Trump’s ‘Cash Crunch’ May Force Him To Make A Humiliating Choice

As he gets closer to seeing a New York judge impose a fine that could be as large as $370 million, failed former president Donald Trump is also on the verge of having a make a choice that would be the ultimate humiliation for him.

That’s what New York Times investigative reporter Susanne Craig says she believes she has Trump so worried: He’s going to be forced to sell off his properties in order to pay the penalty for decades of lying on financial disclosure forms.

Appearing on MSNBC, Craig noted:

“The argument has been that he submitted these statements of financial condition in order to get better rates at the banks. And they went through some of the spending that Donald Trump has been doing recently. There have been a lot of renovations at three properties. He put $250 million into Doral and the old post office; he spent $225 million on renovations.”

In other words, Trump and the Trump Organization are facing a major cash crunch, Craig continued.

“Then secondly, I was listening to it because he is facing coming into a judgment with this judge of penalties going up to $370 million. We’re looking at the hundreds of millions of dollars range. The attorney general painted the picture that the cash position is not good. It also supports the analysis that we have done at The New York Times that he doesn’t have a lot of cash on hand to meet a penalty of that size.”

Trump’s only option will be to sell his properties in order to cover the massive court judgement, which led former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann to explain that the process could take place sooner rather than later, even if the ex-president decides to file an appeal.

“Very often the courts of appeals will require a cash bond. And so that issue of can he wait until the appeal is over to start paying this, that may not be an option.”

WATCH Stephen Miller Whine: ‘They’re Trying To Imprison, Bankrupt, And Destroy Donald Trump!’

Former Trump administration official Stephen Miller went on an extended whinefest during a Fox News appearance, angrily telling host Maria Bartiromo that he was furious the Donald’s legal problems have finally caught up with him.

Bartiromo was asking about the likely 2024 presidential nominees for the two parties, inquiring, “And Stephen, the rumor is, is that the Democrats are going to pull Michelle Obama out of the hat during their Democrat convention this summer.”

Miller replied, “Well, look, I have no idea what the Democrats are going to do when they are incapacitated by a frail, aging, severely cognitively eroded Joe Biden. But what we do know is that we are witnessing election interference now in real time on two fronts.”

His voice an angry and shrill whine, Miller then added:

“They’re trying to imprison, bankrupt, and destroy Donald Trump using the awesome power of the state, like something out of a failed third-world country, and they’re leaving our border wide open to import a new generation of voters that they believe will be more favorable to big government and top-down control! That’s their plan. And so I will tell you what is happening on the border every single day is one of the greatest crimes in human history!”

“And Joe Biden and the entire Biden administration are guilty of leading an insurrection on the southern border against the laws, constitution, and sovereignty of the United States of America. And it’s happening every day.”

Bartiromo assured Miller, “We are tracking it every day.”

It’s so much fun watching those who support Donald Trump melt down now that he’s finally being held accountable for his wrongdoing. They claim to be the party of “law and order,” but they don’t think the law should apply to their tangerine-tinted emperor.

Trump Attorney Appears To Threaten Supreme Court Justices On Appeal Of 2024 Ballot Case

Alina Habba is an attorney for failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump, and remarks she made Thursday during an appearance on Fox have many suggesting that she was trying to threaten Supreme Court justices who will eventually have to decide whether or not the ex-president can be kept off primary ballots in states this year.

Speaking with Fox host Sean Hannity, according to HuffPost, Habba said, “I think it should be a slam dunk in the Supreme Court. I have faith in them.”

She added:

“You know people like (Supreme Court Justice Brett) Kavanaugh ― who the president fought for, who the president went through hell to get into place ― he’ll step up. Those people will step up. Not because they’re pro-Trump but because they’re pro-law. Because they’re pro-fairness, and the law on this is very clear.”

Habba’s comments raised eyebrows on Twitter/X, with some noting that she was either suggesting a quid pro quo or using threats to get her way with the high court.

Trump’s Latest Legal Argument Could Disqualify Him From Serving Even If He’s Reelected

A legal filing made this week by attorneys representing failed one-term, twice-impeached, and multiply-indicted ex-president Donald Trump to keep him on the 2024 ballot in Colorado contains odd language that could allow him to run for the presidency but automatically disqualify him from serving even if he wins, according to former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade.

During an appearance on MSNBC this morning, McQuade was asked by host Mika Brzezinski:

“What are your thoughts on whether the Supreme Court actually takes it, the timing of it, and also how the Trump team created their petition, what they led with versus what Donald Trump is accused of, therefore making him ineligible to be on the ballot?”

“Yes, I think the court will have to take up the case. Whether it decides it on the merits, I think, is another question,” McQuade responded. “I do agree with one of the things he wrote in his brief, which is, this is a matter of significant importance that must be decided urgently. I think that as we see all of these other primaries starting to play out across the country, starting this month, I think it is very important that this issue be resolved.”

She added: “The lead argument that he makes here is one I haven’t heard before. You know, he’s got all the greatest hits in there: the 14th Amendment doesn’t apply to the U.S. president, this wasn’t an insurrection. Even if it was, he didn’t engage in it, all the things we might expect.”

“One he led with that is interesting to me is that the 14th Amendment only bars someone from holding office, not running for office,” McQuade noted. “Therefore, he should be permitted to run, be elected, and only on January 20th of 2025, should it be said, ‘Sorry, folks, he can’t serve.'”

After laughing, McQuade continued, “You know, that sounds like a textualist argument, and maybe the court bites on it, but imagine the absurdity? He can’t serve, so his vice president is the president of the United States. Maybe that’s how we’ll see the court play out.”

“I do think the court is likely to take an off-ramp. A more likely off-ramp, I think, is one that says this is not a justiciable argument, that is, this is a matter for Congress, not the courts to decide. So that might be one that they bite on.”

Social Media Explodes With Laughter After Fox Panelist Says Trump Can Be ‘President From Jail’

A panelist on Fox News wants American voters to know they should indeed cast their ballot for failed former president Donald Trump in November even though he’s been indicted on 91 felony counts and is facing decades behind bars if convicted.

According to HuffPost, that comment came Monday during a discussion of the disgraced ex-president’s legal troubles and the upcoming election.

“Outnumbered” co-host Kennedy mentioned that she wondered what would happen to Trump’s chances of winning if he’s “indicted at some point.” Of course, he’s already been indicted, so it’s unclear what in the hell Kennedy even knows about current events.

That’s when medical contributor Dr. Janette Nesheiwat chimed in.

“He can be president from jail if he has to,” she said.

That set off a firestorm of criticism and mockery on Twitter/X.
