Matt Gaetz Gets Pelted With Mockery When He Favorably Compares Trump To The Taliban

We’ve known for some time now that Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is a complete idiot whose only purpose in life seems to be self-promotion. It’s the Donald Trump school of politics: Always keep your name in the news.

Of course, much of the publicity Gaetz has received in recent months is due to his alleged sexual trafficking of an underage girl, which could send him to prison for the rest of his life.

And yet, Gaetz continues to draw attention to himself, as if desperate to make a complete fool of himself on social media, which he did once again Wednesday after reading an article on a right-wing blog that suggested Twitter was allowing the Taliban to post on the social media site.

That led the congressman to post this tweet:

So Matt Gaetz wants to see the Taliban and Trump on Twitter. And he thinks their “government” is more legitimate than the one that was elected overwhelmingly by the American people last November. Wow! That’s some serious flirting with outright treason.

As for Trump still being banned from Twitter, Gaetz and other Trump acolytes forget that he was repeatedly warned about his postings and ignored those warnings. He violated Twitter’s terms of service, and that’s why he got the boot.

Gaetz, on the other hand, is just a douchebag who loves Trump more than he loves almost anything except underage girls. And he got some serious pushback for his tweet:

Maybe when he gets to prison, Matty can brag to his fellow inmates about how much he loves the Taliban right before they tell him to shut up and put on the dress they gave him.

Wasn’t This Supposed To Be Trump ‘Reinstatement’ Day? Twitter Had Some Thoughts On It

According to Donald Trump’s most devoted (and deranged) acolytes and supporters, today, August 13, 2021, was supposed to be the day that he would be “reinstated” as president.

Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, has been saying ever since January that Trump was going to be magically back in the White House today, but considering that he’s a recovering crackhead, you have to wonder if perhaps he’s been hitting the pipe again.

However, Joe Biden remains president, and Lindell has been walking/running back his ludicrous prediction, saying in July:

“Here’s what I said about a week ago, I said we’re going to live stream to the world on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of August,” he explained about his cyber symposium in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. “But what I said was when you all see what I’ve seen and what I have, the morning of the 13th, you’re going to wake up and go, ‘Wow, what are we going to do?’ Everyone’s going to know it and that’s when we’re going to bring it to the Supreme Court.” Lindell didn’t say “that everything’s going to change the morning of the 13th” (a Friday the 13th, mind you), but “everybody’s going to know what I know.”

Translation: Forget what I said earlier. I was high on pillow fumes and Red Bull. You guys totally misunderstood what I tried to say. I never ever predicted such a thing.

Uh…yeah. OK. Whatever, man.

But the August 13 prediction did manage to produce one tangible bit of good: It resulted in some hilarious postings on Twitter. Take a look:

Oh well, maybe the MAGA morons can schedule another day for their next delusion. Is there anything happening on December 25 that would prevent them from making that Reinstatement Day Part Deux?

Marjorie Taylor Green Blames Her Latest Twitter Suspension On Dr. Fauci, Obama, And Porn

Much like her political idol — failed, one-term, twice-impeached former President Donald Trump — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has a love-hate relationship with Twitter. She desperately needs it to spread her lies and bullshit to her gullible followers, but she hates that the platform has rules (i.e. terms of service) for using their social media network.

Greene just received a seven-day suspension from Twitter for a tweet she sent in which she suggested that vaccines for COVID-19 are “failing” and “do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks.”

Of course, there’s not a shred of truth to Greene’s moronic posting, and Twitter was well within their rights to hand her a suspension. Although, considering that this is Greene’s fourth suspension, they should have made it longer than a week or even booted her off the platform completely. Yeah, some right-wingers would no doubt whine about such a move, but the fewer annoying asshats on Twitter, the better the experience for the rest of us.

Based on what Twitter told CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, Greene is very close to joining Trump and getting a permanent ban from their site:

It might also help if Greene didn’t deliberately spread lies, but of course that’s like (as the old saying goes) asking a bear not to shit in the woods. It simply ain’t gonna happen.

As you’d expect, Greene took the suspension like a two-year-old takes the news that he can’t have ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner: She pitched a fit and put out an absurd statement in which she blamed everyone but herself for having her Twitter account locked for the week.

https://twitter.com/MollyJongFast/status/1425108153100906500?s=20

Let’s see, according to Greene, the real reason she’s so oppressed is because of former President Barack Obama, Dr. Anthony Fauci, immigrants, porn, the trans community, and Chinese Communists.

Wow! That’s a hell of a lot of crazy for one person. And of course it has zero to do with why she can’t tweet for a week. According to her, she’s the victim. Hard to know if she’s really that damn stupid or if willful ignorance is her real problem.

Here’s hoping that Greene will indeed share more lies about COVID very soon and get a permanent ban from Twitter. Life’s too short to have to put up with her crap every time you sign onto social media.

Biden Masterfully Trolls Republicans By Wearing A (GASP!) Tan Suit To Honor Obama

On Friday morning, President Joe Biden appeared before the news media at the White House to make remarks about the latest job creation numbers (which were spectacular; nearly 1 million jobs created in one month!), and the first thing most people focused on was the suit he was wearing:

It was almost seven years ago to the day that former President Barack Obama wore a tan suit and had Republicans freaking out, The Hill recalls:

“Obama sparked controversy in 2014 when he went viral for wearing a tan suit during a press conference addressing the nation on Russia and ISIS.

“His wardrobe of choice shocked several pundits and media outlets, sparking a polarizing conversation on presidential attire.

“Former Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) slammed the choice at the time, saying that suit showed a ‘lack of seriousness.’

‘There’s no way I don’t think any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday,’ he said of the tan suit.”

Biden’s choice of a tan suit is not merely a coincidence, especially since President Obama turned 60 on Wednesday. This was clearly meant to be a jab at anyone who didn’t care for Obama’s tan suit. Call it Biden’s way of putting it back in the faces of the clowns who were so offended by Obama wearing one.

It didn’t take long before social media lit up with kudos for President Biden and his sly sense of humor:

Thank you, Mr. President, for giving us all a hearty chuckle. You are indeed Joe Cool and the Master of Shade.

MTG Has A Paranoid Twitter Meltdown About Rumors She’s About To Be Banned From Social Media

Proving that her understanding of something as ubiquitous as social media is not fully developed, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now accusing the New York Times of conspiring with Twitter to have her banned from the platform.

Greene posted a screenshot of an email she received from Davey Alba, a technology reporter for the Times who specializes in online conspiracy theories and inaccurate postings on social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Alba’s email references a tweet of Greene’s from Wednesday in which she claimed (without any proof) that COVID vaccines are causing miscarriages and other health problems among pregnant women. The email reads:

“Twitter is likely to take enforcement action on Ms. Greene’s account for coronavirus information. It would be her fourth strike, meaning she would have one strike to go before potentially being permanently suspended from the platform. Would Ms. Greene want to respond to this in a statement?”

That led to this bizarre and unhinged reaction from the Georgia congresswoman:

“How would the @nytimes know that my @Twitter account is about to be suspended? My account is NOT suspended. What kind of relationship does the NYT and Twitter have? Do they coordinate suspending people like me and news stories? Is someone paying for that? Why?”

That’s a whole lotta stupid for just one person, and it didn’t take long before others on Twitter began pelting Greene with mockery:
