Now that we know several members of Congress were part of the plot to install alternate electors who would cast their ballots for failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump despite the fact that he had lost in a landslide to President Joe Biden, speculation has begun as to who those Republicans might be.
One of them, we learned Tuesday from the January 6 House Select Committee, was Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who tried to avoid answering the question of whether or not he’d played any role when asked by reporters Wednesday morning:
And now a video posted by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is setting off speculation that she might also be one of the co-conspirators.
We know that Greene gave tours of the Capitol in the days leading up to Jan. 6, and that brings us to the video she posted online:
No words, no captions, just Greene walking around the tunnels under the U.S. Capitol, which are off-limits to the general public. Is she trying to send some sort of message with the video or just trolling us?
The odd video sent off waves of discussion on Twitter.
