Claims That Trump Won In A ‘Landslide’ Are BS – He’s On Track To Win By About 1%

Within 24 hours of Donald Trump being named winner of the 2024 presidential election, headlines began circulating that suggested he’d done so by a “landslide.”

But the truth is that the election between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will be decided by about 1 percentage point, which is nowhere near landslide proportions.

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell expertly laid out the case against a landslide on his show Monday evening, noting:

“Ballots received in the mail tomorrow will be counted in California. So there are literally millions of ballots yet to be counted in this country, including in the state of Pennsylvania, where thousands of votes remain to be counted to determine the balance of the United States Senate.”

“Republicans will probably have 52 senators next year or 53 if Republicans win the Pennsylvania Senate election. The Democrats will probably have 47 members of the Senate or 48 if Democrat Bob Casey wins the Pennsylvania Senate race.”

The GOP will also have a narrow margin of control in the House.

“We still don’t know which party will control the House of Representatives, but we do know that it will be very close. As of tonight, Republicans have 214 seats in the House and Democrats have 205 seats in the House, according to NBC News, with 16 remaining to be decided.”

And then there’s the Trump-Harris margin of victory, which is getting smaller by the second as more ballots are tabulated.

“In the presidential vote. Donald Trump currently has 50.2% of the vote to Kamala Harris, 48.1% of the vote. But that margin will probably narrow after all the California votes are finally counted, and it is possible that Kamala Harris will end up with only one– 1% of the vote less than Donald Trump, a 1% gap. Right now, she’s at 2% less than Donald Trump.”

“If you hear anyone calling this election a landslide, please stop listening to that person! About elections, at least.”

What qualifies as a landslide? Well, when Bill Clinton won reelection in 1996 by a whopping 9%, even that wasn’t considered to be a landslide.

O’Donnell concluded his summary with this historical reminder of what a landslide looks like:

“The last landslide we had was Ronald Reagan’s reelection in 1984, where he won 49 states in the Electoral College, with only the state of Minnesota voting for Walter Mondale, who was from Minnesota. Ronald Reagan beat Walter Mondale by 18 points. That’s what a landslide looks like.”

The Choice 2024: Fascism Or Freedom

Here’s a hypothetical question for us all to consider as we sit and watch election returns later this evening: What would the men who created our form of self-governance think if they could tell us their thoughts on the state of this country in 2024?

They’d probably be shocked by how badly divided we are as a nation, but then again, many in the fledgling United States circa 1776 thought it would be a disaster for us to seek our independence from Great Britain.

But in the end, the logic and reason of men such as Thomas Jefferson and James Madison won out, making it clear that we could only go forward, not retreat into the way things were just because such a path was easier to predict and less fraught with uncertainty.

So here we are, 248 years after the Declaration of Independence created this nation, eventually making us “the indispensable” country across the globe, a beacon of freedom and hope while at the same time being a nation rife with hatred, racism, and xenophobia.

The most basic question of the 2024 election is this one: Will we choose fascism or freedom?

Fascism, it should be noted, is defined as “a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by forcible suppression of opposition.”

Take a good look at that definition. Does it sound like anything the men who created this republic would in favor of seeing take hold? They had just broken away from England and it’s tyrannical king because he had his foot on the colonies and refused to listen to their pleas for fairness and a modicum of freedom.

Freedom is a word that means many things to many people. It is technically defined this way:

“The power or right to speak, act and change as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Freedom is often associated with liberty and autonomy in the sense of ‘giving oneself one’s own laws.'”]

Now consider the two candidates seeking the White House in this election cycle, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Which one best represents the ideals of freedom and which one has verbally expressed a desire to set the nation on a course of fascism?

Some suggest that calling 2024 the most important election in American history is a ridiculous exaggeration But is it? After all, one party seeks to impose restrictions on the decisions women make about their own bodies, which in many ways is the most fundamental freedom of all.

Freedom is a wonderful thing, but it is also incredibly fragile, as Benjamin Franklin reminded us when he was asked what form of government the new nation would have.

“A Republic, if you can keep it,” Franklin told a woman who inquired.

We can keep it. We have kept it for nearly 250 years and we stand at yet another inflection point in our history. Harris represents freedom while Trump promises fascism. But at the end of the day, the choice is ours, and we’d be wise to continue on the path of freedom or watch as this nation devolves into chaos, hatred, and dictatorial rule.

Former Trump Aide Has Great News For Kamala Harris And A Chilling Prediction For Donnie’s Future

Everywhere you look these days, there are predictions and polls regarding who will likely win the 2024 presidential election. Will it be Vice President Kamala Harris or will former president Donald Trump manage to eke out a victory?

Polls suggest the race is dead even, with the latest Friday morning polls showing the race tied 48-48 with less than two weeks until Election Day on Nov. 5.

So it seems the right time to ask someone who actually knows Trump and has been right many times about what the disgraced ex-president will say or do on any number of issues.

Anthony Scaramucci was the White House Director of Communications for 10 days and spoke this week with Sirius XM host Dean Obeidallah about what might happen over the next couple of weeks.

According to Scaramucci, Harris will be victorious.

“It’s too close to call. I think she’s going to win because she’s got the money, the organization, and I think there are more good people in the country. I think he loses.”

If that proves to be an accurate prediction, will Trump then attempt to overturn the results and possibly even call for rioting by his supporters the way he did on January 6, 2021 at the Capitol?

“If he loses, I’m in the contrarian view that he will not try to foment any violent revolution or an insurrection because he has a sentencing hanging over him on November the 26th,” Scaramucci said. “So three weeks after the election, 34 felony counts, he’s got to stand before a judge and be sentenced. If he’s fomenting violence in the three weeks after the election, they’re going to put him in jail. There’s no question about that in my mind.”

But what if Trump merely slinks away without calling for unrest? Does he still wind up in prison?

“I think if he doesn’t do that, and he says, ‘I’m never going to accept a defeat, but I’m not suggesting violence,’ and he slinks away, they won’t put him in jail because I don’t think they want to put a former president, no matter how bad he is, in jail. But if he’s out there blowing dog whistles and he says, ‘I want you to shoot your neighbors that didn’t vote for me,’ and you have violence in the streets in the United States, he’s going straight to jail.”

Let’s hope Scaramucci is right about a Harris victory and wrong about Trump’s chances of incarceration. If anyone has ever deserved to spend the rest of their life behind bars, it’s Donald Trump.

Flood Of GOP Polls Could Be ‘Rigging’ Last-Minute Electoral Momentum In Trump’s Favor

Just a couple of weeks ago, it seemed that everything was going swimmingly for the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, showing them leading in almost every key swing state and nationally, with the Democratic ticket’s lead growing as large as four to five percentage points.

Now, however, with Election Day less than two weeks away, you see endless stories in the media about how former president Donald Trump is gaining momentum and could even be considered the favorite.

What in the world is going on here?!

It’s called poll rigging, and as Greg Sargent and Michael Tomasky explain in The New Republic, right-wing affiliated polling firms are bragging that they’re behind the Trump polling bump.

It all went down in mid-September, at a time when the FiveThirtyEight polling averages showed the slightest of leads for Kamala Harris in North Carolina, a must-win state for Trump. Her edge was short-lived: The averages moved back to favoring Trump. And Quantus Insights, a GOP-friendly polling firm, took credit for this development. When a MAGA influencer celebrated the pro-Trump shift on X (formerly Twitter), Quantus’s account responded: “You’re welcome.”

The implication was clear. A Quantus poll had not only pushed the averages back to Trump; this was nakedly the whole point of releasing the poll in the first place.

Of course, the underlying goal of such poll rigging is simple: Create momentum which then gets press coverage and makes voters believe the election is shifting in favor of a candidate. Republicans have been doing it for years, but the last time they did so, it wound up biting them right on the ass.

Coming at a time when right-wing disinformation is soaring—and Trump’s most feverish ally, Elon Musk, is converting X into a bottomless sewer pit of MAGA-pilled electoral propaganda—these critics see all this as a hyper-emboldened version of what happened in 2022, when GOP polls flooded the polling averages and arguably helped make GOP Senate candidates appear stronger than they were, leading to much-vaunted predictions of a “red wave.” Most prominently, Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg and data analyst Tom Bonier, who were skeptical of such predictions in 2022 and ultimately proved correct, are now warning that all this is happening again.

There was no 2022 “red wave,” and many of us were left wondering (as we did in 2016 when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton) how the polls could have been so wrong.

They were wrong because polls can easily be manipulated and often reflect the bias of the pollster conducting the poll.

Polling bias/rigging is now so ubiquitous (especially among conservatives) that it has become a default strategy for the 2024 Trump campaign, which knows Harris has more money to spend in the closing days of the campaign as real momentum (i.e. voters going to the polls) builds for Democrats. Republicans are desperate for a narrative to counter what they see happening on the ground.

In their telling, GOP data is serving an essential end of pro-Trump propaganda, which is heavily geared toward painting him as a formidable, “strong” figure whose triumph over the “weak” Kamala Harris is inevitable. This illusion is essential to Trump’s electoral strategy, goes this reading, and GOP-aligned data firms are concertedly attempting to build up that impression, both in the polling averages and in media coverage that is gravitationally influenced by it. They are also engaged in a data-driven psyop designed to spread a sense of doom among Democrats that the election is slipping away from them.

A data-driven psyop. In other words, it’s the sort of thing that’s done in Russia and other authoritarian countries: Repeating a lie so often that people start to believe it’s true.

Who is actually on the path to victory on November 5? A poll won’t tell you. That can only be determined by counting the ballots. So hang in there. We’ve only got 13 more days before the polls are utterly irrelevant.

Enraged ‘Christian’ Trump Supporter Threatens Kamala Harris – She’s ‘Gonna Meet Her Maker’

A rabid supporter of failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump said over the weekend that Vice President Kamala Harris should start praying and asking God to forgive her or else she would “meet her maker.”

The man, who said his name was Andrew, spoke to a reporter from Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), and proclaimed that he was there to “represent the truth, Jesus Christ.”

Despite his claims of representing Christ, Andrew had some other incredibly un-Christlike things to say, accusing Democrats of having “sold out for the devil.”

“They don’t want anything to do with God,” he said. “I think [Harris] better get on her hands and her knees and start crying out to the one and true living God because if not, she’s gonna meet her maker real quick.”

“I think she’s dumb,” he added. “She’s one of the dumbest women that could ever run. She shouldn’t run.”

Andrew also spouted off some misogynistic bile.

“This is a man’s world. This is a man’s country. This… this country is supposed to be run like a business. And that is why Donald Trump is the one that we need at this moment.”

Social media users pushed back on the man’s rantings.
