Donald Trump is, without question, one of the most loathsome and objectionable human beings to ever run for the highest office in the land, but even he seemed to be taken aback last night when Fox host Bill O’Reilly went on a strange rant while the two were discussing how Trump would bring jobs to the African-American community. O’Reilly asked:
“How are you going to get jobs for them? Many of them are ill-educated and have tattoos on their foreheads, and I hate to be generalized about it but it’s true. If you look at all the educational statistics, how are you going to give jobs to people who aren’t qualified for jobs?”
Trump, of course, has no actual plan for anything other than how to enrich himself at the expense of others, so he slipped into Platitude Mode and replied:
“We’re gonna bring jobs back. We’re gonna have Apple computers made in this country.”
O’Reilly then told Trump:
“But you have to have skills to make Apple computers.”
The GOP front-runner again leaned on a vague promise:
“We will get the skills and we will develop the skills. We have an incredible population and they don’t have the jobs.”
After listening to O’Reilly last night, I’ve come to a conclusion: If Trump is seriously looking for a candidate to run as his Vice President who will be as universally disliked and divisive as him, he should consider asking Bill O’Reilly. He may be the only person other than David Duke who can match Trump when it comes to racism and xenophobia.
