Bigot-in-Chief Donald Trump frequently brags that he’s the “least racist person” in the world, but as the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words.
The White House held an event this week to celebrate Black History Month, which is surprising to say the least when you consider that Trump’s administration is probably the whitest in the past half century and features more wealthy white men than the average board meeting of a top Wall Street bank.
Also, the irony of Trump’s administration honoring the contributions of black Americans after he recently signed an executive order banning DEI policies in the federal government cannot possibly be overstated. Trump’s idea of diversity and inclusion is having an African-American man serve canapes at an all-white, invitation-only cocktail party.
Among the guests at the White House Black History event was bodybuilder Phil Heath.
As you can see in the video below, Heath went in for a hug with Trump, only to have Donnie back away as if Heath was about to infect him with some dread disease.
Ironically enough, Trump’s reaction mirrored a moment from the 50th Anniversary Special for “Saturday Night Live” in which actor Tom Hanks played a contestant on “Black Jeopardy” who was afraid to get too close to the black host.
That was all it took for social media to light up with laughter, mockery, and snark.
“Trump was willing to stand up there for a few minutes to pretend to care about black history, but hugging the guy was a deal breaker.”
“They had a FITTTTT when Tom hanks made fun of MAGA ppl by jumping back from a black character…. all for trump to do it in real life”
“Trump said nah that close enough to the Black guy”
“Trump doesn’t want to have to touch any Black people unless they’re really rich & famous or they can be used for a photo op”
