Elections GOP Whining U.S. Senate WTF?!

Ted Cruz Calls Legislation Making It Easier To Vote ‘A Profound Threat To Our Democracy’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has been called “the most hated man in the U.S. Senate.” Reportedly, nearly all of his colleagues despise him and cannot stand to be around him for more than five minutes at a time.

But something Cruz posted on Twitter Thursday could well make the Texas Republican one of the most hated men in the entire United States, because he’s letting us all know that he’s vehemently opposed to legislation that would make it easier for Americans to vote.

You’ve probably heard about the voting rights bill, H.R. 1, which is also known as the John Lewis Voting Rights Act in honor of the late civil rights leader and Georgia congressman. Cruz wants us to believe that it’s going to destroy the American republic.

Cruz tweeted out a video of him speaking with Fox host Maria Bartiromo:

Be sure and make note of what Teddy Boy is claiming: He wants us to believe that expanding the right to vote is a bad thing. Pretty sure that sentiment would have been popular with Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot.

Americans let Ted know they didn’t agree with him in the least:

If Ted Cruz wants to see a real threat to American democracy, he doesn’t need to look any further than the nearest mirror.
