If there actually is a reset button for political campaigns, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis needs to smash the damn thing ASAP and pray for a miracle.
The latest humiliating misstep from DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign comes in the form of photos posted online by his wife, Casey, showing the two walking on the beach.
But are they really on the beach, or is the image just a result of digital manipulation?
The Independent looked into the matter and came to some interesting conclusions.
The image was taken for Mr DeSantis’s brief campaign for Senate in 2015 ahead of the 2016 election when incumbent Florida Senator Marco Rubio was running for president before campaigning for re-election to the upper chamber.
A Flickr account called “DeSantis for Senate” has a small number of images publically available showing Mr DeSantis speaking to voters as well as the image of Mr DeSantis walking on the beach alongside his wife.
Can you say Photoshop? Twitter users certainly could, and they also did some editing of their own.
