Trump Tells Parents Of School Shooting Victims: Guns Are Necessary In The US ‘For Entertainment’

Failed one-term former president Donald Trump has a message for the parents of children killed in school shootings: Be thankful you live in a country with lots of guns because they’re necessary to keep us entertained.

Trump said that in response to a question he received during a Univision town hall meeting this week when he was asked by a voter, “Could you explain your gun control policy to the parents of the victims of school shootings?”

The disgraced ex-president replied, “We have a Second Amendment and right to bear arms, essentially. And I’m very strongly an advocate of that — I think you need that. I think that if you ever tried to get rid of it, you wouldn’t be able to do it. You wouldn’t be able to take away the guns, because people need that for security. They need it for entertainment, and for sport and other things — but they also, in many cases, need it for protection.”

He continued, “You want to have a lot of good people have [guns]. But if we didn’t have that, you would see a crime rate that’s crazy.”

Did you notice that Trump never once mentioned school shootings, which were the main gist of the question? Instead, he attacked his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris with blatant lies.

“She wants to take everybody’s gun away, you know she’s always wanted that,” Trump claimed. “That’s because, uh, that’s what she wants. She wants to take everybody’s gun. You know who will never give their guns up? The bad guy. The bad guy’s not giving up the guns. So that’s what we have. We want safety, we want security, but you have to still adhere to the Second Amendment.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) shared video of Trump’s comments on Twitter.

Trump’s laissez-faire attitude about guns didn’t sit well with many on social media.

WATCH Donnie Faceplant When A Latino Voter Asks Him How He Plans To ‘Win Back My Vote’

Disgraced former president Donald Trump participated in a town hall meeting Wednesday evening with undecided Latino voters that was hosted by Univision, and at the event a man suggested that the ex-head of state would have to “win back” his vote.

Ramiro Gonzalez, a Florida Republican, noted that he had been extremely upset by Trump’s actions on January 6, 2021, when thousands of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol.

“I am a Republican. I want to give you the opportunity to try and win back my vote. Your action, and maybe inaction, during your presidency and the last few years sort of … was a little disturbing to me. What happened during Jan. 6 and the fact that you waited so long to take action while your supporters were attacking the Capitol.”

Rather than give an actual response to Gonzalez, Trump suggested that no one had done anything wrong on Jan. 6. because “no one was killed.”

“You had hundreds of thousands of people come to Washington. They didn’t come because of me, they came because of the election,” Trump said. “Some of those people went down to the Capitol — I said, ‘peacefully and patriotically.’ Nothing done wrong. At all. Nothing done wrong.”

“Maybe we’ll get your vote,” he added. “Sounds like maybe I won’t, but that’s OK, too.”

Newsweek reports that Trump also tried to blame the rioting on others. As he did, the camera panned to three women in the audience.

“All three women can be seen sitting with their arms folded while listening to the former president speak, with the one on the far left moving her head up and widening her eyes at the point where Trump seemed to contradict himself.”

Based on all of that, it’s safe to say Trump won’t be getting Mr. Gonzalez’s vote, and until he owns up to his actions (and inaction) on Jan. 6, the failed former president doesn’t deserve anyone’s support.

Fox Audience Laughs When Trump Jokes About Woman Who Died Due To Georgia Abortion Law

A Fox News audience composed of pro-Trump supporters laughed during a Wednesday town hall that was billed as focusing on women’s issues when the disgraced ex-president cracked a tasteless joke about a pregnant Georgia woman who died as the result of being unable to get medical care after taking medication to terminate her pregnancy.

The woman, Amber Thurman, ProPublica reported in September, “suffered from a grave infection that her suburban Atlanta hospital was well-equipped to treat.”

She’d taken abortion pills and encountered a rare complication; she had not expelled all of the fetal tissue from her body. She showed up at Piedmont Henry Hospital in need of a routine procedure to clear it from her uterus, called a dilation and curettage, or D&C.

But just that summer, her state had made performing the procedure a felony, with few exceptions. Any doctor who violated the new Georgia law could be prosecuted and face up to a decade in prison.

Thurman waited in pain in a hospital bed, worried about what would happen to her 6-year-old son, as doctors monitored her infection spreading, her blood pressure sinking and her organs beginning to fail.

The host of the town hall was Harris Faulkner, and she told Trump as the event began, “I want to share with you Senators Warnock and Ossoff, [former] Atlanta Mayor [Keisha] Bottoms, and Amber Thurman’s family have come out on a press call. And they’re doing what’s called a prebuttal to our town hall right now.”

His voice dripping with sarcasm, Trump said, “Oh, that’s nice.”

“Yeah,” Faulkner replied.

“You’ll get better ratings, I promise,” Trump added as Faulkner grinned.

Some in the audience began applauding and laughing. Others yelled, “Woooo!”

Trump’s flippant comment and the reaction from women in the audience set off a torrent of criticism on Twitter.

Early Voting Numbers From A Key Battleground State Are Bad News For Trump And The GOP

Early voting has begun in several states, and a look at the numbers from one key battleground state should have former president Donald Trump and the Republicans very worried, according to the CEO of a data analysis firm.

Tom Bonier is head of the TARA Group, and he’s been taking a deep dive into the raw numbers attached to early ballots in the state of Michigan. Keep in mind that data doesn’t indicate which candidate or party will win or lose the 2024 election, but it does provide insight into who is showing up to vote.

One key finding from Bonier’s research is women are showing up in numbers that dwarf the 2020 and 2022 elections.

As Bonier notes on Twitter/X, “A lot of that is being driven by huge turnout from Black women. Black voters overall are accounting for a substantially larger share of the votes cast thus far, relative to the same point in ’20 or ’22.”

Black women are a key voting bloc for both Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party.

Bonier also notes that the early voting numbers also show the age range of those casting ballots.

“And to drill down even further… older Black women are very much leading the way in Michigan. Their turnout so far is 115% what it was at this point in 2020.”

All of this suggests that Democrats are on pace to win Michigan’s 15 electoral votes, which would help Harris get closer to the 270 total electoral votes she needs to be the next president of the United States.

WTF?! Trump Abruptly Ends Town Hall Q&A And Dances To Music For 39 Minutes!

If you happened to look at your Twitter/X feed this morning, you probably saw that one of the trending topics was “dementia.”

Dementia? Hmm. Who could that possibly apply to? If you guessed failed former president Donald Trump, give yourself a pat on the back and prepare yourself for what comes next.

According to Newsweek, Trump held a town hall meeting in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on Monday evening. It was hosted by South Dakota GOP Gov. Kristi Noem, who also happens to be a confessed dog murderer and overall vile douchebag.

Proceedings were paused while two attendees received medical attention, at which point Trump jokingly asked whether “anybody else would like to faint?” He then said: “Let’s not do any more questions. Let’s just listen to music. Let’s make it into a music. Who the hell wants to hear questions, right?”

Video or it didn’t happen, right? Here ya go:

What in the hell is that?! Can you imagine what Trump would have said if Vice President Kamala Harris had done the same thing? He made fun of President Joe Biden for using a teleprompter during his speeches, even though the Donald relies on one, too.

Of course, to hear the Trump campaign tell it (i.e. spin it), the musical interlude was just a nice change of pace that proves what a great man of the people their candidate is.

Campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung immediately went into damage control mode, posting on Twitter, “Something very special is happening in Pennsylvania right now at the Trump townhall. @realDonaldTrump is unlike any politician in history, and it’s great.”

But very few people were buying what Cheung was selling, and social media exploded with well-deserved mockery for the twice-impeached ex-head of state.

Someone really needs to stage an intervention. Of course, no one will, because they need Donnie so they can continue their grifting.
