During an appearance at the University of Cambridge in the UK recently, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi didn’t pull her punches as she discussed the current state of the Republican Party and its unending devotion to Donald Trump, a man who will likely go down in history as the worst president in U.S. history.
Pelosi began by talking about the GOP, Newsweek notes:
The House Speaker added that today’s Republicans seem determined to ignore the fact that the vast majority of Americans support a woman’s right to make her own reproductive choices and requiring background checks to purchase a gun:
Asked for the thoughts on Trump, she said she rarely talks about him anymore, but did get one zinger in that’s certain to enrage the ex-president:
She then attached this addendum to the subject of Trump:
That line drew tremendous applause from the audience, and it’s only a matter of time before the failed, one-term loser POTUS will feel a need to respond.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley believed that former President Donald Trump was suffering from “serious mental decline” and took top-secret measures to assure he didn’t launch a nuclear attack or other military action according to Peril, a new book from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward and Washington Post reporter Robert Costa.
According to CNN, Milley took the action on Jan. 8, just two days after the Capitol riots which Trump help instigate with a fiery speech to his supporters:
Woodward and Costa write that Milley, deeply shaken by the assault, ‘was certain that Trump had gone into a serious mental decline in the aftermath of the election, with Trump now all but manic, screaming at officials and constructing his own alternate reality about endless election conspiracies.’ Milley worried that Trump could ‘go rogue,’ the authors write.
Milley then called a secret meeting at the Pentagon and told top military officials in charge of the National Military Command Center that they shouldn’t take any orders from Trump or his staffers unless it first passed through the Joint Chiefs Chairman:
Additionally, Milley also reassured Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that the nation’s nukes were secure:
Then-CIA Director Gina Haspel reportedly told Milley that she was worried about a coup attempt being initiated by Trump or some of his top aides:
When Trump refused to concede in November 2020, Haspel warned Milley, “We are on the way to a right-wing coup. The whole thing is insanity. He is acting out like a six-year-old with a tantrum.” Haspel also worried that Trump would try to attack Iran.
“This is a highly dangerous situation. We are going to lash out for his ego?” she asked Milley, according to the book.
And yet this is the very same Donald Trump who is considering a run for the GOP nomination in 2024. He doesn’t belong in politics or anywhere else other than a mental institution or prison. Trump is and always will be a clear and present danger to the United States and our republic.
Does the name Stephanie Grisham ring any bells? Considering that she was a member of the Trump administration and staff turnover was a constant during the years failed, one-term former President Donald Trump was in office, you can be forgiven if her name doesn’t automatically evoke any memories of her tenure.
Grisham was chief of staff to Melania Trump and also served as White House press secretary for a time. She’s the press secretary who never once held a press briefing. Remember her now? Here she is:
According to Axios, Grisham may soon be a household name thanks to a tell-all book she’s written about her time inside the Trump administration, because she’s allegedly going to detail scandals none of us knew about:
The book — entitled I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House — is especially dangerous for the Trumps because Grisham reportedly knows things others don’t:
A source close to the publication told Axios: “Grisham knows where all the bodies are buried because she buried a lot of them herself.”
The source says Grisham “has receipts … she was a press person and it was her job to make sure she knew what was happening.”
Grisham knows the Trump family well, too, according to Axios, and that led a former White House colleague to remark:
The danger from Grisham’s book is significant for Donald Trump since he’s considering running again in 2024, but the person who would be most impacted is Melania:
“Melania Trump guarded her privacy intensely and trusted almost nobody during her time as first lady. Grisham, as her chief of staff, was one of the very few allowed into her inner sanctum.
“She saw another sideof the Trumps — in the residence — that most staffers never got to see.”
And that alone led the former staffer who served with Grisham to warn:
Good. As much anxiety as Donald Trump caused during his term of office, it’s about time karma paid him a visit.
Failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump is livid that cable news outlets spent most of Sunday reporting on Hurricane Ida, which was bearing down on the Gulf Coast and made landfall last night.
During a call-in interview with right-wing radio host Todd Starnes, Trump whined that the networks should have been covering events in Afghanistan, which they did all last week:
Actually, the “agreement” Trump referred to was put in place during the final months of his administration, and it was a deeply flawed plan that allowed the Taliban to take control of the country in record time. Trump even sent then-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Doha, Qatar, to meet with members of the Taliban, something President Joe Biden has refused to do because he doesn’t want to give the group legitimacy the way Trump did.
Trump also claimed he had been tough on the Taliban and had told the leader of the group he would bomb his house first if anything went wrong. However, considering that the former president is a pathological liar, that’s probably complete nonsense:
Then why doesn’t Trump start his own media company? Probably because no one will invest any money on a project he’s attached to. Trump has always been a failure in the business world and is an incompetent fool who had millions of dollars handed to him by his father. He later squandered that money and had to be bailed out on multiple occasions by his family and banks such as Deutsche Bank, which is getting ready to call the Donald’s loans in later this year.
Here’s an idea for you, Donald: Put the crank away and go to bed instead of staying up all night tweaking. You’re burning out the few brain cells you have left.
Here’s a simple, irrefutable fact about failed, one-term, twice impeached former President Donald Trump: He’s a rabid misogynist who thinks women serve no purpose other than providing sex and raising children.
Over the years, the disgusting things Trump has said about women have been well documented. Here’s what he said in his 1997 book The Art of the Comeback:
“The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers. The person who came up with the expression ‘the weaker sex’ was either very naïve or had to be kidding. I have seen women manipulate men with just a twitch of their eye — or perhaps another body part.”
And now Trump is back, and he’s on the attack against women in politics, raging at Vice President Kamala Harris and Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), among others, telling radio host Hugh Hewitt:
Actually, they DID win the election, and they won it in a landslide, unless you choose to believe that the Chinese used “special thermometers” to alter the 2020 vote count.
When Hewitt asked if any of the possible GOP presidential contenders had impressed him enough to warrant an endorsement if he decides not to run in 2024, Trump replied:
Donald Trump hasn’t changed. He’s just as disgusting and hateful as ever. He belongs behind bars. Not only for his financial crimes, but also for taking part in an attempted coup against the U.S. government. And while we’re at it, let’s also make sure he’s held responsible for the dozens of sexual assaults and rapes he’s alleged to have committed over his lifetime. He doesn’t deserve to walk among law-abiding citizens any longer.
