A Crucial Voting Bloc Is Abandoning The Trump-Vance Ticket: New Polling Data

For years, failed former president Donald Trump and the Republican Party have tried to make inroads with one of the fastest-growing voting blocs in the country: Hispanics.

But it appears that outreach was all for naught, according to new polling data.

On Wednesday’s edition of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Jonathan Lemire asked former Biden administration press secretary Jen Psaki about the polls.

“It’s not like Trump’s numbers are really going down per se. At least not much,” Lemire noted. “It’s more Harris’ growing support. It seems like Democrats that, for whatever reason, had really cooled on President Biden are now coming home because they’re excited about Kamala.”

“That’s exactly right, and remember just over a month ago, there was a larger number of double haters as we called them, people who weren’t thrilled about either candidate,” Psaki explained. “There was a large percentage of undecided voters that kind of wavered from poll to poll, and this all is a reflection of Democrats coming home, or Democratic-leaning voters coming home, which is a very good sign for the Biden (sic) and Walz campaign, exactly what you want coming out of the convention.”

“One of the most interesting numbers, certainly 18 to 34-year-olds, but the Hispanic number, Latinos is super interesting because this is a group that Trump and the Trump team has really done a ton of outreach to, and it is a group that you have seen some trends in certain states that has been leaning sometimes more Republican than they have been historically Democratic,” she added.

The segment concluded with Psaki remarking, “So this is a very good sign for them. What this means too, and you see this in state polls which are much more interesting to me than national polls, is that some of the states that seem to be off of the competition lane for the Democratic ticket like Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, are back in competition, and that’s a very good sign for the Harris-Walz team because they have more maps to get to 270, and it’s not just the Blue Wall, even though the Blue Wall will still be pivotal.”

Women, the single-largest voting bloc in the country, are now registering to vote in record numbers, as are young people. Harris will likely win the black vote by a mile and is also looking good among Asian voters. If the Hispanic vote also breaks for Harris, Trump will be left with little more than angry white men who wouldn’t vote for a black woman in a million years.

Could a popular and electoral vote be in the offing for Democrats in November? That’s very possible, but only if we all get out and cast a ballot against Trump and his extreme right-wing agenda.

Kamala Harris Only Needs 2 Words To Obliterate Trump’s Latest Fact-Free Attack

On Wednesday, failed one-term and twice-impeached former president Donald Trump suggested that social media engagement numbers for the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris were being inflated, claiming that he was far outpacing her online.

In an all-caps rant he posted on his failing Truth Social site, Trump blared:

“IT’S ALWAYS FAKE WITH KAMALA. WE’RE DOMINATING HER ON SOCIAL MEDIA, SO SHE MAKES UP A FAKE LIST OF HER NUMBERS VERSUS MY NUMBERS. ALL OF OUR ENGAGEMENT IS REAL AND ORGANIC, WHILE KAMALA HAS TO PAY FOR HER FAKE ENGAGEMENT. WE’RE BEATING HER ‘LIKE A DRUM’, LIKE WE WILL BEAT HER ON NOVEMBER 5TH. IT’S ALL FAKE, IT’S ALL MISINFORMATION AND DISINFORMATION. WE ARE DESTROYING THE DEMOCRATS ON SOCIAL MEDIA!”

Wow! That’s a hell of a lot of insecurity for one screed. And it’s also proof that the Trump campaign is floundering, with his poll numbers fading and Harris tied or ahead in several key battleground states.

Rather than try to counter Trump’s blatant lies, the Harris campaign tweeted out a two-word response that vaporized Donald’s whining:

That set off a wave of online mockery aimed squarely at the convicted GOP nominee.

Insecure Trump Claims Kamala Harris’ Social Media Engagement Is ‘ALL FAKE’ In Whiny All-Caps Post

As she continues to lead in the polls over failed former president/convicted felon Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris is also killing it on social media, seeing her online engagement skyrocket so much that Axios noted in an article the Harris campaign has reached a point of “dominance” in the online realm.

By the numbers: The @KamalaHarris TikTok account gained 2 million followers in the first 24 hours since she became the presidential nominee and now has over 4.8 million.

The first six TikTok videos had more than 113 million views combined as of earlier this month.

The @KamalaHQ account, which was rebranded from Biden HQ, has grown its following from 440K followers to over 3.9 million followers.

Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign is stuck with his posts being seen on his ever-contracting Truth Social platform, which are later reposted on Twitter, but to a much smaller audience than ever.

Is Trump worried that he’s losing the online battle with Harris? Oh yes! Very worried, and he proved it today with an all-caps rant in response to the Axios article.

Trump knows he’s losing, and it terrifies him. He knows that losing the election means he will be found guilty of multiple federal charges and sent to prison for a very long time.

Others on social media were delighted by Trump’s palpable fear, and they let him know it.

Ketanji Brown Jackson Says She’s ‘Prepared’ If The 2024 Election Winds Up Before The Supreme Court

If, as expected, the 2024 election winds up being close, the results may wind up in front of the United States Supreme Court, which would then be forced to rule on who won, much as they did in 2000, declaring George W. Bush president instead of then-Vice President Al Gore based on a few hundred controversial ballots in the state of Florida.

Is the high court ready for such a scenario? According to Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, she’s pondered such a scenario and is “as prepared as anyone can be.”

Speaking with Norah O’Donnell of CBS News, according to HuffPost, Jackson explained her thoughts on the matter.

With a laugh, Jackson flipped the script on O’Donnell, saying, “Let me ask you, are you prepared for all of the news cycles that you’re getting as a result of this election?”

“Um, no,” the host replied.

“No, exactly,” Jackson said. “I mean, I think there are legal issues that arise out of the political process. And so, the Supreme Court has to be prepared to respond — if — if that should be necessary.”

Justice Jackson also weighed in on the high court’s controversial ruling in July that a president has immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts. Jackson dissented in that decision, warning that it “breaks new and dangerous ground.”

“In your dissent, you wrote that, ‘The court declared for the first time in history that the most powerful official in the United States can, under circumstances yet to be fully determined, become a law unto himself.’ Sounds like a warning,” O’Donnell noted.

“You were concerned about broad immunity?” O’Donnell inquired.

“I was concerned about a system that appeared to provide immunity for one individual under one set of circumstances. When we have a criminal justice system that had ordinarily treated everyone the same,” Jackson responded.

The 6-3 decision was crafted by the six conservative members of the court, with the three progressive justices, Jackson, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan dissenting, arguing that giving such total immunity to a president makes him accountable to no one, much like a king.

Here’s How Kamala Harris Is Destroying Trump’s Self-Professed ‘Masculinity’

Though most of the attention surrounding the Democratic National Convention was on how unified Democrats were and what an incredibly upbeat show they’d just presented to the American public, there was a subtext to the convention that suggests that the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign is also going after male voters in a way that’s a direct challenge to failed former president Donald Trump’s single-largest voting block: Men.

And that, according to The Bulwark’s Ilyse Hogue, is bad news for the Donald and, by extension, the entire Republican Party.

“Chicago might prove to be the key to opening that GOP lock,” Hogue explains. “From the first night’s invocation to the balloon drop after Harris’s speech, the Democratic convention featured a lineup that refused to accept the boy vs. girl frame that has come to define this year’s election. And they didn’t just seek to compete for male votes, but to reclaim masculinity itself as belonging to their party, too. “

In particular, Harris’ acceptance speech was a clear moment of outreach to male voters with references to the U.S. maintaining the “most lethal” military in the world while also going after threats here at home that could endanger the lives of children, the elderly, and the infirm. In other words, there will be consequences if someone decides to grab another American “by the pussy” as Trump bragged on the infamous “Access Hollywood” that nearly cost him the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton.

Harris’ acceptance speech had another goal, Hogue notes.

“But it was equally notable for what it didn’t contain: the demurring phrases meant to demonstrate that she’s not a threat to men or the subtle indications that she’s still a woman. Sure, Kamala cooks dinner. But she makes a crispy, sassy dosa, not chocolate chip cookies, and you better be on time. Yes, she has had a career in law. But she didn’t even have to bother defending it, as Hillary once did. Sure, abortion is top of mind, and the Vice President is an unapologetic champion of reproductive freedom. But restoring Roe was a commitment she put alongside a pledge to sign a tough border measure.”

There was also the other half of the 2024 Democratic ticket, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who spoke in terms that male voters could easily grasp.

“He sprinkled his speech with references to football plays and trophies he earned by shooting rifles, and he undergirded those endeavors with a clear directive about the responsibility that naturally accompanies them. Might and brawn mean nothing if they are not used to protect and defend—and not just your women and children, but your community and country.”

Comedian DL Hugley then shut the door on the Trump-GOP brand of masculinity, making it clear today’s Democratic Party will not concede any group of voters to the GOP, no matter how difficult the task may be.

“His remark that the rise of Republicans for Kamala meant Trump would finally know what it feels like when ‘YOU get left for a younger woman’ got uproarious applause. It also sent a signal to men that someone who punches down to lift himself up might be less of a ‘man’ than the woman on the other ticket.”

If Harris can manage to peel off as little as 5% of the men who voted for Trump in 2016 or 2020, she’ll win in a popular and electoral vote landslide. And based on what we saw at the Democratic convention, it’s safe to say she and her party know how to hit Trump where it hurts him and Republicans most.
