In a move that surprised absolutely no one, former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced this morning that she has decided to leave the Democratic Party.
Gabbard made her declaration in a video and series of tweets in which she explained her decision.
I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party – which is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness. The Democrats of today divide us by racializing every issue, stoking anti-white racism, and are actively working to undermine our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution.
The Democrats of today are hostile to people of faith and spirituality. They demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans. The Democrats of today believe in open borders and weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents. Above all else, the Democrats of today are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.
Safe to say the reaction by the vast majority of Democrats (probably 99.9%) is, Good riddance to bad Russian trash.
After all, this is the very same Tulsi Gabbard who has repeatedly spouted Kremlin talking points and was identified as a Russian asset by Hillary Clinton back in 2019:
“I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians.”
And indeed, Gabbard has been a fervent fan of Russia and it’s murderous leader, Vladimir Putin, who invaded another sovereign nation and is now getting his ass kicked by Ukrainian military forces.
For example, consider this tweet from Gabbard shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine
“This war and suffering could have easily been avoided if Biden Admin/NATO had simply acknowledged Russia’s legitimate security concerns regarding Ukraine’s becoming a member of NATO, which would mean US/NATO forces right on Russia’s border.”
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) said what needed to be said about Gabbard’s departure from the Democratic Party, trolling her and making it clear no one will miss her in the least.
