Caroline Cruz is the 13-year-old daughter of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and based on a video she posted to TikTok, it sounds like she isn’t exactly a fan of her father.
The Dallas Observer reports that Caroline spilled lots of secrets regarding her father and his extremist views with the internet:
In a recent video posted to TikTok, Cruz’s teenage daughter Caroline tells her followers about the pros and cons of being a senator’s kid. On the plus side, she says, she gets to travel and sometimes receives gifts and candy in the mail. Downsides include the fact that security has to shadow her wherever she goes, such as on walks through the neighborhood and to her friends’ houses.
Next, Caroline reveals another, more surprising tidbit.
“A lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance,” Caroline said, “but I really disagree with most of his views.”

Many social media users noted how unhappy Caroline looks in photos of her with her family. Then again, if your dad was #CancunCruz, you’d probably be morose, too.

Caroline also notes in her video that when she wore a crop-top for the Christmas photo shown above, her parents made sure and altered the picture so she wasn’t showing her stomach.
Cruz’s daughter says there are other things she hates about her father being a public figure:
“If I want to go on a walk through the neighborhood or to my friend’s house or something, I have to have two security guards behind me the entire time.”
Additionally, Caroline Cruz reveals that she considers herself to be bisexual, which is certain to enrage her father, who has long been an anti-LGBTQ extremist.
One thing is certain: Caroline Cruz is already a better person than her old man has ever been or ever will be. Good on you, young lady!
