The first wife of failed, one-term former president Donald Trump, Ivana, died today at the age of 73.
According to CNN, Mrs. Trump was found dead at her New York home:
The New York Police Department said later Thursday there did not “appear to be any criminality” related to Ivana Trump’s death. She was 73.
According to a statement, police received a 911 call about an “aided individual” at about 12:40 p.m. ET and found a “73 year-old female unconscious and unresponsive.”
EMS pronounced her dead at the scene, police said, and added that the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Shortly after the death was announced, Ivana’s philandering ex-husband posted this on his Truth Social site:
“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”
Not long after that posting, the former president’s Save America PAC used his statement to try and raise money, as Andrea Mitchell of NBC News noted:
The man’s first wife is not even in the ground yet and he’s already trying to make a buck off her passing.
It’s tempting to say that this is a new low for the Donald, but it isn’t. Instead, it’s just the latest lowering of the bar that he himself repeatedly nudges down a few more inches as his most fanatical supporters swoon and reach for their credit and debit cards.
Donald Trump is one of the most disgusting and horrible people to ever slither across the face of the planet. He deserves whatever karma has waiting for him.
