Social Media Erupts With Laughter When Melania Dodges Donnie’s Kiss At Republican Convention

After he had finished his incredibly tedious 92-minute acceptance speech at the 2024 Republican convention on Thursday evening, disgraced former president Donald Trump was joined onstage by his third wife, Melania.

But as Newsweek notes, what caught most people’s attention is the fact that the convicted felon leaned in to kiss his wife and was rebuked as she dodged away from him.

Immediately after the speech, he leant in for a kiss on the lips with his wife, which she appeared to “dodge,” former White House bureau chief Steve Herman wrote on social media platform Mastodon.

The moment was also shared to X, formerly Twitter, by journalist Aaron Rupar, who also accused the former first lady of “dodging Trump’s kiss.” The post has been viewed over 216,000 times.

In the clip, Melania Trump was seen turning her cheek to her husband on stage as he tried to kiss her before the couple walked off stage together, hand in hand.

That was all it took to send Twitter users into fits of laughter, followed by mockery.

Trump’s ‘Boring’ 92-Minute Acceptance Speech Quite Literally Put RNC Attendees To Sleep

Though he and his staffers had touted it all week as a message of “unity,” convicted felon Donald Trump used his acceptance speech Thursday evening to the Republican National Convention to traffic in conspiracy theories, lies, and bizarre references to pop culture figures such as Hannibal Lecter while also claiming he had the imprimatur and protection of God himself.

And that was just the first 30 minutes!

The speech lasted for 92 (!) minutes, by which time most of the delegates in the convention hall were yawning, rubbing their eyes, and silently praying for the tirade to end.

Thrilling, huh? When even your most ardent supporters can’t manage to keep their eyes open, it’s clear you’re a tiresome bore who desperately needs to learn the meaning of the word “editing.”

Trump’s seemingly endless speech led to lots of commentary on social media, where many noted that Donald had the perfect opportunity to prove he had changed since being shot last weekend in Pennsylvania, but only managed to reinforce his image as a long-winded bully who wants to destroy the American republic for his own aggrandizement.

What will Trump do for an encore? Read the New York telephone book aloud while his acolytes pray over him?

Vance’s RNC Acceptance Speech Went Over Like A ‘Wet Box Of Matches’ – Even Trump Looked Bored

It was the biggest speech of his life, but Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) left many in the audience at the 2024 Republican National Convention less than impressed, including convicted felon and failed former president Donald Trump, who appeared terminally bored as he watched his running mate tell his life story.

NBC News notes that Vance highlighted his troubled past, which includes a mother who was addicted to drugs.

“Mamaw raised me as my mother struggled with addiction,” Vance recalled. “Mamaw was in so many ways a woman of many contradictions. She loved the Lord, she was a woman of very deep Christian faith, but she also loved the f-word. I’m not kidding, she could make a sailor blush.”

“Our movement is about single moms like mine, who struggled with money and addiction but never gave up,” Vance said. “And I am proud to say that tonight my mom is here, 10 years clean and sober.”

But despite his homespun phrasing, many were less than impressed with what Vance had to say while others found it laughable that he claimed today’s GOP is a “big tent.”

And of course there was the predictable ass-kissing of his master.

 “They accused him of being a tyrant. They said he must be stopped at all costs. But how did he respond? He called for national unity, for national calm, literally right after an assassin nearly took his life. He remembered the victims of the terrible attack, especially the brave Corey Comperatore, who gave his life to protect his family. … And then President Trump flew to Milwaukee and got back to work.”

Well if it walks like a tyrant, talks like a tyrant, and acts like a tyrant, it sure as hell ain’t a duck, J.D.

Social media also weighed in on Vance’s speech.

Oh well, maybe J.D. will be more successful when he attempts to tell American women that he doesn’t want them to have any rights other than the right to be birthing vessels.

Something strange happened at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday evening when Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) took the stage to address the assembled delegates.

As Gaetz stepped to the podium to speak, it was immediately obvious that something was different about his appearance, as Patriot Takes noted on Twitter with a side-by-side photo comparison of the Florida Republican.

Holy shit! Did Matty get a facelift? Or has he been hitting the Botox to look younger? Whatever the reason, it didn’t take long before social media exploded with top-notch mockery and trolling. Take a look:

RNC Attendees Mocked For Wearing ‘Maxi Pads’ On Their Ears As Proof Of Fealty To Trump

If you watched any of the 2024 Republican National Convention (a.k.a. GOP Nuremberg rally) on Tuesday evening, you may have noticed that many delegates were wearing bandages on their right ear, a sign of loyalty to convicted felon Donald Trump, who survived an assassination attempt over the weekend during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

According to Newsweek, “Arizona delegate Joe Neglia, 63, told CBS News that the prop, which he said he made on the bus to the convention, was an homage to the Republican nominee. He called it ‘the newest fashion trend.'”

“It’s just in sympathy with Donald Trump,” Neglia told U.K. newspaper The Guardian. “I saw that man get shot. I thought that man has almost given his life for his country. He deserves some respect for that.”

It didn’t take long before the mockery began on social media.
