Christian Minister Slams ‘Unholy Force’ Marjorie Taylor Greene For Her ‘Bastardization’ Of Religion

As she continues to try and cloak her calls for “nationalism” in terms of Christianity, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is drawing disgust and disdain from actual Christians, who say her actions don’t match her rhetoric.

Over the weekend at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Greene defended her call for “Christian nationalism,” in the United States, remarking:

“But when I said that I’m a Christian nationalist, I have nothing to be ashamed of, because that’s what most Americans are.

“We’re proud of our faith and we love our country. And that will make America great again. When we lean into biblical principles, you know, is there anything wrong with loving God and loving others? No.

“So, I don’t back down from those comments, but I denounce the lying media for what they’ve said.”

But as Episcopal Rev. Nathan Empsall notes in a column he wrote for The Daily Beast, people like Congresswoman Greene are “wolves in sheep’s clothing.”

It’s not the first time she has embraced the label. And it’s a dangerous turn of events that requires active, loud opposition from all of us, especially from American Christians, for whom Greene and her allies claim to speak. As a pastor, if there’s one thing I understand, it’s that Christian nationalism is unchristian and unpatriotic. Academic researchers define the authoritarian ideology as a political worldview—not a religion—that unconstitutionally and unbiblically merges Christian and American identities, declaring that democracy does not matter because America is a ‘Christian nation’ where only conservative Christians count as true Americans.

Empsall illustrates his case with this explanation of “Christian nationalists” and what they long to see happen in the U.S.:

“The clear goal of Christian nationalism is to seize power only for its mostly white evangelical and conservative Catholic followers, no matter who else gets hurt or how many elections have to be overturned. This is the unholy force that incited the failed coup of Jan. 6, 2021, brought us the recent spate of theocratic Supreme Court opinions, and has inspired multiple wave upon wave of dangerous misinformation about elections, climate change, and COVID-19—all in direct contrast to Jesus’ teachings of love, truth, and the common good.”

Just consider the lie that Greene preaches when she speaks in such terms, Empsall notes:

Greene would have you believe that all of her critics “hate America [and] hate God,” but this ignores the fact that most Christians are appalled at the way she hijacks the Gospel to justify attending white nationalist rallies and spreading anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. They don’t speak for American Christians. And it’s up to us to finally deflate their claims of a monopoly and thus their hold on power, reclaim our religion and its prophetic voice for the Gospel’s true values of love, dignity, equality, and social justice.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene and others like her are a cancer on this country. They need to be marginalized, and, in the case of Greene, who appears to have played a role in Jan. 6, they need to be charged, prosecuted, and sent to prison as the traitorous fake Christians they truly are.

Marjorie Greene Has A Meltdown After Rachel Maddow Exposes The Racist Roots Of ‘Christian Nationalism’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) absolutely loves saying wild, outrageous, racist, and disgusting things, but she gets livid when anyone dares to point out the wrongness of the things she’s said.

For example, Greene has recently proclaimed that she is a proud “Christian nationalist,” remarking:

“Republicans really need to recognize the people they represent, ok? Their voters, not the lobbyists donors, not the corporate PACs, not those people. That’s not who the Republican Party should represent. We need to be the party of nationalism and I’m a Christian, and, I say it proudly: We should be Christian nationalists.”

That led MSNBC host Rachel Maddow to examine the history of the Christian nationalist movement in the United States, and what she discovered is absolutely terrifying, Mediaite reports:

On Monday night, Maddow dove into the history of the term “Christian nationalist,” bringing the term back to Gerald L.K. Smith, the controversial founder of the Christian Nationalist Crusade. Maddow played audio of Greene’s call for her party to be “Christian nationalists,” and then aired various audio of Smith taking issue with Jewish organizations, mixing races, and more.

Again, this is history. It is documented fact. And yet Greene had a hissy fit/meltdown on Twitter Tuesday, suggesting that Maddow was part of the “Godless lying left” who wants to portray her as a “Nazi.”

Since she’s from the South, I’ll share a Southern expression that Marjorie Insurrectionist Greene will be familiar with: A hit dog always hollers.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Is Now Claiming She’s The Victim Of A ‘Hate Crime’

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the most bigoted, disgusting, and hateful people in the entire Congress, and yet she’s now asking us to feel sorry for her because someone keeps meddling with an anti-LGBTQ sign she has posted outside her House office.

And now Greene is claiming to be the victim of a hate crime, according to a report from LGBTQ Nation:

Greene is angry about the vandalism of posters she hangs on the wall outside her office. One of the posters – her infamous “There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE. ‘Trust The Science!’” poster that she put up last year to cancel out a nearby transgender pride flag – keeps getting vandalized, so she put up another poster accusing Rep. Jake Auchincloss’s (D-MA) chief of staff Tim Hysom of being the vandal.

Now that poster has been vandalized, enraging Greene further.

In a video she posted on Twitter, Greene ranted and raved, sounding at times like someone in need of an extended stay at a mental health facility:

“You wanna know what happened? Another sign got taken off the wall.”

According to Greene, the second sign she posted was of an arrest warrant Capitol police had issued against Hysom for vandalizing her sign:

“They can’t take the fact that there’s only two genders, male and female. They’ve been attacking this sign. Tim Hysom, chief of staff for Jake Auchincloss.”

But Greene was only getting warmed up, and she continued with her unhinged rant:

“I’m sure Jake doesn’t get awards like this for actually having a great voting record,” she said, showing off an award she happened to be carrying. It’s not clear what organization gave her the award for voting in line with their ideology.

They attack this because they hate my faith, they hate my religion, and they hate the fact that I’m a woman! The Department of Justice is not going to prosecute them.”

A short while later, Greene posted yet another video, claiming she had found the sign that she accused Hysom of stealing from her:

“Lawlessness in Congress, everyone. Department of Justice is completely terrible, they don’t prosecute crime.”

Keep in mind that while she’s busy accusing others of crimes, Greene tried to get a last-minute pardon from failed, one-term former president Donald Trump for her role in the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and may still be charged for her part in that attempted coup.

Karma is starting to catch up with Marjorie Taylor Greene, and she doesn’t like it one little bit.

Abortion Congress GOP WTF?!

Marjorie Taylor Greene: All Pregnant Women Should Be Forced To Give Birth

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is now advocating that all women in the United States who become pregnant should be forced to give birth, no matter the circumstances.

Speaking to Newsmax podcast host Rob Carson, Greene said that the very idea of women having abortion rights is “insulting” to her.

“The very idea that women’s rights don’t matter anymore, which is what [Democrats] say, and our stance for pro-life is to support women. We support their pregnancies. We support them being mothers even if it’s a circumstance that they didn’t plan.

“We also support women’s rights. The right to privacy, our right to have privacy in our bathrooms, the right to compete in our women’s sports without being threatened by biological men. And so, yes, all of this is a slap in our face “

She supports women’s rights to privacy, and yet she wants to have the government decide what a woman can do with her body when she’s pregnant. That’s one hell of a contradiction, not to mention the attendant hypocrisy in such a statement.

Any federal legislation to guarantee a woman’s right to choose, Greene declared is “evil and disgusting.”

“They want to make abortion legal up until the day of birth, and make it available for every woman that wants it across the country and they are so angry about it. They’re demanding it, they’re fighting for it.”

What’s evil and disgusting is people like Greene trying to tell others what they can and cannot do with their bodies. It’s the ultimate form of government control and tyranny.

Pretty soon, Greene and her ilk will insist that women serve no other purpose than that of breeding machines. Then again, that’s pretty much what the Supreme Court they packed with extremists has already made clear with their ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

These are dark days in the United States, and if extremists like Greene have their way, things are going to get much worse.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Says AOC Should Take Being Sexually Harassed As ‘Quite The Compliment’

Earlier this week, a right-wing troll who calls himself a “comedian” sexually harassed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

As Business Insider reported:

“I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.

“It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad,” she added.

She then included footage of the incident in a follow-up tweet. “I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

The so-called comedian is named Alex Stein, and in the video below, you can see him referring to Ocasio-Cortez as his “favorite big booty Latina” and accusing the congresswoman of “killing babies.”

But according to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) — a.k.a. the Peach State Insurrectionist Scum — Ocasio-Cortez should consider such harassment a compliment.

HuffPost notes that Greene seemed to delight in the video of AOC being treated in such a manner:

Greene called his actions “quite the compliment.” She even had Stein on her podcast.

“I think women should be confident,” Greene said. “And if a man gives you a compliment, a woman can say ‘thank you.’”

If Ocasio-Cortez had pulled a handgun out of her purse and shot Stein in both legs to teach him a lesson, would Greene be saluting her then? After all, aren’t right-wingers always teaching that guns are the solution to every problem and the Second Amendment is the only one that matters?
