The Biden Administration Lays The Ultimate Twitter Burn On Marjorie Taylor Greene For Her Hypocrisy

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has spent a good portion of the day complaining about President Joe Biden’s plan to forgive up to $10,000 in student loan debt for millions of Americans, a plan that is being praised by many economists but almost universally panned by members of the GOP.

Greene went on Newsmax to whine about the loan forgiveness program, remarking:

“For for our government just to say, you know, ‘okay, well your debt is completely forgiven.’ Obviously they have an agenda for that they need votes in November. So the timing is a pure coincidence there as well, but it’s completely unfair and taxpayers all over the country, taxpayers that never took out a student loan, taxpayers that pay their bills and and you know, maybe even never went to college or just hard-working people. They shouldn’t have to pay off the great big student loan debt for some college student that piled up massive debt going to some Ivy League school. That’s not fair.”

The led the White House to do something it rarely does: Respond on social media, reminding Greene that she ripped the taxpayers off by taking a Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP) loan for her family business that was later written off by the U.S. Treasury.

As ProPublica has reported, Greene did indeed take $182,300 via a PPP loan on April 10, 2020. And that loan was forgiven to the tune of $183,504, with interest included.

That makes Ms. Greene one hell of a hypocrite.

But the administration wasn’t finished. They called out other Republicans who took PPP loans and had them written off, too:

Facts are terrible things, aren’t they, Marge?

Ted Cruz Humiliates Himself With A Misspelled Attempt To Troll Karine Jean-Pierre

Bless his coal-black heart, Sen. Ted Cruz just cannot resist an attempt to prove what a entitled piece of crap he is, but his latest attack on White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and the Biden administration’s cancellation of some student loan debt wound up boomeranging back on him in a very humiliating manner.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden announced that he would be cancelling up to $10,000 of student loan debt for millions of Americans who took out those loans to attend colleges and universities.

Shortly after the president presented his plan, Cruz fired off a statement which read:

“The highest concentration of student loan debt is held by people in Washington, DC. This administration’s policy is to force blue collar workers and American families across the country to pay off the cost of a Washington bureaucrat’s college degree – it’s morally bankrupt.

“This announcement is a gut punch to every hard working single mother who worked double shifts in order to pay for her own education, every parent who borrowed against their home to send their kid to college, Americans who sacrificed to make responsible financial decisions, and our nation’s veterans and service members who risked their lives to earn the G.I. Bill.

“Let’s be clear – there is no way to ‘cancel’ student debt. This will cost every taxpayer an average of $2100. Someone will pay the price for this policy and the price is likely to be felt by every American in the form of even higher inflation. This administration is exceeding its legal authority and illegally burdening hard-working Americans with debts they didn’t take on themselves.”

That’s complete poppycock, especially the part about it leading to higher inflation. There is no proof that even remotely suggests the president’s move will lead to higher inflation. And as for $2,100 every taxpayer will pay, why isn’t Cruz complaining about the billions in Paycheck Protection Program loans that have been written off? Because he’s a hypocrite who made sure billionaires that own fracking companies received $35 million in COVID relief funds from the taxpayers. Those billionaires also happen to be major donors to the Texas senator. How’s that for quid pro quo?

And now Ted is trying to troll Jean-Pierre, posting this on Twitter today:

Santa Clause? Hell, most 5-year-old kids know how to spell Santa Claus correctly. Is this the sort of education Ted got at Harvard Law School? If so, they should rescind his degree and demand he retake all of his courses.

Ted Cruz is a monumental asshole. He’s also a jackass who needs to go back to grammar school. Oh, and while he’s at it, it also appears he needs to delete his Twitter account before it leads to another self-own.

Social Media Erupts In Laughter After Trump Declares ‘I’m As Innocent As A Person Can Be’

Disgraced former president Donald Trump is scared sh*tless, and the proof is in postings he made Thursday on his Truth Social site, asserting that he’s “as innocent as a person can be.”

Four postings in particular show just how rattled Trump is these days, but the first one he fired off has drawn the most attention and online mockery:

Innocent? That’s a laugh!

The next three postings were also laughable:

Those four “truths” as they’re called on Trump’s site were quickly shot to pieces on Twitter.

It’s starting to sound like Dotard Don knows he’s screwed. His fear is palpable and his protestations are (like him) absurd.

‘Methodical’ Prosecutor Preparing Airtight Case Against Matt Gaetz – Indictments Expected After Midterms

Despite the legal cloud hanging over him, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) won his primary on Tuesday and will be on the ballot in November. He is also expected to win re-election.

But that victory will likely be pyrrhic, as a new report from The Daily Beast reveals the main federal prosecutor working on the sex trafficking case against Gaetz is being incredibly “methodical” and is expected to unseal any indictments against the congressman after the midterm elections.

Lyle Mazin, a criminal defense attorney who represents a witness in the case, told The Daily Beast that the quiet should not be misconstrued as reluctance on the part of Roger Handberg, a federal prosecutor who led the local team conducting the investigation and now leads the Florida Middle District U.S. Attorney’s Office.

“He’s methodical. He doesn’t let anything go,” Mazin said. “If you’re going after a monster, you have to get it right—especially when you have a bunch of Trump supporters who’ll come after you.”

Indictments and plea deals have already been reached with key figures in the sex trafficking probe, and the person who can do the most damage to Gaetz — former Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg, who is known as Gaetz’s “wingman” — continues to provide a road map that investigators are following as they get closer to charging the congressman.

Any charges, however, won’t be filed before the election on November 8:

That day, if it comes, is likely still months off. Two attorneys said prosecutors will take extreme steps to avoid the appearance of interfering with the midterms, and expected any announcements involving Gaetz would likely come several weeks after the November election.

The slow nature of the investigation has frustrated some who are cooperating with prosecutors, though they say they remain optimistic the delay will result in making sure Gaetz pays the price for his alleged crimes:

“We know for a fact that there are dozens of other actors who were involved in drug-fueled sex parties with underage girls and other criminal financial schemes. If at the end of the day only two or three people are held to account by the feds, that would be a real miscarriage of justice and transparency,” said David Bear, an Orlando attorney who has advised several people who would consider themselves victims of Greenberg’s abuse of power while in office.

After he was victorious on Tuesday, Gaetz told family and friends he expected to win in November and return to the House where he would be part of a group of “Republicans with a will to fight and a backbone.”

But even if he is re-elected, Gaetz is facing a “fight” that will take a hell of a lot more than backbone and fiery rhetoric to win.

Trump Whines About Classified Documents: ‘I Don’t Understand Why I Can’t Have These Things’

It probably won’t surprise you to know that rather than understanding the very serious nature of the trouble he’s in for taking hundreds of classified documents, he’s whining that he wants them back.

Matter of fact, Donald is now insisting that the FBI return at least two dozen boxes of materials they seized from his Mar-a-Lago resort. Those boxes, according to The Wall Street Journal, contained at least 11 sets of classified information.

“He has said, ‘People put this stuff in their library. How can they put it in their library if it has to go back to the Archives? I don’t understand why I can’t have these things,’ ” the source said.

Of course, what Trump actually fails to understand is that what he’s done was in direct violation of the law, and considering his expressed admiration for some of the most disgusting dictators in the world (Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-un) and the fact that his business is in deep financial trouble, it’s only natural that the Justice Department might suspect the ex-president is selling U.S. secrets to the highest bidder, including our adversaries.

Even before he left office, there was a general consensus that Trump should not continued to receive intelligence briefings, which is customary when a president is no longer in office:

When David Priess was a CIA officer, he traveled to Houston, he recalls, to brief former President George H.W. Bush on classified developments in the Middle East.

It was part of a long tradition of former presidents being consulted about, and granted access to, some of the nation’s secrets.

Priess and other former intelligence officials say Joe Biden would be wise not to let that tradition continue in the case of Donald Trump.

They argue soon-to-be-former President Trump already poses a danger because of the secrets he currently possesses, and they say it would be foolish to trust him with more sensitive information. With Trump’s real estate empire under financial pressure and his brand suffering, they worry he will see American secrets as a profit center.

A profit center. Selling out the country for money. Does anyone actually think he isn’t capable of such treachery?
