Gloves Off: Karine Jean-Pierre Puts MAGA Racists In Their Place With A Brilliant Comparison

The issue of race and racism has been in the news quite a lot over the past few days, thanks to two major news stories that have garnered lots of attention and commentary from all sides of the political spectrum.

The first story involves Kanye West (who now prefers to be called Ye) but will be referred to by his given name to avoid confusion.

Kanye decided it would be a great idea to make a incredibly insensitive antisemitic comment in which he basically declared war on Jewish people.

Specifically, West posted this on social media, and got his Twitter account suspended as a result:

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) is also in hot water for saying the following at a Trump rally over the weekend:

“I have never seen like the crime in this country. We all grew up respecting the police. Our moral values. Doing what we could do to help law enforcement in this country. The Democratic party, they have a majority, they could stop this crime today. Some people say, well, they’re soft on crime. No, they’re not soft on crime, they’re pro crime. They want crime. They want crime because they want to take over what you got. They want to control what you have. They want reparations because they think the people that do the crime are owed that. Bulls***. They are not owed that.”

And now we have Nury Martinez, Los Angeles City Council President and and a Democrat, who made horrific comments that are also blatantly racist, The Los Angeles Times reports:

Behind closed doors, Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez made openly racist remarks, derided some of her council colleagues and spoke in unusually crass terms about how the city should be carved up politically.

The conversation remained private for nearly a year, until a leaked recording reverberated explosively Sunday and turned the focus of a sprawling metropolis toward Los Angeles City Hall.

Martinez is being pressured to resign her post, but Tuberville is under no such call from his GOP colleagues, which led a reporter to ask White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at the Tuesday press briefing for her thoughts and those of President Joe Biden on the matter of Nury Martinez, to which she responded:

“Here’s the difference between Democrats and MAGA Republicans. When a Democrat says something racist or antisemitic, we hold Democrats accountable. When a MAGA Republican says something racist or antisemitic, they are embraced by cheering crowds.”

That says it all, and perfectly.

Ted Cruz Humiliates Himself With A Misspelled Attempt To Troll Karine Jean-Pierre

Bless his coal-black heart, Sen. Ted Cruz just cannot resist an attempt to prove what a entitled piece of crap he is, but his latest attack on White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and the Biden administration’s cancellation of some student loan debt wound up boomeranging back on him in a very humiliating manner.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced that he would be cancelling up to $10,000 of student loan debt for millions of Americans who took out those loans to attend colleges and universities.

Shortly after the president presented his plan, Cruz fired off a statement which read:

“The highest concentration of student loan debt is held by people in Washington, DC. This administration’s policy is to force blue collar workers and American families across the country to pay off the cost of a Washington bureaucrat’s college degree – it’s morally bankrupt.

“This announcement is a gut punch to every hard working single mother who worked double shifts in order to pay for her own education, every parent who borrowed against their home to send their kid to college, Americans who sacrificed to make responsible financial decisions, and our nation’s veterans and service members who risked their lives to earn the G.I. Bill.

“Let’s be clear – there is no way to ‘cancel’ student debt. This will cost every taxpayer an average of $2100. Someone will pay the price for this policy and the price is likely to be felt by every American in the form of even higher inflation. This administration is exceeding its legal authority and illegally burdening hard-working Americans with debts they didn’t take on themselves.”

That’s complete poppycock, especially the part about it leading to higher inflation. There is no proof that even remotely suggests the president’s move will lead to higher inflation. And as for $2,100 every taxpayer will pay, why isn’t Cruz complaining about the billions in Paycheck Protection Program loans that have been written off? Because he’s a hypocrite who made sure billionaires that own fracking companies received $35 million in COVID relief funds from the taxpayers. Those billionaires also happen to be major donors to the Texas senator. How’s that for quid pro quo?

And now Ted is trying to troll Jean-Pierre, posting this on Twitter today:

Santa Clause? Hell, most 5-year-old kids know how to spell Santa Claus correctly. Is this the sort of education Ted got at Harvard Law School? If so, they should rescind his degree and demand he retake all of his courses.

Ted Cruz is a monumental asshole. He’s also a jackass who needs to go back to grammar school. Oh, and while he’s at it, it also appears he needs to delete his Twitter account before it leads to another self-own.

Karine Jean-Pierre Sets Peter Doocy Straight When He Whines Biden Is ‘Bragging’ On Falling Gas Prices

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy absolutely hates when good news arrives for President Joe Biden and the administration, as proved today when he whined that the president had been “bragging” on falling gas prices earlier in the day.

Specifically, the president noted:

“You know, we’ve seen some progress. Gas prices are coming down. They’re down almost a dollar a gallon where—from where they were just a month ago.”

That led Doocy to ask White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre:

“Why is the president bragging today about gas prices?”

The press secretary responded:

“Because it’s gone down.”

Doocy:

“It’s still $1.72 higher than when he took office.”

Jean-Pierre:

“It is come down in a way that we haven’t seen–its trajectory coming down in over a decade.”

The Fox reporter continued to press:

“So, over $4 a gallon, is that good?”

Jean-Pierre:

“You want to talk to a nurse or a teacher or a firefighter if having that little bit of breathing room doesn’t matter to them?”

Still trying to provoke Jean-Pierre, Doocy asked:

“Are nurses and teachers and firefighters saying, ‘Gas prices are only $4.11?'”

That’s when Jean-Pierre shut down Doocy with facts:

“I’m saying that even that little bit of breathing room matters to families, especially during the summer when people are traveling, when people are trying to do what they can for their families.”

She then added:

“To say that the changes, the drop that we have seen at the pump per gallon does not matter, I think that is wrong. I think that is not true and I think that does give a little bit of space and breathing room for families and is important.”
