The fallout from Donald Trump’s comments regarding the parents of a Muslim Army Captain who gave his life in service to his country continue, and now even Trump’s hateful, moronic surrogates are attempting to defend him, and they are all winding up with egg on their faces, just like the Orange Menace.
A perfect example of this was provided by Scottie Nell Hughes, a shrill and ignorant Trump zombie went on CNN and tried to explain why exactly Trump had told ABC News:
“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”
Hughes maintained that the editing of the interview with ABC was to blame for making Trump look like the douchenozzle he is and will be until the day he leaves this planet. Hughes commented:
“But now that I’ve read the questions and the Trump campaign and others have released the full transcript, you can see what a set up this is. Which was nothing but to trap Mr. Trump going forward.”
CNN host Victor Blackwell pushed back at Hughes, reminding her that “What would you say to that father?” is in no way a set up and adding that Hughes must have read the transcript incorrectly.
But this is all perfectly typical of Trump and his acolytes, who will lie, double and triple down on that lie, and then try their damnedest to blame it all on someone else. They are worse than little children who break a window and then start pointing at each other when an adult tries to find the culprit. The main difference is that most children are infinitely more intelligent–and moral–than Trump or his sniveling fans could ever possibly be.
