Nancy Pelosi Has The Perfect Clapback To Republicans Who Want To Regulate Women’s Bodies

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has had more than enough of Republicans trying to control what American women can do with their bodies, and she’s making it clear that she isn’t going to sit idly by and let the GOP continue to attack the rights of women in the United States.

At her daily press conference, the Speaker was asked about Republicans in Congress making speeches on the House floor in which they reference her. She replied:

“We’re not going to negotiate a woman’s right to choose. What are you going to negotiate? Whether a woman can have contraception? Is that cause for negotiation? Whether people can have birth control? A little bit here. A little bit there. Yes or no? Look, you’re in my wheelhouse now because I had five children in six years and one week. God blessed us with that, and Republicans have said on the House floor Nancy Pelosi thinks she knows more about having babies than the Pope. Yes, I do, and I think other popes would agree…That’s what we’re talking about. Respect freedom of reproductive health.”

Men have no right telling women what they can do with their bodies. How do you suppose Republican men would feel if they were suddenly told they had to have mandatory vasectomies if they weren’t fathers by the age of 40? Or how would those same men like being told they can’t have sex without the approval of the state legislature?

The government should never get into private matters that are between a woman and her doctor. If we’re going to open that door and demand that women be subjected to a different standard, then we might just as well go ahead and declare that no one has any rights so the world can know we’ve become a nation of tyranny.

Nancy Pelosi Claps Back At The Archbishop Who Denied Her Communion For Being Pro-Choice

Last Friday, the Most Rev. Salvatore J. Cordileone, the Catholic Church’s archbishop in San Francisco, announced that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would no longer be allowed to receive Holy Communion because she’s a supporter of a woman’s right to choose.

In a letter he sent to Speaker Pelosi, Archbishop Cordileone wrote:

As you have not publically repudiated your position on abortion, and continue to refer to your Catholic faith in justifying your position and to receive Holy Communion, that time has now come. Therefore, in light of my responsibility as the Archbishop of San Francisco to be “concerned for all the Christian faithful entrusted to [my] care” (Code of Canon Law, can. 383, §1), by means of this communication I am hereby notifying you that you are not to present yourself for Holy Communion and, should you do so, you are not to be admitted to Holy Communion, until such time as you publicly repudiate your advocacy for the legitimacy of abortion and confess and receive absolution of this grave sin in the sacrament of Penance.

That led the Speaker to note on MSNBC that the Archbishop is a hypocrite because he has never told a politician who supports the death penalty that he or she cannot take communion:

“I wonder about the death penalty, which I’m opposed to. So is the church, but they take no actions against people who may not share their view.”

The Catholic Church (like so many supposedly “Christian” religions which claim to be based on the teachings of Jesus) has tried to make women second class citizens for centuries. Women are only good for procreation and raising children while also being fully obedient to their husbands, the church, and the government.

That, however, isn’t religion. It’s slavery. And it’s wrong, no matter how you slice it.

Madison Cawthorn Accuses Nancy Pelosi Of Suffering From ‘Alcoholism’ (She Doesn’t Drink)

A couple of days ago, it seemed that North Carolina Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn had reached the lowest of the lows when he called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a “thug” and asserted that Ukraine is “incredibly corrupt and is incredibly evil and has been pushing woke ideologies.”

Now, however, Cawthorn has been caught on video accusing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of being an alcoholic, despite the fact that Pelosi abstains from all alcohol.

According to Mediaite:

“Rules for thee but not for me I guess is Nancy Pelosi’s, that’s Nancy Pelosi’s campaign slogan,” said Cawthorn at a recent campaign event. “I’ll tell you I have to work with her every single day so please do pray for me. The theories of alcoholism are very true and it’s very sad.”

The good news is that Cawthorn may not be in Congress much longer, as legal challenges have been filed that could keep him off the ballot due to his participation in the January 6 Capitol insurrection, as CNN reported earlier today:

A federal appeals court is expected to decide soon whether to revive a longshot challenge against GOP Rep. Madison Cawthorn’s candidacy, which revolves around whether the Constitution’s ban on insurrectionists holding office should apply to him.

The liberal activists, legal scholars and anti-Trump Republicans who oppose Cawthorn asked the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals to step in and revive their challenge that was shut down earlier this month by a lower-court judge. Cawthorn spoke at then-President Donald Trump’s January 6, 2021, rally and posted militant tweets in the run-up to the attack.

North Carolina will hold its primary election on May 14, but it remains unclear if the appellate court will issue a ruling or kick the issue down the road.

However, plenty of people on Twitter were eager to give Cawthorn a dose of his own medicine for his disgusting attack on the Speaker.

Nancy Pelosi Dunks On Trump After SCOTUS Refuses To Let Him Hide Jan. 6 Documents

Earlier today, the United States Supreme Court ruled against failed, twice-impeached, one-term former President Donald Trump.

CNN reported:

“The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that it will not take up former President Donald Trump’s case challenging the disclosure of his White House documents to the House January 6 investigation, a formal conclusion to his unsuccessful bid to keep those records secret. The court had previously rejected Trump’s emergency request to block the National Archives from turning over the materials while the court considered whether to take up the case. The documents Trump was trying to block in court are already in the hands of the House Select Committee investigating January 6.”

Trump now has no further recourse and cannot withhold any documents or other information from the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection.

Shortly after the high court refused to take up the case, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued a statement that’s certain to enrage the ex-president:

“Today, the Supreme Court made resoundingly clear that no one is above the law – not even a former president who incited a deadly insurrection.

“By again rejecting the former president’s attempts to hide documents related to January 6th, the Court’s decision is a victory for the truth, for the rule of law and for the American people. Reviewing these documents is essential to gaining a full picture of the events leading up to, during and after the January 6th attack on our Democracy. Now that the Court has ended the former president’s unlawful and dangerous campaign to hide the truth from the American people, the House’s Select Committee to Investigate January 6th will continue its laser focus on finding the truth of that dark day and ensuring it never happens again.”

Everywhere he turns, Trump is losing in court He has to sit for a deposition in the civil case brought against him by New York Attorney General Letitia James and still facing the prospect of criminal charges in Manhattan and Georgia.

Nancy Pelosi Reveals How She Now Refers To Trump – And It’s Perfect

During an appearance at the University of Cambridge in the UK recently, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi didn’t pull her punches as she discussed the current state of the Republican Party and its unending devotion to Donald Trump, a man who will likely go down in history as the worst president in U.S. history.

Pelosi began by talking about the GOP, Newsweek notes:

“I say to my Republican friends—and I do have some—take back your party, you’re the grand old party of America, you’ve done wonderful things for our country. You’re now being hijacked by a cult that is just not good for our country.

“Take back your party, don’t let it be dominated by those who want to suppress the vote because they have no positive message to win, they want to suppress the vote and that’s how they would win.”

The House Speaker added that today’s Republicans seem determined to ignore the fact that the vast majority of Americans support a woman’s right to make her own reproductive choices and requiring background checks to purchase a gun:

“Take back your party so it’s more of a reflection of Republicans in the country than allegiance to the former president [Trump] and one of the ways we can help improve that situation would be to pass H01, which would have redistricting in a way, that is again agnostic, along the lines of a voting rights act. It may not benefit Democrats, but it may benefit the country because it would make Republican districts more open to people other than the ones that are in Congress now.”

Asked for the thoughts on Trump, she said she rarely talks about him anymore, but did get one zinger in that’s certain to enrage the ex-president:

“I reference him from time to time with ‘what’s-his-name.’”

She then attached this addendum to the subject of Trump:

“If he wants to run again, he’ll be the first president who was impeached twice and defeated twice.”

That line drew tremendous applause from the audience, and it’s only a matter of time before the failed, one-term loser POTUS will feel a need to respond.

Here’s the video:
