Murdoch-Owned Newspapers Destroy Trump With Scathing Op-Eds – Accuse Him Of ‘Incitement By Silence’

Both of the American newspapers owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation — The Wall Street Journal and New York Post — made it very clear in scathing op-eds that failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump has completely lost the support of the conservative media mogul and that Murdoch is ready for the Donald to disappear from the political scene as a result of his actions (and inaction) on January 6, 2021.

The Wall Street Journal used this headline for their editorial,  “The President Who Stood Still on Jan. 6,” writing:

“No matter your views of the Jan. 6 special committee, the facts it is laying out in hearings are sobering. The most horrifying to date came Thursday in a hearing on President Trump’s conduct as the riot raged and he sat watching TV, posting inflammatory tweets and refusing to send help.”

The Journal’s editorial board continued:

“The committee’s critics are right that it lacks political balance. Still, the brute facts remain: Mr. Trump took an oath to defend the Constitution, and he had a duty as Commander in Chief to protect the Capitol from a mob attacking it in his name. He refused. He didn’t call the military to send help. He didn’t call Mr. Pence to check on the safety of his loyal VP. Instead he fed the mob’s anger and let the riot play out.

“Character is revealed in a crisis, and Mr. Pence passed his Jan. 6 trial. Mr. Trump utterly failed his.”

The Post was equally critical of Trump:

“There has been much debate over whether Trump’s rally speech on Jan. 6, 2021, constituted ‘incitement.’ That’s somewhat of a red herring. What matters more — and has become crystal clear in recent days — is that Trump didn’t lift a finger to stop the violence that followed. And he was the only person who could stop what was happening. He was the only one the crowd was listening to. It was incitement by silence.”

Post editors wrote Trump’s political obituary by concluding:

“There is no other explanation, just as there is no defense, for his refusal to stop the violence. It’s up to the Justice Department to decide if this is a crime. But as a matter of principle, as a matter of character, Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.”

The only reason Trump has any plans to run again is so he can forestall being prosecuted for his endless list of crimes. But it’s a long way to 2024, and we’ll know well before then whether or not he’s facing indictment and trial.

But for what it’s worth, Rupert Murdoch has clearly washed his hands of the Donald.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Is Now Claiming She’s The Victim Of A ‘Hate Crime’

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the most bigoted, disgusting, and hateful people in the entire Congress, and yet she’s now asking us to feel sorry for her because someone keeps meddling with an anti-LGBTQ sign she has posted outside her House office.

And now Greene is claiming to be the victim of a hate crime, according to a report from LGBTQ Nation:

Greene is angry about the vandalism of posters she hangs on the wall outside her office. One of the posters – her infamous “There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE. ‘Trust The Science!’” poster that she put up last year to cancel out a nearby transgender pride flag – keeps getting vandalized, so she put up another poster accusing Rep. Jake Auchincloss’s (D-MA) chief of staff Tim Hysom of being the vandal.

Now that poster has been vandalized, enraging Greene further.

In a video she posted on Twitter, Greene ranted and raved, sounding at times like someone in need of an extended stay at a mental health facility:

“You wanna know what happened? Another sign got taken off the wall.”

According to Greene, the second sign she posted was of an arrest warrant Capitol police had issued against Hysom for vandalizing her sign:

“They can’t take the fact that there’s only two genders, male and female. They’ve been attacking this sign. Tim Hysom, chief of staff for Jake Auchincloss.”

But Greene was only getting warmed up, and she continued with her unhinged rant:

“I’m sure Jake doesn’t get awards like this for actually having a great voting record,” she said, showing off an award she happened to be carrying. It’s not clear what organization gave her the award for voting in line with their ideology.

They attack this because they hate my faith, they hate my religion, and they hate the fact that I’m a woman! The Department of Justice is not going to prosecute them.”

A short while later, Greene posted yet another video, claiming she had found the sign that she accused Hysom of stealing from her:

“Lawlessness in Congress, everyone. Department of Justice is completely terrible, they don’t prosecute crime.”

Keep in mind that while she’s busy accusing others of crimes, Greene tried to get a last-minute pardon from failed, one-term former president Donald Trump for her role in the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and may still be charged for her part in that attempted coup.

Karma is starting to catch up with Marjorie Taylor Greene, and she doesn’t like it one little bit.

WATCH: Conservative CNN Panelist Gets Shut Down For Saying ‘Both Sides’ Responsible For January 6th

A Republican consultant who worked for the George W. Bush campaign got his head handed to him Friday during a panel discussion on the January 6 hearings and who is ultimately blame for what took place on that fateful day.

Scott Jennings, who has also served as an adviser to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) agreed that failed, one-term former president Donald Trump should not be allowed to run for office again, but then suggested Democrats also had culpability in the Capitol riots:

“I don’t think people who have lost all faith in institutions fully exist on the right. it is clearly also existing on the left, and I know right now, I mean, for as much as Donald Trump’s people want to smash Congress and do what they want to do on January 6th, there are people right now who would, I’m sure would love to do that to the United States Supreme Court and urging Joe Biden to bypass the Supreme Court and bypass Congress and essentially rule by executive –“

Former Deputy Assistant Attorney General Eliott Williams cut Jennings off to interject:

“I don’t think it is a fair argument to sort of both sides insurrection.”

Jennings attempted to recover:

“You think it is not a fair argument to point out that someone tried to go kill Brett Kavanaugh or threatened to burn down the Supreme Court? These people have the same –“

But Juliette Kayyem, who worked in the Department of Homeland Security, was having none of Jennings or his bullshit:

“That wasn’t led by Biden, that wasn’t led by Biden. Come on!”

Jennings:

“I’m not — I’m not saying it was led by Biden. They coddled it.”

Once more, Kayyem was quick to slam Jennings:

“Whatever you believe, Scott, about what the Democrats are doing, just give us a break here on this one, that Trump actually directed the violence — you don’t think he directed the violence?”

Jennings was then forced to admit that Trump was the instigator of the horror on Jan. 6:

“Yes, of course, I do. I said it many times, but I’m telling you David’s [Axelrod] is correct, there is a whole group of Americans who have given up on our process and institutions and they don’t fully exist on the right, which I think you think they do, but I don’t believe they do. “

But people on the left didn’t storm the Capitol or try to overturn an election. That was the Trump acolytes, led by their orange lord and savior. And that fact will never change.

House GOP Tweets And Then Deletes Attack On Jan. 6 Witness Sarah Matthews After Recalling They Recently Hired Her

As former Trump administration staffer Sarah Matthews was still testifying before the House January 6 committee on Thursday evening, the official House Republican Twitter account fired off a nasty attack against her, even though she works for them.

According to HuffPost:

“Just another liar and pawn in Pelosi’s witch-hunt,” the House Republican account tweeted, referring to Sarah Matthews, an aide who was working in the White House during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot.

She is currently the Republican communications director for the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.

Oops! Nothing quite like slamming one of your own.

It should be noted that during her testimony Thursday, Matthews corroborated what former top aide Cassidy Hutchinson had told the Jan. 6 committee when she appeared last month.

A spokesperson for the House GOP told Politico that the tweet was deleted because, “The tweet was sent out at the staff level and was not authorized or the position of the conference and therefore was deleted.”

The real reason, however, was probably the chiding the GOP received online, including this one from another former member of the Trump administration:

Memo to House GOP: You need to delete your Twitter account and quit lying about how none of you are watching the hearings.

WATCH Pete Buttigieg Destroy A GOPer Who Mentions Using The 25th Amendment On Biden

Congressional Republicans are getting desperate as they see their once massive lead over Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections dissipate, with some polls showing the GOP now trailing, so they’re trying to trash President Joe Biden in an attempt to divert attention from their own incompetence and the disturbing revelations coming from the House Select Committee investigating January 6, 2021.

That desperation was on full display today during a hearing of the House Transportation Committee and it came in the person of Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX), who didn’t ask a single question about transportation or infrastructure, and instead asked Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg about the cabinet using the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office.

Nehls began his idiotic soliloquy with this:

“Sadly, he shakes hands with ghosts and imaginary people. He falls off bicycles. Even at the White House Easter celebration, the Easter Bunny had to guide him back into his safe place. This is, if he stays awake.

“So my question for you is, sir, have you spoken with any other cabinet members about implementing the 25th Amendment on President Biden?”

That’s when Buttigieg took out a can of whoop-ass and opened it up on the Texas Republican, expertly destroying him:

“First of all, I’m glad to have a president who can ride a bicycle.

“And I will look beyond the insulting nature of that question and make clear to you that the president of the United States…”

Knowing he was losing the debate, Nehls could only interrupt Buttigieg and repeat his question:

“Have you spoken to any cabinet members about implementing the 25th Amendment on President Biden?”

Buttigieg told Nehls:

“Of course not.

The president of the United States is as vigorous a colleague or boss as I “have ever had the pleasure of working with.”

Nehls is doing a piss poor job of trying to obfuscate and make everyone forget the insane things failed, one-term former president Donald Trump did that almost led to his cabinet using the 25th to boot him from office, as Yahoo News reported last month:

“Former President Donald Trump’s staff warned him that his actions on Jan. 6, 2021, could amount to criminal behavior. They unsuccessfully pleaded with him to call off rioters ransacking the Capitol who were threatening former Vice President Mike Pence. And after the riot had been put down and one of the most chaotic days in U.S. history was over, a former aide testified Tuesday, they told him his cabinet members were discussing invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.

“Cassidy Hutchinson, a former top aide to Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows and a veritable fly on the wall throughout the events and meetings that led to the insurrection at the Capitol, testified at length Tuesday that Trump was often irate and lashed out at staff as he attempted to hold on to power after he lost the 2020 election. His behavior, she said, had led Cabinet members to consider a remedy allowed by the U.S. Constitution.”

Twitter loved Buttigieg’s verbal evisceration of the Texas congressman:
