Back in December of 2023, Traitor-in-Chief Donald Trump proudly told the world exactly what he had planned if he won the 2024 election.
During a town hall meeting with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump was asked if he would govern democratically if voters put him back in the White House. Would he be a dictator?
“Except for day one,” Trump responded. I want to close the border, and I want to drill, drill, drill.”
“We love this guy,” Trump said of Hannity. “He says, ‘You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?’ I said: ‘No, no, no, other than day one. We’re closing the border, and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.’”
Less than a month into his second term in office, however, Trump is clearly operating like a dictator each and every day. He’s issuing executive orders, shutting down agencies, freezing funds allocated by Congress, and suggesting that more draconian actions are yet to come from his administration.
If there was any doubt that Emperor Trump does indeed plan to be an American Caesar, it was destroyed by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) during an appearance on right-wing “news” network Newsmax while discussing Trump’s executive order that would ban trans girls and women from participating in women’s sports.
Tuberville remarked, “There is no dictatorship here other than Donald Trump saying, ‘This is not gonna happen.’”
It’s like something out of Orwell’s 1984, isn’t it? Big Brother will do whatever he wants and call it something else. You know the routine: “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”
In essence, Tuberville is saying Trump has every right to act as an absolute authoritarian because that’s just how things are now in the United States. Apparently, we went from a representative democracy to a fascist state in one election. The Founding Fathers would be so damn proud!
