‘Grotesque’ Marco Rubio Slammed After He Compares Trump’s Conviction To ‘Castro’s Cuba’

Just hours after failed former president Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts by a jury in Manhattan, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made an absurd comparison between Trump’s conviction and “Castro’s Cuba.”

Rubio’s over-the-top statement got him pilloried on MSNBC this morning, with “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough trashing the Florida Republican.

“Speaking of grotesque, if a guy whose family escaped Castro’s Cuba, communist Cuba, a country that Castro ran with an iron fist, there was no rule of law there. There was just repression. There was tyranny.”

“Marco, like these other people, all because they want to cozy up to Donald Trump and maybe be his vice president, they degrade themselves, and they slander America,” Scarborough continued. “Rubio said in the E. Jean Carroll case, a jury of his peers was a joke because he didn’t like the outcome. now, he is comparing America to Castro’s Cuba, which I will say, yes, it’s meant to kiss up to Donald Trump and shock everybody else. Doesn’t shock me.”

“It hurts me as a patriot to hear people hating on America, but I do know at the end of the day, it’s only going to end up hurting Marco Rubio, Donald Trump, and the Republican party even more, because people don’t buy their propaganda,” he concluded.

MSNBC contributor Katty Kay concurred with Scarborough.

“Yeah. I mean, Marco Rubio of all people knows that this is absurd. The American justice system is not remotely like Cuba’s justice system where there is no system of justice. He knows that, and he is only doing this to suck up to Donald Trump.”

Donald Trump broke the law and is being held accountable for his actions. That’s nothing like Castro’s Cuba or any other repressive regime Trump and his supporters may reference.

A jury of 12 New Yorkers found Donald Trump guilty and proved that no one is above the law in the United States. That’s what makes this country the envy of the world.

Trump Brutally Mocked Online After His Sticky Note Message Is Revealed By Photographer

Prior to closing arguments Tuesday in former president Donald Trump’s Manhattan hush money and election fraud trial, a photographer managed to capture an image of Donald with his hands partially obscuring two sticky notes on a piece of paper he had on the table where he was sitting.

Though Trump attempted to hide the messages with his hands, it was easy to determine what he’d written, HuffPost reports.

On one was written in thick black marker pen, in what appeared to be the former president’s handwriting: “This case should be dismissed by the judge but it’s totally corrupt.”

The photograph began circulating on Reddit, where it drew a ton of mockery aimed right at Trump, with many wondering why he had to write down what he was going to say during a break in the trial.

Here are some of the comments:

“No, this is neither some AI fakery nor is it photoshopped. This is pure Trump intelligence at work.”

“He had to write that down to remember to say it, after only repeating it 10 million times.”

“How is it possible that out of 340 million Americans, this dude is in contention to be the President…AGAIN?!”

“LOL at needing a handwritten note that says the ‘case should be dismissed by the judge'”.

Jury deliberations will begin today and it remains unclear how long reaching a verdict could take.

Robert DeNiro Verbally Swats Down A Trump Supporter Outside New York Court In Must-See Video

Academy Award-winning actor Robert DeNiro held a press conference outside the Manhattan courthouse where former president Donald Trump is on trial for allegedly committing election fraud this morning as closing arguments were taking place inside, and he brilliantly handled a pro-Trump heckler who tried to interrupt his statement.

Accompanied by former Capitol Police officers Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone, who battled rioters on Jan. 6, 2021, DeNiro remarked, “On January 6th, while Republican lawmakers despicably tried to keep the loser Trump, the loser Trump, in the White House, and Trump-inspired insurrectionists stormed the Capitol, brave men and women from law enforcement put their lives on the line to defend this country. These guys are the true heroes. They stood and put their lives on the line for these low lives, for Trump.”

“They lied under oath,” a Trump supporter insisted.

“Who lied under oath?” DeNiro asked. “What are you telling me?”

“Those two traitors behind you,” the Trump supporter said.

“You got to, I don’t know, I don’t even know how to deal with you, my friend,” DeNiro replied. “I don’t even know how to deal with you. They stood there. They didn’t have to.”

“They stood there and fought for us, for you. For you.”

The Trump supporter told DeNiro, “They weren’t fighting for me.”

“No, they fought for you, buddy,” DeNiro fired back. “You’re able to stand right here now. They are the true heroes.”

Trump Hands Prosecutors A Gift With Social Media Post As Closing Arguments Begin

A post made by former president Donald Trump on his Truth Social provides a window into how afraid he is that he’ll be found guilty by a jury of his peers later today after closing arguments are made, according to a former assistant district attorney. And the post may also wind up being a huge gift for prosecutors in Manhattan.

Catherine Christian was a guest on MSNBC, and she was asked by host Katie Tur, “I want to show something he posted on Truth Social. I wonder if this gives a hint about jury instructions and what they might be. I know we haven’t gotten an announcement from Judge Merchan, but I wonder if he has said something to the prosecution or defense, and I’m asking because Donald Trump said this, ‘The reason the highly conflicted Judge Merchan had to come up with three fake options for the jury to choose from without requiring them to be unanimous, which is completely un-American and unconstitutional, is the corrupt Soros’ … so he’s talking about three options for the jury to choose from without requiring them to be unanimous. Is he talking about federal election crime, state election crime, tax crime as the underlying felony charge, and do you have a sense that they know what the jury instructions are going to be?”

“I would hope that the defense and the prosecution know what the jury instructions are going to be since they’re giving their summations tomorrow,” Christian replied. “I understand why the press and why we would all want it, [but also] why the judge didn’t release it. He wants to make sure the first time the jury hears about this, and the jury is abiding by judge’s rules, and not watching this right now, is the first time they hear about this is tomorrow, so that post by Donald Trump is sort of a hint, if you can believe Donald Trump, that maybe the instruction to the jury will be that the unlawful means, conspire to promote an election by unlawful means, could be the federal election law violation, could be tax crimes, state tax crime violation, so I have a feeling that that’s probably what Donald Trump is talking about because his lawyers have a copy of the jury instructions the judge will give tomorrow.”

Christian added, “If the jury believes all of the evidence, it’s a gift to them.”

Closing arguments will begin this morning when the court convenes at 9:30 a.m. ET.

NY Court System Hands Major Advantage To Trump Prosecutors Before Jury Begins Deliberations On Tuesday

When a jury reconvenes next Tuesday in Manhattan in the criminal case against former president Donald Trump, they’ll hear closing arguments from prosecutors and Trump’s attorneys, be given instructions for the deliberations by Judge Juan Merchan, and then begin their deliberations to determine whether or not Trump should be a convicted felon.

And it’s those closing arguments that could wind up being the difference in the case, which means that prosecutors have a decided advantage thanks to the way New York courts work, where the prosecution gets the last word, according to conservative attorney George Conway.

Conway told MSNBC host Katie Phang, “It’s the story of the documents. The way it works in New York state courts, which is unlike in some other courts like federal court, is that the defense gets to sum first and then the prosecution gets to sum next — it’s not prosecution, defense, prosecution rebuttal like it would be in a lot of other courts.”

“So the prosecution can really figure out how to basically wrap it all up and get the last word,” he added. “And that is an advantage to the prosecution.”

The last side to speak in any trial has a decided advantage because the jury will have those words fresh in their minds as they begin to determine if Trump is guilty or not guilty. And considering the evidence indicates that the ex-president did indeed commit multiple felonies, it should be a slam-dunk case. Time will tell.
