Devin Nunes Gets Slammed By Fox Host For Saying Fox ‘Destroyed’ MSNBC By Refusing To Air Jan. 6 Hearings

Former GOP congressman and current Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes got a lot more than he bargained for when he suggested on Fox News that the conservative network had “destroyed” MSNBC with its decision not to air any of the January 6 committee’s public hearing on Thursday evening.

Nunes was a guest Sunday on “Media Buzz,” and he immediately told host Howard Kurtz that the recent hearings were biased and worthless because there are no supporters of failed former president Donald Trump on the Jan. 6 committee.

Kurtz countered by asking:

“Does that mean the media shouldn’t cover it much? Does it mean they should dismiss videotaped deposition from the likes of Bill Barr, Jason Miller, Jared Kushner?”

Nunes then tried to suggest that ratings for the hearing were a bust:

“To put this in primetime, the numbers were way down. So I don’t understand how these big corporations — I know it was spread across some 20 different networks — when you compare Fox News which didn’t which did not air that live, it just destroyed CNN and MSNBC in the ratings, right?”

But Kurtz wasn’t about to let Nunes blatantly lie about the ratings, countering him by noting:

“Networks like MSNBC did very well covering this hearing. Obviously, it would appeal to the liberal viewers of that network.”

As a matter of fact, 20 million people watched Thursday’s broadcast of the hearings. Fox, on the other hand, only drew about 3 million viewers:

According to the New York Times, at least 20 million viewers tuned in to watch the hearings. Only 3 million opted for Fox, which deliberately avoided televising the historic event.

An audience of at least 20 million people watched the first prime-time hearing of the House Select Committee’s investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on Thursday night, according to Nielsen.

ABC attracted the biggest audience, with 5.2 million viewers. NBC and CBS each had an audience of more than three million. MSNBC averaged more than four million, and CNN drew 2.7 million. (The 20 million figure did not yet include PBS, so the total audience was most likely a bit bigger.)

As usual, Nunes and the other pro-Trump Republicans would rather lie than face facts.

Donald Trump Social Media WTF?!

According To Devin Nunes, Trump’s Truth Social Has Turned Twitter Into A ‘Ghost Town’

Despite evidence to the contrary, Devin Nunes insists that failed, one-term former President Donald Trump’s social media startup, Truth Social, is doing so well that Twitter has become a “ghost town.”

Just last week, according to Newsweek, we learned how pathetic Truth Social actually is:

Last week, a mobile analytics firm stated that downloads for Truth Social were down more than 90 percent since launching in February. During the week of its launch earlier this year, there were more than 870,000 downloads, which has now fallen to approximately 60,000 downloads a week.

But pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! Devin Nunes says the reports of Truth Social being a flop are exaggerated, even though he and Trump and the ones known for exaggeration (a.k.a. lying).

Appearing on Fox Business Thursday morning, Nunes told host Maria Bartiromo:

“There’s not very much activity over at Twitter right now, especially when you compare it to sites like ours, where we’re just in our beginning stages as we continue to test and bring people on day by day.”

Yeah, that must be why Elon Musk just bought a 9.2% share in Twitter instead of Truth Social, which is such a giant failure that not even Trump posts anything on his own social media platform.

Nunes was also pushing his bullshit during an interview he gave to The Washington Times:

“Bottom line is it’s the fastest-growing social media company in history. There hasn’t been one that has grown faster.

“Because we’re building this from scratch without using any of the tech tyrants, anyone who can cancel us, we have to go methodically, step by step, to ensure both quality and reliability.”

Sure thing, Devin. But did he offer any data to support his claims? Nope. It’s just him doing his best imitation of Trump and lying about everything.

Congress GOP WTF?!

Family Of Devin Nunes Holds Illegal Fireworks Display And Winds Up Setting Their Own Dairy On Fire

If perhaps you’ve ever wondered whether or not stupidity is a hereditary trait, consider the case of the family of Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and their dairy farm just outside Tulare, California.

According to The Tulare Advance-Register, a massive 100-ton hay fire is burning at the Nunes and Sons Dairy, which has investigators wondering what exactly might have caused the blaze.

Well, according to neighbors who live near the Nunes dairy farm, it’s all connected a fireworks show held at the dairy on the eve of Independence Day:

“Neighbors on Oakdale Avenue said they witnessed a ‘Disney-style’ illegal fireworks show and party at the dairy, which is run by a relative of Tulare Congressman Devin Nunes.

“Lori Lockwood, who lives across from the dairy, said she heard loud booms and felt her house shake before midnight. She went outside with her husband and watched the colorful display, she said.

Soon after, Lockwood said her husband noticed a fire spreading in the field that separates their property from the Nunes’ family dairy. She called 911.”

“I was concerned because they use the field to grow corn and silage for their cows, and it’s completely dry. We were prepared to leave. Fortunately, Tulare County Fire (Department) responded quickly and put the fire out before it could reach us.”

Exceptionally dry weather in California has led officials to to warn against residents shooting fireworks at home, but apparently the Nunes clan doesn’t think the rules apply to them, much like their more well-known relative.

News of a fire at the dairy is especially ironic in light of the fact that Congressman Nunes sued Twitter over a parody account that pretended to be from a cow at the Nunes family dairy, as CNN reported last year:

“California Republican Rep. Devin Nunes cannot sue Twitter over allegedly defamatory remarks made about him by satirical accounts pretending to be his mother and a cow, a Virginia judge ruled Wednesday.

“Nunes sued Twitter, the two satirical accounts and a third Twitter user in March 2019, demanding $250 million in damages and that the anonymous accounts be unmasked.”

@DevinCow had this to say about the dairy fire:

So is stupidity an inherited trait? Mmmm…ooo….yeah.
