If you thought you’d heard all of the batshit crazy nonsense that the MAGA morons can spew out, a report from PolitiFact makes it clear that those devoted to Donald Trump are still finding new ways to prove just how ignorant they are.
A post on Facebook suggests that Trump has plans to run for Congress from the state of Florida in the 2022 midterm election. And after he wins, Trumpers believe, he’ll replace Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House. The post read:
“Trump can run for Congress in 2022, in FL. If he wins the seat and Republicans take over the House of Representatives, he could become the Speaker of the House. Then, his first act could be impeaching Joe (Biden) and Kamala (Harris). If it works, he finishes out the remainder of Biden’s term and can still run for President in 2024. Wouldn’t that be a hoot!”
First things first: Yes, that is indeed legal and possible, even though your chances of winning the MegaMillions lottery ten times in a row are probably higher.
Yes, Trump can indeed run for Congress in Florida. He can even be elected Speaker of the House if the GOP happens to take control of it in the 2022 midterm. But impeaching the president and vice president when he would need 67 votes in the Senate is beyond ludicrous. Hell, even a guilty as hell Donald Trump didn’t get 67 senators to give him the boot during his unprecedented TWO impeachment trials:
“Essentially, the impeach-and-removal scenario is ‘inconceivable without some new facts, such as Biden and Harris doing something so bad that even Democrats want them out,’ said Brian Kalt, a law professor at Michigan State University.”
The best part of all this, however, is that the Trump fan club actually believes he can still be elected to any office whatsoever with all the baggage he brings to the table. Donald Trump may well be in prison by 2022. And even if he isn’t, does anyone actually think he’s going to seek a House seat when he’s already been president? Donald isn’t exactly fond of having to work his way to the top.
