Since he didn’t participate in Wednesday evening’s GOP presidential debate, failed one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump had plenty of time to post all sorts of crazy shit on his failing Truth Social site.
One thing in particular that Trump shared with the internet was a video of famous movie characters from well-known films watching him speak.
According to Mediaite, some of the movies are staples of American cinema.
It is mashup of clips from famous movies with images of Trump sprinkled in. Among the films included are Apollo 13, Napoleon Dynamite, Quiz Show, Forrest Gump, Pleasantville, and Kill Bill: Vol. 2.
As if that’s not enough, the video also featured Trump standing next to North Korean dictator/murderer Kim Jong-un and shaking hands with Ye (a.k.a. Kanye West) as Ye remarks, “I love this guy right here.”
Before we go any further, you really need to see the video in question, and you can do that here.
What in the hell is that all about? Well, for one thing, it’s clearly a reflection of Trump’s personality. He’s a malignant narcissist, so naturally all those famous movie characters would be watching him speak. After all, he’s so enthralling that they simply couldn’t help themselves.
But the Trump-Hollywood mashup is also an indictment of what Trump stands for: Himself. He doesn’t give a damn about anything other than trying to remain relevant and out of prison, even if that means burning down the American republic.
