Jasmine Crockett Has The Perfect Clapback To Donald Trump’s Latest Absurd Demand

Even though he doesn’t become president for another month, Donald Trump is already making ridiculous demands of Congress that he seems to believe have validity.

Trump has even decided to insert himself into the process of passing a federal budget to avoid a government shutdown before funding expires on Friday, just days before Christmas.

Specifically, Trump is insisting that an increase in the debt ceiling be included in the bipartisan package that has been making its way through the House of Representatives, The Hill reports.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle appeared caught off guard Wednesday as President-elect Trump demanded that a debt ceiling hike be paired with a stopgap government funding bill, rejecting a sweeping bipartisan plan to avert a government shutdown this week.

Trump said in a joint statement with Vice President-elect JD Vance that while the party wants disaster aid and support for farmers — issues that are tackled in the temporary funding plan — he wants Congress to pass a “streamlined spending bill” that doesn’t give Democrats “everything they want” and has “an increase in the debt ceiling.”

Trump’s demands didn’t sit well with Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who told MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, “This quote unquote ‘mandate’ that MAGA thinks exists, it ain’t going nowhere because they literally can’t do the basics. We have passed the least amount of bills in this Congress because of the Republicans.”

“Listen, I ain’t got no favors for you, Trump. When you get here then yes, you will have the House, the Senate as well as the White House and y’all can see if y’all can figure it out. But right now, I am not trying to shut down this government…” Crockett added, making it clear she has no plans to take marching orders from a rapist president-elect who thinks he can issue edicts via social media.

Jasmine Crockett Has The Perfect Clapback For Republicans Whining About The Hunter Biden Pardon

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) masterfully slammed Republicans for their blatant hypocrisy regarding President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter, which was announced Sunday evening by the White House.

Appearing on MSNBC shortly after news of the pardon broke, Crockett noted, “Because at the end of the day, we know that we have a 34-count convicted felon that is about to walk into the White House.”

Crockett also had a brilliant clapback aimed at “anyone who wants to clutch their pearls” over the president pardoning his son, who was convicted in June of illegally possessing a gun and also pleaded guilty in September for a tax offense.

“I would say take a look in the mirror because we also know that when it comes to this Cabinet, this Cabinet has more people accused of sexual assault than any incoming Cabinet probably ever in the history of America,” she added.

“So we are living in unprecedented times and we know that this was completely political, as someone who serves on the [House] oversight committee, this was gamesmanship the entire time.”

Jasmine Crockett Has An Angry Message For Ted Cruz – And It’s Perfect

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is sick and tired of Republican politicians in the Lone Star state who continue to pass restrictive anti-abortion laws and then refuse to explain why they’re so obsessed with controlling women’s bodies.

Crockett teed off on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) during an appearance on “All In With Chris Hayes” Friday evening, noting that he’s a politician and not a doctor.

“I don’t want my governor, I don’t want AG Paxton, I definitely don’t want Ted Cruz telling me what to do with my body if my doctor has a recommendation because the last time I checked, I don’t need any of them to be my doctor.”

She added, “I don’t want them to be my elected officials.”

Host Chris Hayes referenced the most recent case of preventable death in Texas: Nevaeh Crain, a teen who died when doctors delayed treating them after they miscarried, playing a clip of Cruz being asked about why he doesn’t support exceptions to the state’s draconian anti-abortion law.

“Why is this an issue you won’t address, about saying whether you support or oppose exceptions like rape and incest?” asked debate moderator Jason Whitely.

“Jason, I’m curious, why do you keep asking me that?” Cruz replied.

Crockett said this about Cruz’s refusal to answer a direct question: “When you can’t answer a question, that is the answer, right? And the idea that we should just trust you, we shouldn’t trust you. Not when people are dying. You guys are not going to save us. You are going to, again, inflict more pain.”

Jasmine Crockett Trolls Trump With A Hilarious Prediction About Whether Or Not He’ll Debate Harris

Having said numerous times that he’s ready to debate Vice President Kamala Harris anytime and anywhere, failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump is suddenly singing a different song, suggesting that he may not show up for the first debate scheduled for Sept. 10 in Philadelphia. The debate is being hosted by ABC News.

The Washington Post reported Monday that Trump is claiming ABC won’t be fair to him.

Trump criticized the host of the debate, ABC News, during a campaign stop after visiting Arlington National Cemetery, calling it “the single worst network for unfairness” and saying that ABC “really should be shut out.” Later, in a speech in Detroit, Trump suggested the debate might not happen, offering as an aside, “If there’s a debate.”

Trump’s remarks followed a statement he made on social media Sunday evening lambasting ABC News’s Jonathan Karl over his interview with Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) earlier that day. “Why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network?” Trump asked.

So will Trump show up for the first debate, or could it be that he’s afraid of facing Harris, a former prosecutor who is known to be a superb debater?

That question was posed to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) when she appeared Monday on MSNBC with host Alicia Menendez.

Crockett made it clear she doesn’t expect Trump to debate in a couple of weeks.

“But if he does show up, he is about to get his butt handed to him. I’m here for it either way: He can go and cower in a corner, or he can show up and be lit on fire. Either way, I’m good.”

At last week’s Democratic National Convention, Crockett also went after the disgraced ex-president, noting, “America, looking at the two choices before you, who would you hire: Donald Trump or Kamala Harris? Kamala Harris has a resume. Donald Trump has a rap sheet. She presides over the Senate, while he keeps our national secrets next to his thinking chair.”

If Trump does indeed have the gumption to debate Harris, it’s safe to say Crockett’s prediction of what will happen could become a reality for Donald. We can always hope so.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett Skewers Republican Hypocrites By Mocking Their Love Of Viagra

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) used a Thursday meeting of the House Oversight Committee to mock her Republican colleagues’ fondness for erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and also proved that it’s much more frivolous of a medication than mifepristone, which is used by millions of American women to terminate pregnancy.

According to HuffPost, Crockett was questioning FDA Commissioner Dr. Robert M. Califf.

Crockett asked … whether the “medical management of a miscarriage” could potentially be a “life-saving usage” before asking him about Viagra.

“Would you consider erectile dysfunction as a life-saving usage for Viagra?” Crockett asked.

“Not life-saving,” Dr. Califf answered.

“Not life-saving? OK. Well, I’m going to tell you that based on my research, that mifepristone actually has life-saving characteristics,” Crockett said.

The congresswoman then added, “Yet Viagra doesn’t, and for those that don’t know, Viagra, from my understanding, is actually nearly 10 times greater than as it relates to the risk of death. Yet, for some reason, it’s not sitting in the court right now.”

Noting that the FDA does exceptional work testing and approving drugs used by millions of Americans, Crockett ended her comments with this verbal salvo:

“After putting it through the wringer for decades, women’s lives have been saved, and as a representative from the area that Roe v. Wade actually initiated, I am appalled because, for whatever reason, some people want us to go back to horse and buggy in this country,”

A case before the United States Supreme Court, FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, may lead to the banning of mifepristone by American women if the justices decide the Food and Drug Administration doesn’t have the power to approve the use of the drug. That ruling is expected by the end of June.
