Right-Wingers Want Rachel Maddow Booted From Twitter For Her Reporting On Ivermectin

Conservatives, Republicans, and right-wingers absolutely hate MSNBC host Rachel Maddow. Probably because she’s smart, strong, and counters their lies and conspiracy theories with facts and logic.

So it shouldn’t come as any surprise that many on the right are attacking Maddow for a report she did this week on the bogus COVID “cure,” ivermectin, which is sold as a deworming agent for cattle.

The report stated that a doctor in Oklahoma said rural hospitals in the state were seeing quite a few cases of ivermectin overdose. The story came from a local TV station in the Sooner State:

“A rural Oklahoma doctor said patients who are taking the horse de-wormer medication, ivermectin, to fight COVID-19 are causing emergency room and ambulance back ups.

“‘There’s a reason you have to have a doctor to get a prescription for this stuff because it can be dangerous,’ said Dr. Jason McElyea.”

That led a hospital system in Oklahoma to deny what Dr. McElyea claimed:

“Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room.

“With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months.

“NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose.”

As you’d expect, the right-wing loons came out in droves, with a few of the more notable (some would say notorious) demanding that Maddow be punished for her report:

Ah, yes: Glenn Greenwald, who was once a darling of some of the left. More recently, however, he’s turned into a hack who makes frequent appearances on Fox News and usually sounds like little more than a Kremlin shill.

J.D. Vance, of course, is the author of Hillbilly Elegy who is now running to be the next Senator from Ohio and is just to the right of Atilla the Hun. He’s a pathetic excuse of a human being who deserves to lose in record fashion.

Seb Gorka? Really?! A man whose father was allegedly associated with a pro-Nazi group and has also espoused Nazi propaganda over the years. But he’s going to go after a journalist like Maddow?

Here’s the thing: Ivermectin has NEVER been approved as a treatment or cure for COVID-19. It’s a damn horse drug!

But the right-wingers are still bent out of shape that their overweight, failed, one-term former president, Donald Trump, has been banned from Twitter and now they want blood because Maddow dared to shed some light on the dangers of a phony coronavirus treatment that can indeed put you in the hospital.

Nice try, losers, but Rachel uses facts while all you’ve got are your tinfoil hats and lies.

Congress GOP Whining Russia WTF?!

Devin Nunes Sues MSNBC Because Rachel Maddow Exposed His Ties To Russia

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) — who is fresh off losing a lawsuit he filed against CNN — is now suing the parent company of MSNBC, NBCUniversal Media, for defamation because MSNBC host Rachel Maddow dared to reveal his many connections to Russia and Russian operatives who tried to influence the 2016 presidential election.

According to Bloomberg:

“California Republican Congressman Devin Nunes sued NBCUniversal Media alleging that MSNBC’s liberal talk show host Rachel Maddow defamed him with on-air suggestions he’d conspired with a Russian agent to rig the 2016 presidential election for Donald Trump.

“Nunes, who is the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, says Maddow has repeatedly targeted him with defamatory statements that accuse him of obstruction of justice and treason. Nunes said Maddow has also called for him to lose his committee post and be stripped of his security clearances.”

What exactly did Maddow say that Nunes is claiming was defamatory? Well, she let the world know about his many ties to Russia and Russian nationals who played a part in running a smear campaign against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump, who was favored by the Kremlin.

Here’s what Maddow reported on March 8, 2021:

“Last summer, the Senate Intelligence Committee in the house learned that same guy, Derkach, had mailed a stack of unknown materials to Devin Nunes, who is the top Republican on the Intelligence Committee to this day. Andrei Derkach singled out by name by the Director of National Intelligence as someone under Vladimir Putin‘s direct purview who helped run this organization targeting our election last year. Congressman Nunes accepted a package from him. What was in it? Congressman Nunes has refused to answer questions about what he has received from Andrei Derkach.”

The problem for Nunes is that every single word of what Maddow said is true and easily fact-checked against declassified congressional and intelligence reports on the 2016 election.

So why is Nunes suing? He claims that Maddow and MSNBC never contacted him for comment and therefore he wasn’t allowed to present his side of the story. However, given the fact that Nunes constantly lies, his accusation is almost certainly false.

Also, a journalist as precise and seasoned as Maddow would never air a story without reaching out for comment from Nunes or an official representative who could speak on behalf of the congressman.

The highly litigious California Republican will lose the suit against NBCUniversal, the same way he’s lost all of the other defamation suits he’s filed against media companies — including Twitter — which dared to allow accounts that were critical of Nunes to remain on their platform.

Devin Nunes is a Russian asset. All the lawsuits in the world won’t change that fact.

Looks Like Rachel Maddow And Michael Cohen Are About To Expose All Of Trump’s Dirty Secrets

You were probably wondering if and when Michael Cohen would be doing the first interview to promote his new book about his former employer, Donald Trump. And, if you’re a devoted watcher of MSNBC, you probably thought the perfect person to conduct that interview would be Rachel Maddow.

Could we be so lucky as to see Maddow conduct a one-hour interview with Cohen, much the way she did with the president’s niece, Mary Trump?

Based on what Cohen tweeted out Monday, it certainly sounds like he’ll be appearing on Maddow’s show very soon:

That’s promising, and it certainly suggests that Maddow and Cohen will soon be discussing all of Trump’s dirty secrets, some of which Cohen hinted at in the foreword for his book, entitled Disloyal: A Memoir. The true story of the former personal attorney to President Donald J. Trump:

“From golden showers in a sex club in Vegas, to tax fraud, to deals with corrupt officials from the former Soviet Union, to catch and kill conspiracies to silence Trump’s clandestine lovers, I wasn’t just a witness to the president’s rise—I was an active and eager participant.”

Sounds like the infamous “pee tape” mentioned on the Steele dossier may indeed be very real and could explain what the Russians have on the current U.S. president.

Just imagine all of the things Cohen can shed light on:

  • Trump’s connections to Russia
  • Trump’s possible involvement in money laundering
  • The actual worth of Donald Trump
  • If the president has ever cheated on his taxes
  • Trump’s darkest sexual exploits

The release of Cohen’s book has been moved up by his publisher from October 6 to September 8, so we probably won’t have to wait much longer for that Maddow-Cohen interview. As Rachel herself is fond of saying, Watch this space.

Rachel Maddow Shreds Trump For His ‘Fatal’ Insanity In A Time Of National Crisis

It should be clear to anyone — with the possible exception of the most deluded supporters of President Donald Trump — that he has completely mishandled the coronavirus pandemic and that his ineptitude will lead to even more Americans dying from the disease.

But it’s not enough to just accuse Trump of incompetence, which he has repeatedly displayed since taking office nearly four years ago. Instead, we need to take a closer look at his failure and learn the lessons that we can as we move forward.

And that’s exactly what MSNBC host Rachel Maddow did Wednesday evening on her show, noting that the uneven response across the nation when it comes to some governors — i.e Ron DeSantis in Florida and Brian Kemp in Georgia — not imposing shelter in place orders for their states until April 1 is emblematic of a much larger failure that emanates from the Trump administration:

“But without a national policy for what we are supposed to do to head off those rising numbers, that kind of patchwork is what you get. Maybe the governors don’t have stay-at-home orders, or maybe they did not watch the ‘Today’ show, there was a stay-at-home order? Which some says never the less to interpret as our federal government’s new policies. It is insane at this point. It is insane at this point.”

Trump himself could have insisted over a month ago that every state impose such a stay-at-home policy. But he didn’t, and the blame for that lies solely on him, as Maddow noted:

“You look at the other countries in the world that have an outbreak as bad as us. Well, we stand alone. You look at other countries in the world who had terrible outbreaks at least they had a national policy. It is insane. It is fatal. It is insane in terms of policies and leadership, and ethics. It is also insane in terms of how grossly mismanaged the federal government piece of this already is.”

Maddow is absolutely right in her assessment of what we’re seeing transpire as the death toll the United States passes 5,300. We’ve been told to expect as many as 240,000 deaths when all is said and done.

But it didn’t have to be this bad. It could have been prevented if we had a competent head of state with a brain and a heart. Instead, we have a fool who only cares about himself. And that is the very definition of insanity.

Rachel Maddow Burns Trump Down For His Monumental Incompetence

Donald Trump hates all media except the outlets that praise him, i.e. Fox News or other right-wing propaganda shills that are only too happy to carry water for the administration and tell the president what a great job he’s doing.

So it was more than a bit uncharacteristic of Trump to tweet out praise of MSNBC host Rachel Maddow recently, even going so far as to include a video of her interview with the commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lieutenant General Todd Semonite, who explained how his team is building field hospitals to care for those who have contracted coronavirus:

No matter how you cut it, that’s a surprisingly positive pat on the back from a man who frequently refers to MSNBC in derogatory terms.

And Maddow was quick to acknowledge the tweet from President Trump, but she also took the time to remind him that he’s still not providing everything needed to fully battle COVID-19 in the states, where many doctors and nurses cannot get equipment such as sterile gloves and protective face masks.

Make no mistake, Maddow burned the president to the ground, but she did it with class, aplomb, and the proverbial velvet glove. Take a look:

No matter what he says, no matter what statistics he refers to, and no matter how much he tries to conceal his own massive incompetence, Donald Trump has repeatedly bungled the federal response to the pandemic that is sweeping across this country with devastating effects. People have died as a result of his refusing to take the virus seriously when it was first discovered in the United States.

Leaders lead and don’t do so seeking praise. Selfish, impotent little men seek flattery at every turn, and all they accomplish with their preening is compounding the suffering of the powerless.
