Trump On Russian Hacking Of Election: ‘Another Excuse For My Massive Landslide’ (VIDEO)

President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday morning on Fox News that he isn’t the least bit worried that the Russian government hacked into American databases in order to swing the election in his favor. Matter of fact, he thinks the whole thing is “ridiculous.”

Asked by Chris Wallace about claims from American intelligence agencies that the Russians had played a role in the election upset, Trump remarked:

“I think it’s ridiculous. I don’t believe it. I don’t know why and I think it’s just — you know, they talked about all sorts of things. Every week it’s another excuse. We had a massive landslide victory as you know in the electoral college.

“Nobody really knows. Hacking is very interesting. Once they hack, if you don’t catch them in the act, you’re not going to catch them. They have no idea if it’s Russia or China or somebody. It could be somebody sitting in a bed someplace.”

Fact check time, Donnie: You did not win a landslide victory in either the electoral or popular vote. Matter of fact, you are behind by nearly 3 million votes in the popular vote count. And as for nobody really knowing, I’m more inclined to believe the CIA and Office of National Intelligence than I am a con man with a smartphone who cannot control himself when it comes to tweeting at all hours of the night and day.

Trump then tried to pretend he was concerned anyone would hack computers in the United States:

“I don’t want anyone hacking us. And I’m not only talking about countries, I’m talking about anyone period. But if you’re going to do that, I think you should not just say Russia, you should say other countries also. And maybe other individuals.”

But all the evidence points to Russia, Donald. Maybe if you bothered to show up for daily intelligence briefings instead of going on a victory tour across the country, you’d be more fully informed. Then again, knowing you, there’s little doubt you’d continue to lie. It’s the only thing you truly excel at.
