Trump Tells Hannity He Declassified Documents With His Mind: ‘By Thinking About It’

Disgraced, failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump has a new excuse for why he violated the law by hoarding thousands of classified and top secret documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida: He telepathically declassified all of them with his mind, “by thinking about it.”

In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity that aired Wednesday evening, Trump was asked:

“A president has the power to declassify. You have said on Truth Social a number of times you did declassify. Is there a process? What was your process?”

The ex-president replied:

“There doesn’t have to be a process as I understand it. If you’re the president of the United States, you can declassify just by saying, ‘It’s declassified,’ even by thinking about it because you’re sending it to Mar-a-Lago or wherever you’re sending it. And there doesn’t have to be a process. There can be a process but there doesn’t have to be. You’re the president. You make that decision. So when you send it, it’s declassified. I declassified everything.”

That is complete and total bullshit, as former White House counsel for ethics Norm Eisen noted on CNN:

“There’s no indication that Trump actually ever declassified these documents. The reason [Trump’s] lawyers have never said in a court filing that the documents were declassified is because they would be subject to penalties themselves, ethics penalties, penalties of the court if they said something that isn’t true.”

And former Trump White House communications director Stephanie Grisham explained that there is indeed a process for declassifying the sort of materials Trump had in his possession:

“You don’t just say the words, ‘These are now declassified,’ and it’s done. There is a process. And more importantly, people, agencies would need to be told. The CIA, the DOJ, the FBI, the people who have sources and methods out there. They would need to know that, ‘Hey, these documents are suddenly declassified,’ so that they can move those sources around.”

Twitter users had some thoughts on the idea of using mental telepathy to change things from top secret to copacetic.

Hannity Accidentally Condemns Trump By Listing The 30+ Crimes That Could Send Him To Prison

In a desperate attempt to defend failed, one-term, twice-impeached former president Donald Trump on his show Monday evening, Fox News host Sean Hannity only succeeded in humiliating himself and the Donald as he ran through the 30+ investigations and crimes of the ex-president that could result in serious prison time if he’s convicted.

Mediaite notes that Hannity kicked off his show by suggesting that Democrats were obsessed with investigating Trump:

“Instead of trying to fix the economy or dare talk about it, or the border, or the fentanyl or opioid crisis, or the crime crisis, Democrats have been wasting all of their time and billion dollars of your taxes with one investigation after investigation into all things Donald Trump,” Hannity said. “This has been going on now for years.”

But the graphic Hannity ran as he railed against Trump being under the microscope for his alleged wrongdoings severely undercut the message he was attempting to convey.

The list, as you’ll see in the video, was voluminous, and yet the Fox host added this kicker:

“After all of this, Trump hasn’t been charged with any crime whatsoever, and they are trying hard, but there has been nothing. That’s because the partisan Democrats in charge of all of these witch hunts, they’re not investigating crimes. They’re investigating a person in a blatant attempt to smear, slander, destroy him and destroy his supporters. It’s the old Soviet Union saying: ‘show me the man, I’ll find you the crime.’ Except, they haven’t actually found a crime yet, so I guess they’ll make that up too.”

It didn’t take long before Twitter users mocked Hannity for doing more harm than good in his efforts to rescue his political savior.

Sean Hannity Tells The MAGA Faithful: ‘Constitutionally’ Trump Can Run For President From Prison

Question of the Day: If you’re Donald Trump, how do you know when you’re complete screwed and likely facing time in jail?

Answer: When Fox News host Sean Hannity starts trying to reassure the MAGA faithful that the U.S. Constitution doesn’t say a person can’t run for president from prison.

That’s what Hannity told listeners to his radio show Friday, according to Media Matters, which reports that Hannity had this to say:

“What do you think the next thing that happens here is, do you think that they would try and indict the former president in the hopes of convicting him and having him in jail at the time of the next election to prevent him from running?

“Because a conviction by the way, constitutionally, would not prevent him from running for office.”

Maybe not, but it would damn sure prevent him from actually serving as president, which would raise issues of its own.

Hannity added:

“You know, this code that is being cited by Marc Elias and all these other people negates the very enumerated qualifications in the Constitution, and the specific requirements for somebody not to be eligible to run, and that would be impeachment and conviction. It doesn’t mention anything about being, you know, maybe not following every single dotted i and crossed t in the Presidential Records Act of the National Archives Act.”

Here’s a prediction I would gladly wager as much as $1,000 on: If Donald Trump is indicted, convicted, and imprisoned before the 2024 presidential election and the GOP is dumb enough to nominate him, he’ll lose by the largest margin in U.S. electoral history.

WATCH: Eric Trump Appears On The Verge Of Tears As He Tells Hannity About The FBI Raid On Mar-a-Lago

Just hours after the FBI served a search warrant on former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf club and residence in Palm Beach, Florida, Eric Trump showed up on Sean Hannity’s show to whine, appearing on the verge of tears as he spoke to the Fox News host.

The Daily Beast notes that Hannity let Eric go uninterrupted as he bemoaned the fact that justice had finally caught up with his daddy:

“Sean, this didn’t come from the little local FBI field office in Palm Beach, Florida. You know who this came from. This came from one place and one building, and that is the White House in Washington, D.C.”

Actually, it came from a federal judge and the Justice Department as part of an ongoing investigation of top secret documents the ex-president removed from the White House and took with him to Florida in direct violation of federal law.

Eric continued:

“To have 30 FBI agents—actually more than that—descend on Mar-a-Lago, give absolutely no notice, go through the gates, start ransacking an office, ransacking a closet… they broke into a safe. He didn’t even have anything in the safe. I mean, give me a break. And this is coming from, what, the National Archives?”

If Donald didn’t have anything in the safe, then he has nothing to worry about. But as we’ve learned when it comes to the Trump family, what they say is almost always the opposite of what actually happened.

As you’d expect, Eric also tried to deflect by using the name of Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son:

“And yet Hunter Biden, he did firearms crimes, prostitution, illegal drugs, you know, shady deals with everybody around the world. And by the way, it’s all in his laptop for the whole world to see. Where are these FBI agents? Where is everybody? Why is it that the arrows only fly at Donald Trump and his family? Why is it that the political persecution only goes one way in this country?

“When do you give up? When do you say enough is enough? When do you give a human being who fought so hard for this country—when do you give them the benefit of the doubt?”

Fought so hard for this country? Donald Trump claimed to have “bone spurs” when he was called to serve in Vietnam. He has never done anything for anyone other than himself because he’s a grifter, a liar, a traitor, and a coward.

Cry some more, Eric. Your tears are delicious.

WATCH Fox’s Jennifer Griffin Call Out Sean Hannity For Spreading Russian Propaganda

Fox News host Sean Hannity got fact-checked to his face Wednesday evening when he tried to spread Russian propaganda about the United States having built “biowarfare” labs in Ukraine, which forced Vladimir Putin to launch an invasion of the country.

Specifically, Hannity referenced Soviet-era bioweapons research labs that were constructed in Ukraine, remarking that “we never got clarity” about what became of those facilities:

“Jennifer, but we do know that Victoria Nuland admitted that labs existed. What exactly they’re for, we never got clarity on, correct?”

That’s when Fox Pentagon correspondent Jennifer Griffin called Hannity out for being duped into parroting Russian lies:

“Well, we do have clarity, I have a fact sheet—that’s what I was just reading—from the Pentagon. It is a long program that has existed where the Pentagon has partnered with these biolabs. These were Soviet-era labs that—remember the Nunn-Lugar Bill and trying to deal with proliferation when the Soviet Union ended—that is part of this effort to try to clean up those Soviet-era labs and make sure that nothing escapes from those labs. And so the U.S. has been very open about its involvement there with that. But what Russia does is they take that information, distort it, turn it around, and turn it into disinformation, and that is what has U.S. government officials concerned.”

This is just the most recent instance of Griffin pushing back on lies being broadcast by Fox hosts who seem bound and determined to take the side of Russia, ABC News notes:

Griffin, who has reported for Fox News Channel since 1996, has attracted attention over the past two weeks as she has publicly corrected or contradicted several Fox analysts and hosts on the air about the crisis in Ukraine. When Tucker Carlson suggested this week that some reporters are acting as flacks for the Pentagon, some interpreted that as a criticism of his colleague.
