AOC Claps Back HARD After Elon Musk Says She ‘Isn’t That Smart’

Twitter CEO Elon Musk found out the hard way that if you’re going to attack New York Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, you’d better bring more than some pathetic snarky putdown or else be prepared to suffer the consequences.

It seems that Musk saw a video from AOC in which she noted the stark difference in the number of immigrants being allowed into the United States these days versus the much reduced number of immigrants currently being accepted as potential citizens.

Ashely St. Clair of the right-wing Babylon Bee lamely called Ocasio-Cortez out.

That led Musk to join the debate, completely uninvited.

Not that smart? That’s laughable coming from a man who purchased Twitter for $44 billion and has almost driven it into the ground, watching the social media platform lose two-thirds of its total value in just a year’s time.

The Guardian reports:

Fidelity, an asset manager that held a stake in Twitter worth about $20m after Musk acquired the business for $44bn, said in a corporate filing that its stake was now worth just under $6.6m. That would value the overall company, now officially called X Holdings Corp after Musk’s early venture X.com, at just $14.75bn.

Ocasio-Cortez was only too happy to fire back at Musk.

When Musk attempted a retort, his response fell far short, much like his failing career in the business world.

Sorry, Elon, but no one is impressed by your massive failures. In fact, we kind of wish you’d buy a deserted island, move there, and never return.

Oh, and don’t take a cell phone or computer with you when you leave. No one wants to read your juvenile rantings.

Stephen King Gives ‘Jimmy’ Jordan A Brutal Fact-Check On The Issue Of Crime

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) got supremely swatted down by best-selling author Stephen King on the issue of crime, and the result was perfectly on-point, especially since Jordan’s party is on the verge of shutting down the federal government to pretend they’re doing something other than wasting time and taxpayer money on bogus investigations.

On Tuesday, Jordan took the House Judiciary Committee on the road, to the city of Chicago so Republicans could grandstand and claim Democrats are to blame for all of the crime taking place in the United States.

After the hearing, Jordan posted this on Twitter:

That led King to respond with a pointed reminder of what’s actually behind the rise in violent crime.

For example, consider the issue of mass shootings in the U.S., which are increasing rapidly in 2023, according to a recent report from the BBC.

There have been more than 470 mass shootings across the US so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more people are injured or killed. Their figures include shootings that happen in homes and in public places.

For each of the last three years there have been more than 600 mass shootings – almost two a day on average.

How can anyone blame those numbers on any political party or ideology? It’s the proliferation of guns that makes it easier for gun crimes to take place. Fewer guns would mean fewer deaths, much the same way fewer cars on highways reduces the number of fatal auto accidents. That’s just common sense.

Even worse is the fact that Jordan has no solutions to the problem he’s trying to blame on others. He’s just trying to make political hay while more people die of gunshot wounds each and every day in this country

The terror found in Stephen King’s novels is no match for the craven and heartless posturing from mindless, self-serving political hacks like Jim Jordan and his ilk.

Manhattan Discovery List Suggests Donald Trump Fathered An Illegitimate Child

If you take a close look at the discovery list given to attorneys for former President Donald Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, you’ll see a reference to a book alleging that the ex-president fathered an illegitimate child.

That book, MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin notes, is of particular interest since the underlying crimes Trump has been indicted for in Manhattan involve hush money payments he allegedly made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in order to keep her from revealing their affair.

Rubin explained what she thinks the book about the possible Trump love child has to do with Bragg’s case, writing on Twitter, “In New York state, a defendant is entitled to receive all witness testimony before the grand jury and any and all other witness statements provided to the relevant prosecutor’s office. But here, the Manhattan DA’s office also attached this two-page list of books.”

What really caught Rubin’s eye, however, was a book by Dino Sajudin, who worked as a doorman at Trump Tower.

“But what really popped for me was a book by Dino Sajudin, a onetime Trump World Tower doorman who was paid by the National Enquirer’s parent company, American Media, for his story that Trump had a child out of wedlock with a concierge at that building. As the New York Post notes here, Sajudin’s account has been vigorously denied by the woman in question. So is it on the list to show that AMI had a habit of catching and killing stories damaging to Trump? Or for other reasons?”

Rubin continues:

“In any event, I don’t know why Mr. Sajudin’s book is on the Manhattan DA’s discovery list, but I sure would like to find out. Watch this space. p.s. @KatiePhang’s memory FTW: She reminds me the payment to Dino Sajudin — and its mischaracterization in American Media’s books & records — is discussed in the DA’s statement of facts” with a screenshot that you can see below.”

As for the reference to the New York Post article which earlier this year, here’s what it reveals:

Sajudin claims that, when he complained about the concierge at the tower — a Colombian-born woman who, he said, was often rude to residents — he was warned by Trump Organization officials to keep quiet.

“I had to wonder what it was about her that kept her in the tower’s good graces,” Sajudin writes.

He adds that he soon found out that the woman, who is not named in his book, had worked as a housekeeper for the Trump family in the past and was given special treatment as a result.

In addition to taking long lunches and buying “$3,000 handbags and $500 shoes” at Bergdorf, the concierge allegedly pushed everyone around, including top Trump executives.

Trump and his attorneys have denied the former president had any affairs with employees and called the Post report “fake news.”

MT Greene May Have Committed A Federal Crime With Comments She Made During An Interview

During an appearance on Fox “News,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) made some comments that may come back haunt her in a major way if the Justice Department decides to investigate her for endangering U.S. national security.

Greene was a guest on Laura Ingraham’s show, HuffPost reports, when she began talking about classified document she viewed regarding President Joe Biden.

Greene said she read a document inside a SCIF ― a sensitive compartmented information facility ― related to bribery allegations Republicans have made against President Joe Biden but have yet to provide evidence for.

So far so good for Greene, but she should have stopped talking right then. She didn’t. Instead, she began describing the document.

Since the document was shown in a SCIF, that means the FBI considered it to be sensitive and not for public consumption.

Greene then made matters even worse with what she said and did next.

“This is a document that all of America should be able to see, but the FBI is stonewalling us and they would only let us see it in a SCIF,” she said. “Well what I did after reading the document is I made notes when I walked out and I went up to the table.”

Greene also held those notes up to the camera, where anyone could have gotten a screenshot of them.

“I wrote down everything that I had just read so that I could come out and tell the American people what I read,” she said.

If indeed the guilty almost always confess, it certainly seems that Marge did just that, and on national television, which raised more than a few eyebrows, beginning with Mark Zaid, an attorney who specializes in national security.

Others also suggested that Greene had just broken federal law, ironically for almost the same thing her lord and savior, Donald Trump, has been indicted for.

Jack Smith Looking At Recordings Of Ted Cruz Discussing How To Overturn The 2020 Election

Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith is about to have some important new evidence as he continues to investigate the plot to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

According to CNN, Smith is interested in tapes of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) conspiring to help former president Donald Trump illegally remain in office.

Special Counsel Jack Smith has expressed interest in audio tapes recorded by former Fox News producer Abby Grossberg while she worked at the right-wing network, her lawyer said.

Grossberg attorney Gerry Filippatos told CNN on Wednesday that he has given a spreadsheet to the special counsel’s team, detailing the nearly 90 audiotapes in Grossberg’s possession. Talks are underway for a subpoena, so Grossberg can turn over the material to Smith’s team of federal prosecutors, who are investigating efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election.

[…]

In a related development, MSNBC on Tuesday aired a new snippet of one of Grossberg’s tapes. The previously undisclosed audio featured Republican Sen. Ted Cruz talking with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo about his plans to delay Congress’ certification of Joe Biden’s victory on January 6, 2021.

In the taped conversation with Bartiromo, Cruz outlines a plan for delaying the certification by establishing a “commission” to further investigate claims of voter fraud. The Texas senator had proposed a commission in a press release on the same day as the audio recording.

That could wind up resulting in Smith charging Cruz with multiple felonies for conspiring to keep Trump in office, even after it was clear that Joe Biden was the clear victor in both the popular and electoral vote.

In the tape Smith has obtained, Cruz can be heard telling Bartiromo, “As we were looking at this January 6 certification, all of the options that were being discussed were problematic. And so I wanted to find a path that was consistent with the Constitution and the law and that address these very real serious claims.”

According to Cruz, what he said on the tape is no big deal, posting on Twitter:

“This @msnbc [clown] is breathlessly reporting that I ‘secretly’ said in a phone call … the EXACT same thing I said on national television the next morning! And then said again on the Senate floor four days later.”
