Bannon Gets Gets His Head Handed To Him In Angry Interview On The Eve Of His Imprisonment

Former Trump political strategist Steve Bannon got his head handed to him by ABC News host Jonathan Karl this morning during an interview on the verge of Bannon’s imprisonment for contempt of Congress.

The interview aired on This Week, and it began when Bannon said he wasn’t the least bit sorry Dr. Anthony Fauci had received death threats after he demanded that Fauci’s head be put “on a pike.”

“I’m not backing off my rhetoric,” Bannon told Karl.

“Are you concerned about those death threats, though?” Karl asked.

“Do you think I don’t get death threats and have security all the time?” Bannon replied. “That comes when you play at the highest levels.”

Karl then asked, “Will you appeal right now, message to all of Trump’s supporters, to respect the results? If you’re going to lose… there will be no violence?”

“Have you asked a Democrat this question, yes or no?” Bannon retorted.

Karl: “I haven’t seen Democrats storm the Capitol to try to stop an election! And by the way, I have no problem asking Democrats if they’re going to respect the election.”

“Here’s the bottom line,” Bannon insisted. “When this is adjudicated and reviewed, if they are certifiable, chain of custody, vote ballots and votes from American citizens, then hey, whatever that outcome is, is totally fair.”

“Until the time that we get that, all bets are off.”

Translation: If Trump loses again, you can expect violence from Trump acolytes, and Bannon will be egging them on, just the way he did in the days before the January 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection. If and when that happens, Bannon belongs behind bars for the rest of his life.

Forgotten Lawsuit Is About To Bring ‘Ghosts’ From Trump’s Past Back To Haunt Him

A 2020 lawsuit accusing failed former president Donald Trump of illegally clearing racial injustice protesters at Lafayette Square Park with tear gas is back on the docket. It could result in “ghosts” from the disgraced ex-president’s past coming back to haunt him as he seeks a second term in office, according to a report from Law & Crime.

The lawsuit, Buchanan v. Trump, would impose damages on Trump and members of his administration such as former Attorney General Bill Barr, who had been ruled immune from prosecution because they were acting in their official capacity.

Now, however, an amended complaint has been approved by a judge.

“And that is exactly what’s unfolded quietly in the background of Trump’s many other pressing legal dramas in recent weeks and months. Though the merits of the plaintiff’s amended claims have yet to be decided, a judge has granted the parties the right to serve Trump.”

The suit is expected to be filed by mid-April, according to attorneys for the plaintiffs.

“We anticipate filing our claims against Mr. Trump by April 12, as the Court directed in granting our motion to amend in part. Our clients look forward to seeing Mr. Trump in Court and holding him accountable for his and others’ attacks on the rights of peaceful protesters in Lafayette Square,” Lee Crain, a partner at Gibson Dunn, said.

With the United States Supreme Court scheduled to rule if Trump has immunity from any actions he took while serving as head of state, the Buchanan lawsuit could result in more skeletons exiting the proverbial closet, exposing him as a would-be dictator who cannot stand criticism. It could also convince undecided voters that a vote for Trump would result in him imposing a totalitarian state that would prohibit all dissent.

“Based on the original claims, the new lawsuit is expected to reflect similarly and pursue him in his personal capacity for the distress he caused. Whether he stays on as a named defendant, with his personal presence over Lafayette Square looming so large that June, it is likely he would be asked to testify in proceedings regardless.”

So even if Trump is ruled immune as a defendant, he would likely be forced to testify during a presidential campaign that already shows him falling behind in fundraising and the polls. His actions on that day in Lafayette Square could wind up costing him the election. That would be both fitting and ironic for the wannabe dictator.

Former Trump Aide: Donald Was ‘Unwell’ As POTUS And Is Getting Worse

Miles Taylor served as chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security in the Trump administration, and he says the thought of disgraced former president Donald Trump returning to the White House terrifies him.

Speaking with MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, Taylor noted, “The man that I interacted with years ago was very visibly unwell, was observably unstable, and he was the president of the United States then. I can only imagine what’s happened to him since.”

For example, Taylor explained, the potential appointees in a second Trump administration can be divided into four “scary” groups: The loyalists, the assassins, the replacements, and the shadow government.

Loyalists, Taylor continued, would be that Trump appoints to Cabinet positions, even if the Senate doesn’t confirm them.

“They’re going to put them in anyway. People who will execute his orders no matter how bad.”

The “assassins” are people who will comprise the core of political appointees who will be placed in civil service positions to do the day-to-day work of agencies such as the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency.

“These are people who project tornado paths and try to protect the United States from terrorists,” Taylor told Wallace. “Political appointees being in those roles is very scary for me, it’s something they didn’t do in the first term, they’re keen on doing in the second.”

That leaves the “shadow government” to make the biggest decisions, even though they hold no official government positions.

“We saw this in the first term where departments like the Department of Veterans Affairs people said there were the three amigos in Mar-a-Lago that would make phone calls and tell them what to do.”

“I worry in a second term, he’ll have all of these outsiders that aren’t fit to take government jobs, pulling the strings.”

But perhaps most terrifying of all, Taylor warned, is Trump’s continuing mental collapse since he lost in 2020 to President Joe Biden.

“We’ve witnessed it, we all see it as an American public. But I can’t imagine how unstable he’ll be behind that resolute desk again.”

A second Trump administration would be the end of the American republic. That’s why it’s so important that we all register to vote and cast a ballot against him in November.

New Survey Ranks Donald Trump As The Worst President In History

While many of us have long believed that Donald Trump will go down in history as the worst president the United States has ever elected, a just released survey from the Presidential Greatness Project suggests that the 45th president is indeed the bottom of the barrel when it comes to American leaders.

Newsweek reports the purpose of the survey was to “create a ranking of presidential greatness that covered all presidents from George Washington to Joe Biden.”

Respondents were asked to rate each U.S. president on a scale of zero to 100 for their “overall greatness,” with zero being failure, 50 being average and 100 being great. The ratings were averaged for each president and then ranked from highest average to lowest.

Lincoln placed first with a 95.03 average, followed by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in at No. 2 with 90.83, George Washington at No. 3 with 90.32, Teddy Roosevelt at No. 4 with 78.58 and Thomas Jefferson at No. 5 with 77.53, the survey results show.

The latest results come from 54 responses from scholars “whose work engages presidential politics” and who are members of the American Political Science Association. The survey was conducted online in November and December of 2023.

Just how badly did Trump do when compared to other U.S. heads of state? So much so that he rated lower than James Buchanan, who consistently ranks near the bottom of similar polls.

Trump received the lowest rating with a 10.92 average, behind James Buchanan at No. 44 with 16.71, Andrew Johnson at No. 43 with 21.56, Franklin Pierce at No. 42 with 24.6, William Henry Harrison at No. 41 with 26.01 and Warren Harding at No. 40 with 27.76, according to the Presidential Greatness Project.

President Joe Biden was ranked in the top third of the list, placing at No.14 with a rating of 62.7.

The new survey also ranks Trump as the “most polarizing” president in the 247 year history of the United States.

In 2019, as he was about to be impeached, Trump proudly declared himself to be the “greatest of all presidents.”

“‘Not only have the Democrats not advanced key pieces of legislation that would help the economy, but the polls, especially in early states, are showing that voters are tuning out.’ @PeteHegseth They don’t want our greatest of all presidents impeached!”

Greatest of all presidents? Not even close.

Top Secret Intel File On Russia Missing – Last Seen Before Trump Left Office

A file containing classified information about Russia and Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election disappeared in the last days of the Trump administration and has yet to be found, according to a terrifying report from CNN.

The binder contained raw intelligence the US and its NATO allies collected on Russians and Russian agents, including sources and methods that informed the US government’s assessment that Russian President Vladimir Putin sought to help Trump win the 2016 election, sources tell CNN.

The intelligence was so sensitive that lawmakers and congressional aides with top secret security clearances were able to review the material only at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, where their work scrutinizing it was itself kept in a locked safe.

The file was last seen at the White House when Trump sought to declassify it for public release. The disgraced former president has long been obsessed with news reports suggesting that the Kremlin actively worked to get him elected instead of then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Additionally, the Russia binder wasn’t among the classified documents found when the FBI searched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in August of last year, raising new questions about what might have become of the dossier.

New information suggests that the file was taken by former chief of staff Mark Meadows, CNN notes.

Cassidy Hutchinson, one of Meadows’ top aides, testified to Congress and wrote in her memoir that she believes Meadows took home an unredacted version of the binder. She said it had been kept in Meadows’ safe and that she saw him leave with it from the White House.

“I am almost positive it went home with Mr. Meadows,” Hutchinson told the January 6 committee in closed-door testimony, according to transcripts released last year.

George Terwilliger, an attorney for Meadows, denied his client is in possession of the file, remarking, “Anyone and any entity suggesting that he is responsible for anything missing does not have facts and should exercise great care before making false allegations.”

If the information is now in the hands of the Kremlin, has U.S. national security been compromised? And if so, what long-term ramifications could that pose for the overall security of the United States?

Perhaps members of the Trump administration, including the ex-president, need to be brought before a Senate committee and forced to testify under oath. After all, if they have nothing to hide, they should be eager to cooperate.
