J.D. Vance’s Accidental ‘Couch’ Reference During Campaign Speech Gets Him Dragged On Social Media

The issue of couches came up once again for Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), who was named Donald Trump’s running mate last month and has repeatedly stuck his foot in his mouth every time he speaks.

You may recall that in his memoir, Hillbilly Elegy, Vance admitted he had once masturbated using a glove he placed between two cushions on a sofa in his house, which has led to endless jokes and memes.

And now Vance is owning himself with remarks he made on the campaign trail in Reno, Nevada, HuffPost reports.

The embarrassment happened when Vance was praising his wife, Usha.

“Now, I would call her up here to come and speak,” he told the crowd.

“But then I think I’d have to sleep on the couch tonight, so I’ll leave her alone.”

Some in the audience “tittered” when Vance used the word, reporter David Moye notes.

But the biggest laughs were to be found on Twitter, where thousands of users mocked Trump’s VP choice.

Former White House Staffer Predicts Trump Will Drop Out Of The 2024 Race: ‘Don’t Be Surprised’

Following his disastrous performance and interview with the National Association of Black Journalists on Wednesday, online chatter reached a fever pitch as thousands of commenters suggested that disgraced former president Donald Trump should withdraw from the 2024 race for the White House.

And that’s a possibility, according to someone who served in the Trump administration.

According to Newsweek, former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci weighed in on Twitter, predicting that Trump will abandon his bid for a second term in office.

“Not over yet. Trump may leave the race. Just watch his poll numbers plummet and see what happens,” Scaramucci posted.

“We fight tirelessly no matter what for Freedom, for the Republic, for the Democracy and to end the threat of Tyranny.”

He added: “Don’t be surprised if Donald Trump drops out of the race.”

What might prompt Trump to make such a drastic move? Well, he could have an undisclosed medical condition that is getting worse. But it’s more likely that the real motive would be his fear of losing the election to a black woman, Vice President Kamala Harris, who is surging in the polls and raising hundreds of millions of dollars for her campaign war chest.

And while Scaramucci’s suggestion is certainly thought-provoking, most respondents to his post said they seriously doubt Trump is going anywhere. Take a look:

New Polling Shows Trump Is Fading In Florida And Could Lose The State To Kamala Harris

Imagine, for just a moment, you’re watching a news broadcast a couple of days after all of the ballots have been tallied in the 2024 election and you see the state of Florida a beautiful shade of blue, meaning that Vice President Kamala Harris has defeated failed former president Donald Trump in the state the convicted felon now calls home.

Far-fetched? Based on new polling data from the Sunshine State, Trump is losing ground in the deeply red state and could well lose in what was once a GOP stronghold.

According to Newsweek, Florida is no longer a safe state for Trump.

On Tuesday, a new poll by the University of North Florida’s Public Opinion Research Lab found how likely Florida voters feel about the current presidential race between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the poll, first reported by The Palm Beach Post, Trump currently leads Harris by 7 percentage points in Florida (49 percent to 42 percent).

In a statement to The Palm Beach Post, Michael Binder, the director of the UNH polling lab and political science professor, said, “It’s not a huge surprise to see Trump ahead in his home state of Florida, which he won by three points in 2020.”

The loss of Florida would doom Trump’s already narrowing chances of winning another term in office, especially since new polls from the key battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania show that the disgraced ex-president has lost the advantage he held before President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 race and endorsed Harris.

Additionally, Harris is seeing a huge infusion of cash to her campaign coffers, having raised over $200 million over the past week while Trump’s campaign appears to be floundering financially.

Florida is key to Trump’s chances of winning. With the state’s 30 electoral votes now in play, Republicans will have to try and devise a strategy that can allow him to reach the magic number of 270 Electoral College votes. If they can’t, Harris will win in a landslide not seen since Barack Obama won in 2008 and 2012.

Meanwhile, Harris will announce her pick of a running mate next Tuesday in Pennsylvania, which is likely to give her yet another positive bump in the polls.

Josh Shapiro Skewers Trump For His Bizarre Habit Of Hugging The American Flag

Based on comments he made about failed former president and convicted felon Donald Trump, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro may have just rocketed to the top of the list to be Kamala Harris’s choice as running mate.

Shapiro was speaking at a Harris rally on Monday, and he asked attendees, “You ever see this guy? Like when he’s on stage?”

“He kind of meanders over,” Shapiro continued, copying Trump’s gait and raised arms. “And he goes over to the flag and and he like hugs the flag — I mean I love the flag — but it’s a weird thing he does, right?!”

The crowd roared with laughter, which led Shapiro to add, “But while … while he’s hugging the flag you know what he’s doing? He’s ripping away our freedoms! That’s what he’s all about. Because here’s what I know. It’s not freedom to tell our children what books they’re allowed to read. That’s not freedom. It is not freedom to tell people they can go to work but they can’t join a union. That’s not freedom! It is not freedom to tell women what they’re allowed to do with their bodies. That’s not freedom!”

Others were also impressed with Shapiro’s spot-on impression of Trump.

Donald Trump Melania Trump Social Media WTF?!

Trump’s ‘Weird’ Description Of How Melania Reacted To His Being Shot Leaves Social Media Cringing

For the first time since a gunman shot at him during a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month, failed one-term, twice-impeached, convicted felon Donald Trump finally revealed how his wife, Melania, reacted to the attempt on his life.

Speaking with Laura Ingraham of Fox News on Monday evening, Trump was asked, “What was Melania’s reaction? I hope you don’t mind me asking, I know this is very personal, when she learned about what happened on that field in Butler?”

“She was watching … she was watching live, it was all over the place, it was on television, it was on your network, but it was all over the place and she was watching,” Trump responded.

“And I asked her that, I mean I wasn’t there, I was on the ground — when the world started to, when you could talk to people and said, ‘So what was your feeling,’ and she was ah, she can’t really even talk about it.

“Which is OK, because that means she likes me or she loves me. Let’s say if she could talk about it freely, that would be, I’m not so sure which is better but ah, she either likes or loves me, that’s nice.”

She can’t talk about it so that means she loves him? Really? Doesn’t it also possibly mean that she can’t talk about it because she simply doesn’t care, much the same way she didn’t give a diddly damn about migrant children being placed into internment camps after being ripped from the arms of their parents? Her reaction to that was wearing a jacket with this message on the back of it: “I really don’t care, do u?”

Trump’s response to Ingraham didn’t sit well with many on Twitter, with some calling it “weird,” a word that has come to exemplify his 2024 run for the White House.
