WATCH: Conservative CNN Panelist Gets Shut Down For Saying ‘Both Sides’ Responsible For January 6th

A Republican consultant who worked for the George W. Bush campaign got his head handed to him Friday during a panel discussion on the January 6 hearings and who is ultimately blame for what took place on that fateful day.

Scott Jennings, who has also served as an adviser to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) agreed that failed, one-term former president Donald Trump should not be allowed to run for office again, but then suggested Democrats also had culpability in the Capitol riots:

“I don’t think people who have lost all faith in institutions fully exist on the right. it is clearly also existing on the left, and I know right now, I mean, for as much as Donald Trump’s people want to smash Congress and do what they want to do on January 6th, there are people right now who would, I’m sure would love to do that to the United States Supreme Court and urging Joe Biden to bypass the Supreme Court and bypass Congress and essentially rule by executive –“

Former Deputy Assistant Attorney General Eliott Williams cut Jennings off to interject:

“I don’t think it is a fair argument to sort of both sides insurrection.”

Jennings attempted to recover:

“You think it is not a fair argument to point out that someone tried to go kill Brett Kavanaugh or threatened to burn down the Supreme Court? These people have the same –“

But Juliette Kayyem, who worked in the Department of Homeland Security, was having none of Jennings or his bullshit:

“That wasn’t led by Biden, that wasn’t led by Biden. Come on!”

Jennings:

“I’m not — I’m not saying it was led by Biden. They coddled it.”

Once more, Kayyem was quick to slam Jennings:

“Whatever you believe, Scott, about what the Democrats are doing, just give us a break here on this one, that Trump actually directed the violence — you don’t think he directed the violence?”

Jennings was then forced to admit that Trump was the instigator of the horror on Jan. 6:

“Yes, of course, I do. I said it many times, but I’m telling you David’s [Axelrod] is correct, there is a whole group of Americans who have given up on our process and institutions and they don’t fully exist on the right, which I think you think they do, but I don’t believe they do. “

But people on the left didn’t storm the Capitol or try to overturn an election. That was the Trump acolytes, led by their orange lord and savior. And that fact will never change.

New January 6 Video Footage Provides Damaging Evidence Against The Trump Family

Footage found in a trailer for the documentary “Unprecedented” was acquired by Politico and contains new and damaging evidence that will likely be used against failed former president Donald Trump and members of his family.

The documentary was made by British director Alex Holder and will be seen on Discovery+ as a series.

Politico notes that the new footage shows just how much access Holder was given by the ex-president and also provides insight into how the Trump family dealt with the horror of the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection:

Ivanka frets about a line on her dress, and jokes about covering it with a pet roaming about. “Can I borrow your dog?” she asks her makeup artist. Kushner nervously repositions his tie and asks “Is that OK?” Don Jr., seen at a rally, screams, “We will make liberals cry again!” Eric is caught on a phone call, mysteriously saying, “For the sake of this country, we’re going to get these guys.”

When the film turns to the day of the Capitol riots, we see Trump instructing his supporters to march on the seat of government, along with footage of his acolytes doing as he instructed:

It all builds to Jan. 6, when the Vivaldi suddenly stops and a wide shot of Trump at the “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington appears. “Let’s all walk down Pennsylvania Avenue,” he tells the crowd.

Then Holder’s cameraperson joined the crowd as it marched on the Capitol. “We’ve got to get the roaches out, all of them,” a protester yells straight to camera as he appears to motion toward Congress. Next up is a montage of scenes from the frontlines as the rioters breach the Capitol and police in riot gear are attacked.

As the Vivaldi fades and the movie’s title appears, Trump’s faint voice can be heard from the distance: “Do you miss me yet?”

Holder has turned over hours of footage he shot for “Unprecedented” to the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection.

January 6 Committee Now Has ‘Smoking Gun’ Evidence Against Donald Trump: Report

Now that the January 6 House Select Committee has been able to determine that failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump did indeed play a major part in the conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election and remain in power via a coup, that has opened up new avenues of investigation and potential charges, according to a former federal prosecutor.

Glenn Kirschner was a guest on MSNBC Sunday, and host Cori Coffin noted as she introduced him:

“As we learn more about potential witness tampering during the Jan. 6 committee’s investigation, this week’s testimony of former White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson could explain why those in Trumpworld were so worried about what she might have to say.

“According to Hutchison, Trump knew that some of his supporters would be armed that day, sent them to the Capitol anyway, even hoping to join them. So, does this open up the former president to be criminally liable?”

Kirschner responded in the affirmative:

“Yeah, this is what I would call smoking gun evidence.”

He then added:

“And interestingly, at the last J6 public hearing, we got both smoking gun evidence, and we got loaded gun evidence. And what I mean by that is, as you just played in your lead-in, Cori, the president knew. He was briefed that his crowd was armed with assault rifles and pistols and knives and brass knuckles and bear spray, etc.”

But it was what Kirschner said next that should be of special concern to the ex-president and his cultish followers:

“And you would think a reasonable response from a president would be, oh my goodness, let’s make sure the metal detectors are operating properly. He said just the opposite, take them down, let the armed members of the group in, and they can march to the Capitol from there. To do what? To stop the certification of his political opponent’s election win. So in a very real sense, that smoking gun evidence that Donald Trump wanted to lead what we now know is an armed attack on the Capitol. The loaded gun evidence is, the witness tampering information, and you know, witness tampering just strikes at the very heart of the integrity of investigations, whether congressional or criminal.”

Donald Trump deserves to be indicted and tried for his crimes. Let’s just hope it happens soon.

Former Bush Attorney General Says DOJ Has The Evidence To Indict Trump For 3 Crimes

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is convinced that the Justice Department now has enough evidence to indict failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump for at least three felonies.

Gonzales, who served as AG for George W. Bush, was a guest on CNN Thursday afternoon, was asked about a speech given by Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who serves as vice chair of the January 6 House Select Committee in which she said:

“The reality we face today as Republicans, as we think about the choice in front of us, we have to choose, because Republicans cannot be loyal to both Donald Trump and to the Constitution at this moment.”

That led host Jake Tapper to inquire of Gonzales:

“Do you agree? Do you see it that way?”

“I think that that is a very accurate statement, quite frankly,” Gonzales replied, adding:

“I believe that the Department (of Justice) is going to move forward with a more serious investigation now that this new information and there may be some indictments.”

Tapper followed up by asking:

“Have you seen evidence or at least possible evidence that leads you to wonder whether Donald Trump committed a crime? And if so, which crime?”

Gonzales then laid out the three crimes he believes Trump could potentially be indicted for:

“Yeah, I think that if you can tie him — he knew about — he knew the crowd was dangerous, he encouraged the crowd to go to the Capitol and he knew the crowd was armed, and he knew that the purpose of the — what was going on in Congress, which was to certify the Electoral College count, and yeah, I think one might make the argument that there is certainly the beginnings of a case full of seditious conspiracy, obstruction of Congress. So there are some things there that I think the attorney general will look at, along with witness tampering.

Seditious conspiracy, obstruction of Congress, and witness tampering. The penalty for those crimes is 20 years, five years, and 20 years, meaning if Trump got the maximum, he’d be looking at a sentence of 45 years in federal prison. Considering what he tried to do, that seems like a just punishment.

Trump Was Hoping Pence And Members Of Congress Would Be ‘Killed Or Taken Hostage’ On Jan. 6: Report

Based on testimony from former Trump administration official Cassidy Hutchinson on Tuesday, it’s now clear that failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump wanted to see his vice president, Mike Pence, and members of Congress “killed or taken hostage” according to presidential historian Michael Beschloss.

During an appearance on MSNBC Wednesday morning, Beschloss noted:

“Everything that [Richard] Nixon did in the 1970s is put in the shade by what we have seen here. Nixon didn’t send armed terrorists up to the Capitol, and by everything that we are learning now what Donald Trump wanted to see on the 6th of January was violence. There’s every sign that he wanted to see members of Congress shot or killed or taken hostage, including his vice president, who, of course, is the president of the Senate.”

Beschloss added:

“Have we ever seen a president do 100th of that in the whole history of the United States? Historically, every other president is in one category. Donald Trump is in a category of his own.”

Consider a few more of the things Hutchinson revealed on Tuesday during her two hours of testimony, courtesy of New York magazine:

She said Trump was furious with his security officials, and she overheard him saying, “I don’t f- – -ing care that they have weapons. They’re not here to hurt me.” Later, she said that Trump wanted them to march to the Capitol after his speech.

Previous witnesses had told the January 6 committee that Trump had been saying he wanted to march to the Capitol with his supporters in the weeks leading up to the rally, but Hutchinson revealed that Trump actually tried to go as soon as he finished his speech calling on the thousands assembled before him to march there. Trump boarded a vehicle with the Secret Service, thinking he was being taken to the Capitol.

As we’ve seen many times before, Donald Trump demands loyalty from others, but will toss anyone (even family) under the bus when it suits his purposes. That’s just plain evil.

Here’s Michael Beschloss on MSNBC:
