GOP U.S. Senate Viral Video WTF?!

Viral Video Shows Rand Paul Sounding Like He’s Had One Too Many Drinks

It’s a given that Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) is one of the most annoying people to ever serve in the U.S. Senate, and the bad news is he’s running for reelection, as he made clear during a campaign rally back in his home state on Saturday.

The Guardian reports that one of things Paul mentioned at the gathering is that he plans to look into the origins COVID-19 if Republicans retake control of the Senate in November:

“When we take over in November, I will be chairman of a committee and I will have subpoena power,” Paul said. “And we will get to the bottom of where this virus came from.”

The senator, an ophthalmologist before politics, continued to offer his theory about the origins of the virus.

“If you look at the evidence, overwhelmingly, not 100%, but overwhelmingly the evidence points to this virus being a leak from a lab,” Paul said.

But something wasn’t quite right about the way Paul spoke as he was making his remarks, and a video that quickly went viral from the event suggests that he was either half in the bag or on some heavy medication:

Has Rand had a full medical exam lately? Is he suffering from some sort of neurological disorder? Twitter users had some thoughts on the matter.
