right-wing, which thinks that if you don’t major in business or finance, you’re wasting your life.

Fortunately, Junior got a heavy dose of opprobrium from Twitter users who reminded him that he should have sat out this particular debate.

Donald Trump Jared Kushner The Trump Adminstration

Jared Kushner Is Asked If He’d ‘Work For Trump Again’ – His Response Is Incredibly Revealing

You’ve probably heard or read that former Trump administration senior adviser Jared Kushner (a.k.a) Mr. Ivanka Trump has a “memoir” out about all of the great things (ha!) he accomplished while serving in the White House.

In order to sell more copies of his book, Jared showed up on Fox News for an interview with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino and was posed this question:

“Would you work for Trump again?”

If you think you’ve heard non-responsive replies before, you ain’t heard nothing until you get a load of the word salad that came from Jared:

“Working for him was an honor. I write in the book about how it was a different experience. I’m very proud of the things I got done. It is a big toll, working in Washington…I don’t want people who are from the private sector to be scared to go to Washington. I think that that’s what our founders wanted. They wanted people to leave their farm, go and serve, then go back to their farm. It takes a big toll, but you can get a lot of things done…”

What?! Even Bill Hemmer couldn’t resist reminding Kushner:

“That is not an answer.”

And that led to even more bullshit from Jared, who opined on the matter with this:

“We need not the career political class who have been doing it for 30 years. We need people with different perspectives, outsider approaches, people with real life business experience coming to Washington. That’s what President Trump did. He brought a lot of people like him, but now he’s got a lot of very qualified people with him who I think could help him do things in ways he didn’t have in the beginning of his first term. So for me right now, I’m enjoying my life in the private sector and loving the time with my kids.”

Even Perino seemed tired of the back-and-forth at that point, remarking:

“I’m taking it as a no.”

About the only work Jared, Ivanka, or any of the other Trump family members will likely be for the old man in the future is making sure he has some money in his commissary account so he can buy Little Debbies and ramen soup kits at whatever federal prison he’s shipped to.

Is Donald Trump Blackmailing Lindsey Graham? A Former Republican Operative Weighs In

Back in 2016, when it became clear that Donald Trump might just be the 2016 GOP presidential nominee, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned that nominating Trump would be catastrophic for Republicans, posting his warning on Twitter.

Trump did indeed win the nomination and then went on to win the 2016 election, defeating Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and Graham suddenly became one of the Donald’s staunchest defenders.

So what happened? Why did Graham do a 180 so quickly? Could it have been blackmail?

That question was poised to former Republican operative Tim Miller by Ron Filpkowski this week when Filipkowski asked what member of the GOP had most disappointed Miller in recent years.

Miller named Graham, noting that the senator had been a “hoot” to have on the 2016 campaign trail. At the time, Graham was supporting Jeb Bush and making appearances on the former Florida governor’s behalf:

“Me and Lindsey got to hang out a lot, like, two months. And his hatred for Trump, Ron, was greater than ours…. he would say stuff to me and every once in a while I’d be like, ‘OK, Lindsey, you’re going a little far. He’s really bad, but he’s not Hitler. He’s too stupid to be Hitler.”

That led Filpkowski to ask Miller if he thought perhaps Graham had become an ardent Trumper because Trump had blackmailed him.

Miller replied:

“No, I don’t. I don’t think Trump is good enough at keeping secrets to have blackmail… Lindsey, I think, is just a really weak person.”

Others, however, disagree, and  Jon Cooper of the Democratic Coalition said in 2019 that a Republican told him Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin did indeed have dirt on Graham and it was sexual in nature:

GOP Ron DeSantis Social Media WTF?!

‘Top Gun’ Ad From Ron DeSantis Goes Viral, But Not In The Way He Intended

It probably sounded like such a good idea when it was pitched: We’ll dress Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis up in fighter pilot gear, put him into a fighter jet, and call it “Top Gov.” Genius! Can’t fail!

Oh, but it has, and the fallout is making DeSantis look even more pathetic than he already was.

HuffPost reports:

“Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, this is your governor speaking. Today’s training evolution — dogfighting, taking on the corporate media,” DeSantis said while wearing a Tom Cruise-style leather jacket.

He then discusses how people should deal with those dreaded journalists who keep asking questions he doesn’t want to answer.

“The rules of engagement are as follows. No. 1: Don’t fire unless fired upon, but when they fire, you fire back with overwhelming force. … No. 2: Never, ever back down from a fight. … No. 3: Don’t accept their narrative.”

Throughout, the ad features clips of him refusing to answer media questions ― as though this were a positive thing.

The video has gone viral, but probably not in the way that DeSantis intended, because reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly negative, resulting in lots of mockery aimed directly at the Sunshine State governor.

Crime Donald Trump Espionage Justice Department

DOJ Subpoenas Security Video From Mar-a-Lago – Suspects Trump May Still Have Classified Material

The Department of Justice has subpoenaed security video from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort because “officials are not certain whether they have recovered all the presidential records,” according to The New York Times.

Sources told the Times that Justice Department officials are trying to get additional footage of the August 8 raid at the ex-president’s Palm Beach golf resort, a clear signal that the investigation is expanding.

The Times also reports that over 300 sensitive documents were taken by Trump when he left the White House.

Documents seized by the FBI were marked “Top Secret,” “Secret” and “Confidential.”

The disgraced former president is suspected of having violated several sections of federal law, including the Espionage Act, which could result in Trump serving decades in prison if he is charged and found guilty.

On Monday, Trump and his attorneys filed a bizarre court document in which they argue that the former president did indeed engage in illegal behavior:

Specifically, the filing states that Trump was subpoenaed on May 11, 2022, and “On June 2, 2022, President Trump, through counsel, invited the FBI to come to Mar-a-Lago to retrieve responsive documents.”

Approximately a month later, Trump extended an invitation for the FBI to return and verify what he had in his possession. That raises the question of why still had documents after June 2. That led to the search warrant being issued because the ex-president was still in violation of the law.

The court filing also has a direct admission from Trump that he did indeed take classified government documents, which is expressly forbidden and illegal under both the Espionage Act and the Presidential Records Act.

Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe had this to say about Trump’s amateurish court filing:

“It doesn’t really give any good reasons for thinking this warrant was illegal. In fact, one of the amazing things that I agree with is a statement on page 13 that President Trump, he still calls himself President Trump, should not be treated differently from any other citizen. Finally, he gets that right. Any other citizen who took top-secret material to not just a private home but a resort, like Mar-a-Lago, which has been penetrated by Chinese spies and perhaps by others, would be prosecuted under the Espionage Act. So, he is sort of asking Merrick Garland to prosecute him. Thank you, Mr. Trump, I won’t call him President Trump.”
