WATCH: Jamie Raskin Humiliates Lauren Boebert By Quoting Donald Trump

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) masterfully countered lies told by Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado during a House Oversight Committee hearing, and he did it by using the words of Boebert’s political lord and savior, disgraced ex-president Donald Trump.

Boebert went on an extended rant during the hearing, criticizing mask and vaccine mandates:

“You’re right. President Trump was in office when the COVID virus was released from a lab in China. And he tried to make that very clear that this came from China, and reporters regularly dismissed that.”

There’s just one ENORMOUS problem with Boebert’s “facts” regarding Trump and China during the COVID crisis: They don’t reflect what actually happened or what the failed former president said at the time, as Raskin quickly reminded his Republican colleague.

“I appreciate the gentlelady’s passion. There’s two facts that she should perhaps be alerted to. One is that Donald Trump, on more than 20 different occasions, defended the performance of the Chinese government and specifically President Xi in terms of his treatment of COVID-19 and said he was doing a ‘wonderful job’ and a ‘great job’ and they were working closely and they were constantly in touch.

“So, if there’s a problem with the Chinese government unleashing a virus ― which has not been proven anywhere, but it certainly could be true ― you would have to pin that on your favorite president, Donald Trump, not on Joe Biden.”

Raskin also noted that Trump’s own top adviser on COVID, Dr. Deborah Birx, admitted in her book that her former boss and his feckless policies on the virus led to hundreds of thousands of deaths.

“So you don’t have to believe anybody on the Democratic side of the aisle. That’s Donald Trump’s own special adviser on COVID-19.”

Game, set, and match Jamie Raskin.

Trump Attacks Female Journalist As ‘Dumb As A Rock’ – Her Clapback Is Hilarious

Failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump is furious with Olivia Nuzzi of New York magazine for her report on him and his 2024 campaign for the GOP presidential nomination, which insiders report consists of the disgraced ex-president playing golf and little else.

“He just goes, plays golf, comes back, and fucks off. He has retreated to the golf course and to Mar-a-Lago… His world has gotten much smaller. His world is so, so small.”

Another told Nuzzi that Trump is terrified of no longer being relevant:

“He doesn’t have anything else to do… What else can he do? Why did he see Kanye? He wants to be relevant and wants the limelight. He’s thirsty.”

That report clearly triggered Donald, who took to his failing Truth Social site and viciously attacked Nuzzi, writing:

“The Fake & Corrupt News is only getting worse! As an example, I agreed to do a short telephone interview for a once very good, but now on its ‘last legs’ and failing, New York Magazine. The reporter was a shaky & unattractive wack job, known as ‘tough’ but dumb as a rock, who actually wrote a decent story about me a long time ago. Her name, Olivia Nuzzi. Anyway, the story was Fake News, her ‘anonymous source’” don’t exist (true with many writers), and I’m happily fighting hard for our GREAT USA!”

Ms. Nuzzi is NOT unattractive, and for Trump to refer to someone else as a “wack job” is the height of both hypocrisy and irony, which is always the case whenever Donald attacks someone’s looks or intelligence. It’s classic psychological projection on his part because he knows he’s an obese, balding, 76-year-old man who allegedly has to pay women hundreds of thousands of dollars to even agree to look at him without his clothes on.

It would have been easy for Nuzzi to point all of that out in her response to Trump’s posting. Instead, she used two photos we all remember seeing during the solar eclipse on August 21, 2017, which the then-president viewed from the Truman Balcony at the White House.

Game, set, and match Olivia Nuzzi. Mic drop.

Dense Boebert Admits She Needs At Least 5 Days To Read One Piece Of Legislation

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is not very bright. After all, she needed three attempts before she was finally able to pass the GED exam, which she tries to spin as a positive thing, suggesting that she got a lot more education by having kids at a young age and marrying a man who got caught flashing his penis at underage girls in a bowling alley.

And now Boebert is admitting she’s so intellectually challenged that she needs at least five days to read any legislation before she can vote on it, posting this video online:

Granted, bills should indeed be read, but does it take five days to do that? Perhaps if Ms. Boebert spent less time on Twitter and making appearances on right-wing podcasts, she’d have more time to sit down and actually do her damn job.

Also, if the job is too tough for Lauren, then why in the hell is she running for reelection? Probably because her beloved gun-totin’-themed restaurant, Shooters Grill, has now closed and she needs the money and benefits a government job provides.

But wait a minute! Isn’t Boebert one of those “small government” right wingers who thinks we need to cut back on everything? Apparently that only applies to others, because she damn sure insists on getting paid, courtesy of taxpayers, naturally.

Five days to read legislation? What good will that do when Bobo can’t even prove that she knows how to read in the first place?

Melania Asked If She’d Get A Budget And Staff After She Left The White House

Donald and Melania Trump are now Floridians, residing at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

But according to CNN, before her husband left office, the former first lady wanted to know if she could get more goodies and have taxpayers foot the bill for them:

“In mid-November, as President Donald Trump railed against the election results, his wife, first lady Melania Trump publicly agreed with his sentiments. But privately, a handful of days after the final state tally, the first lady tasked an emissary with discreetly finding out what was available to her in terms of budget and staff allocation for post-White House life.”

Budget and staff? Really? Haven’t she and her husband fleeced the Treasury out of enough money already?

The answer to Melania’s query came back quickly:

“The short answer is no. While there are post-presidential perks for such things for the outgoing commander in chief, budgets to set up an official office and staff and cover some travel costs, there is nothing from the government for any first lady, save a paltry $20,000-a-year pension, which is paid out only if her husband dies.”

All of this led to some interesting commentary on Twitter:

As the old saying reminds us, A grifter is always gonna grift.

E. Jean Carroll’s Attorney Has A Warning For Trump That’s Certain To Infuriate Him

Ever since a New York jury found that failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump did indeed sexually assault and defame writer E. Jean Carroll and awarded her $5 million in damages, the disgraced ex-head of state has been lashing out on social media, and that could wind up leading to him being charged with defamation yet again.

Carroll’s attorney, Roberta Kaplan, spoke with Dahlia Lithwick of Slate, and she made it clear that Trump had best shut his trap and stop making inflammatory postings.

Lithwick asked Kaplan about Trump’s disgusting comments during his CNN town hall, where he called Carroll a “wack job,” said the trial had been a “rigged deal,” and asked the studio audience, “What kind of a woman meets somebody, and brings them up, and within minutes you’re playing hanky panky in a dressing room?”

Kaplan replied, “I knew he would continue to deny it. But once the jury came back and the CNN Town Hall was on, we knew they were going to ask about it. And we knew he wasn’t going to say, ‘OK, now I admit it, I was wrong.”

She added:

“I’m so sorry E. Jean, that I did that to you. We knew that wasn’t gonna happen. I think I was a little stunned that he used exactly the same language. He basically repeated the defamation in ways that make it very easy for us to not have to prove a future case on the merits, because we’re gonna get what’s called collateral estoppel or issue preclusion. So that wasn’t maybe wisest thing for him to do.”

“I’m watching to see if he keeps doing it, though. I mean, I think the threat of [losing] more and more money may ultimately tone down what he says at some point,” Kaplan explained.

Though he’s clearly ignorant when it comes to the law, Kaplan noted, he understands what it means to be on the hook for a $5 million judgment.

“I think he understands money. One thing Donald Trump understands is money, and $5 million for Donald Trump is not nothing. And there’s really no viable appellate argument. So he’s going to have to pay that $5 million with interest sooner than he thinks he’s gonna have to pay it. He’ll have to pay interest from the time of the judgment. Yeah. That’s 9 percent … I’m not even sure he’s got $5 million in liquidity. He may have to sell something to pay you the $5 million.”
