Steve Bannon Gets Masterfully Trolled To His Face During Wednesday Court Appearance

Former Trump administration chief strategist Steve Bannon had to make another court appearance today in the matter of the two contempt of Congress charges that were filed against him by the Justice Department for his refusal to obey a lawful subpoena from the January 6 House Select Committee.

Bannon was trying to get a judge to dismiss those contempt charges, and he spoke with reporters while he was preparing to enter the court, telling them:

“We believe in free and fair and transparent elections! And we’re winning everywhere! This is going to be a massive blowout like 1932. You’re witnessing, right now, a political realignment like 1932. And we will govern for 100 years after we win 100 seats.”

A reporter asked:

“Do you want to govern as a one-party kind of total government? Do you want to destroy the Democratic Party?”

Bannon replied:

“Well, I believe that we will destroy the Democratic Party as a national political institution. A populist uprising of Hispanics, African-Americans and working-class people is before us!”

Yeah, sure thing, traitor.

But the best part of Bannon’s impromptu presser was the man who stood behind him holding a sign that read “FAILED COUP.”

Bannon is under the delusion that he’s still got power and relevance. He doesn’t, and when he’s found guilty and sentenced to federal prison, he’ll have even less.

WATCH: Steve Bannon Is Rendered Speechless When Michele Bachmann Goes On A Rant About The End Times

Former Trump administration chief strategist Steve Bannon was rendered momentarily speechless by former Minnesota GOP Congresswoman Michele Bachmann during an episode of his “War Room: Pandemic” podcast when Bachmann began referring to bizarre theories about the Biblical end of times.

Specifically, Bachmann insisted that what is currently happening in the United States and world is designed to force us into a global government system:

“This is all planned and designed to collapse the United States down that we would be so weakened that we would go into this global government system! It’s unbelievable!”

Weakened? The U.S. is far and away the strongest economic and military force on the globe, so what in the hell is this dingbat yammering about?

Bachmann continued her rant by referring to lecture by a so-called Christian “scholar” who convinced her that everything currently happening in the world is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy:

“This is actually predicted in the Bible, these times that we’re living in! And what I’m seeing is that the Bible is probably the most relevant document on Earth right now because it talks about these times we are living in! It’s uncanny!”

All Bannon could say in response was: “Uncanny.” But if you watch the video, you can tell he doesn’t exactly say it with any real conviction.

You have to be pretty damn crazy to silence a professional conspiracy theorist like Steve Bannon. Apparently, some people truly are too damn wackadoodle to walk among us. Someone needs to drop a net over Michele Bachmann and put her in the looney bin where she belongs.

Steve Bannon Calls Lindsey Graham A ‘MAGA Traitor’ As The GOP Begins To Implode

Former Trump administration adviser Steve Bannon is furious with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and is accusing him of being a traitor to the MAGA movement and failed, one-term former President Donald Trump.

On his “War Room” podcast Wednesday, Bannon referenced remarks made by President Joe Biden that there were five Republican senators who support him but fear saying so because they believe they would face primary challenges from pro-Trump candidates:

“The five traitors — and this is the scumbags and slimeballs you have here in the nation’s capital — he got five Republican senators have told him they agree with what he’s doing. They agree with what he’s doing and they would vote and support him, but they’re afraid of, wait for it, the War Room Posse.”

Bannon then urged the five senators to identify themselves, taking direct aim at Graham:

“Have enough guts to step up and tell us, Lindsey Graham, who you are. We need you guys to step up to the plate, Lindsey Graham!”

Wow! Sounds like the GOP is starting to implode. And with Trump facing the very real possibility of being indicted in New York, Georgia, and by the Justice Department for his role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection, we could see the Republican Party in a full-scale civil war long before the 2022 midterm elections.

Capitol Rioter Plans To Subpoena Bannon, Giuliani, And Trump For Testimony At His Trial

Dustin Thompson was one of the thousands of pro-Trump supporters who showed up in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 and stormed the U.S. Capitol at the urging, he says, of failed, one-term President Donald Trump.

And now, as part of his defense, Thompson and his attorney are planning to subpoena Trump, former White House adviser Steve Bannon, and Rudy Giuliani, who was working as a personal attorney to Trump at the time of the Capitol insurrection.

Kyle Cheney, the Senior legal affairs reporter for Politico, noted on Twitter that Thompson even plans to use the U.S. Marshals Service to serve the subpoenas:

In the filing, Thompson’s attorney argues:

“Considering the significant roles these witnesses play in the legal and political communities, and the evasiveness that some have historically shown in the face of court orders, Defendant submits that appointment of the U.S. Marshals Service is necessary in order to effectuate his right to compulsory process and ensure that the same is accomplished expeditiously.”

That’s certainly a valid point. And it’s almost impossible for Bannon, Giuliani, or Trump to say they played no role in what transpired at the Capitol. We already have evidence from the House Select Committee that suggests the three were instrumental in urging supporters to show up on the 6th and protest the results of the 2020 election, which Trump overwhelmingly lost in both the popular and electoral vote.

Plenty of people on Twitter agreed that Thompson should be allowed to subpoena the three co-conspirators. After all, none of them is doing anything worthwhile or valuable at the moment:

Can you imagine the look on Donald Trump’s face when a U.S. Marshal hands him a subpoena and tells him, “You’ve been served”? Personally, I would gladly pay money to see that.

Roger Stone Tosses Steve Bannon Under The Bus – Claims He Gave ‘The Order’ To Storm The Capitol

Bad news has came out of the internet ether for ex-Trump administration adviser Steve Bannon, who is already facing the prospect of two years in prison for criminal contempt of Congress.

The bolt that hit Bannon was fired by longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone, who let the world know that Bannon was the person responsible for giving “the order” for thousands of people to storm the Capitol on January 6.

According to the Daily Beast, Stone made his allegations on right-wing social media:

Stone, who has long been at odds with Bannon over the latter “testify[ing] falsely” against him during his criminal trial, took to the far-right messaging platform Telegram to suggest Bannon was behind the call to “breach” the Capitol building on Jan 6. “It is highly likely that [Steve] Bannon really gave the order to breach the capital [sic] and maneuvered patriots into dangerous positions,” he wrote. “A neophyte Steve Bannon was willing to try crazy things like this to curry favor with Trump who had a [sic] no interest in Bannon’s bullsh*t.”

Stone also made news a day earlier during an appearance on InfoWars, which is hosted by the clown prince of tinfoil hat-wearing crazies, Alex Jones:

Stone advised Jones, who is currently cooperating with the House committee, not to take the committee’s inquires seriously. Stone added the advice doled out by him was not an effort to “obstruct justice,” but rather “friend to friend” legal advice. Stone didn’t return a Daily Beast request for comment on any evidence he has to back that claim.

 

No matter what happens with Alex Jones or Roger Stone, the very fact that Stone has now accused Bannon of being the one who gave orders on Jan. 6 for the Capitol to be attacked must be causing some major grief for Bannon and his attorneys.

There could be more damaging information coming in the weeks ahead from other witnesses who will be appearing before the House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection. All of that evidence can be passed along to the Justice Department and could lead to more criminal charges against Bannon.

Of course, there is a way Bannon could alleviate the legal jeopardy he faces: By testifying against others (including Donald Trump) who were part of the conspiracy to delay the counting of electoral votes.
