No one in the U.S Senate is more universally loathed than Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). Hell, he’s so disliked that he’s been given the title of “Most Hated Senator.” Even his GOP colleagues are said to despise Cruz.
On Wednesday, Cruz proved yet again why he’s less popular than the bubonic plague.
For months now, the Texas senator has been complaining that Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t visited the U.S.-Mexico border, remarking:
“It speaks volumes that Border Czar Harris is still avoiding visiting the southern border.
“She should come to Texas and see the crisis firsthand,”
VP Harris will indeed be visiting the border this Friday, according to the White House, which announced her planned trip to El Paso, Texas:
How did Cruz react to news that the VP is going to the border? He went on Fox News and attacked her for going to El Paso instead of where he wanted her to go:
“She announces that they’re going to El Paso. El Paso is a lovely city, it is a beautiful place in Texas. It is not also — it also doesn’t happen to be the locus of the crisis. … She’s going where the height of the problem isn’t.
“Let me tell you what Kamala needs to do. Kamala, you need to go to the Rio Grande Valley.”
Some assholes are never happy. Especially a Grade A asshole like Ted Cruz.
And if Harris had gone to the Rio Grand Valley, it’s a safe bet Cruz would have whined about that, too. Because he’d rather demagogue everything the way he does with every issue. Cruz is the kind of person who would have complained about Jesus turning water to wine because he’d been expecting bourbon.
Ted Cruz is a hypocrite and an asshole. He just proved that yet again.
