Over the past week, there’s been what can best be called a reevaluation of former vice president Mike Pence, who has been hailed by some as the man who saved the United States from a coup attempt orchestrated by his former boss, Donald Trump.
While it’s certainly true that Pence refused to delay certification of the electoral votes on January 21, 2021, remarks the former VP made on Monday during an appearance on Fox Business make it clear that Pence remains a lying sack of excrement who cannot be trusted.
Speaking with host Larry Kudlow (who also served in the Trump administration), Pence was asked:
However, what Pence conveniently neglected to mention is that Trump told more than 30,000 lies during his four years in office, including the most dangerous one: That the 2020 election had been “stolen” from him even though he clearly lost in a landslide.
As for being “disconnected” from the American people, Donald Trump repeatedly said COVID was no big deal and would quickly vanish from the face of the planet as soon as the weather got warmer. He also suggested that disinfectant injected into the body could cure the disease.
It’s a mystery why Pence feels a need to remain so loyal to Trump, who suggested that his vice president should probably be executed for refusing to disobey the Constitution.
Whatever Pence’s motivations might be, he’s a lost cause. He’s not a hero and should go down in history as an accomplice to some of the most horrific policies ever enacted by any administration.
