As extreme winter weather grips much of the United States, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) thought it was the perfect to remind us that she needed multiple tries to pass the GED exam because her knowledge of meteorology and science is so miniscule that she cannot help but prove her ignorance whenever she tries to make one of snarky fact-free remarks.
On Sunday, Boebert posted this on Twitter/X:
How’s that for ignorance?
As NASA has noted on the subject of climate change and weather, the two are not the same:
Some people say “weather is what you get” and “climate is what you expect.” In a nutshell, “weather” refers to the more local changes in the climate we see around us, on short timescales from minutes to hours to days to weeks. Examples are familiar – rain, snow, clouds, winds, storms, heat waves and floods. “Climate” refers to longer-term averages (they may be regional or global), and can be thought of as the weather averaged over several seasons, years or decades. Climate change is harder for us to get a sense of because the timescales involved are much longer, and the impact of climate changes can be less immediate.
But trying to explain scientific facts to a willfully ignorant dunce like Ms. Boebert is a losing proposition. Despite that, plenty of social media users were only too happy to point out just how thoroughly the Colorado Republican had just owned herself.
Controversial Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R) is once again in the headlines, this time for allegedly striking her ex-husband, Jayson, and is under police investigation for the crime of domestic violence.
Roger Sollenberger of The Daily Beast reports the incident took place in a Colorado restaurant on Saturday evening.
The Silt Police Department confirmed an “active investigation” in a phone call Saturday night, but would not comment further. A Boebert aide told The Daily Beast that no one was arrested.
According to the aide, on Saturday, Jayson Boebert had called the police to the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt, claiming that he was a “victim of domestic violence.” The aide emphasized that Lauren Boebert denies any allegation of domestic violence on her part, and that the events as depicted in social media posts on Saturday were not accurate.
The social media reports referenced were first made via posts from the anti-Boebert Super PAC “American Muckrakers,” who spelled out exactly what is alleged to have taken place between the Boeberts.
Boebert’s reference to “moving” is her plan to change districts so the she can more easily win reelection.
An aide to the congresswoman attempted to downplay the incident, but also provided some interesting details regarding what her boss alleges happened.
In the early evening on Saturday, the aide said, it was already getting physical. Lauren Boebert had driven to her ex-husband’s house to pick up one of her sons for dinner at her mother’s house. Jayson Boebert was home, the aide said, and as Lauren Boebert and her son were leaving for the car, he tried to move in close to hug her; she put her hand on his chest to keep him back, the aide said.
As Lauren Boebert described it, the aide said, she tried again to keep him back and in the process “put her hand in his face, put her hand on his nose.”
The aide also alleges that Jayson Boebert was “being disrespectful,” “being an asshole,” and getting “lewd.”
The ex-husband sounded contrite, telling a reporter:
“I made a mistake. We both overreacted. I only want what’s best for [the] boys and I still love her very much. We both share some hurt deep down inside … It seems we just keep pushing each other further apart.”
“I want the best for her,” he added. “It’s probably just best that I remain silent.”
What neither of the Boeberts bothered to explain is that this is simply how white trash acts. Granted, it’s ugly and makes most people cringe in revulsion, but you can’t expect any better from lowlifes.
Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert wants us to believe that reason she recently had to change congressional districts is because Hollywood celebrities like Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds.
Business Insider reports that Boebert made her comments during an appearance on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast.
“We have to shut down the Hollywood elites who are trying to buy my current district,” Boebert began, adding:
Next came mention of Streisand and Reynolds.
Boebert made similar comments in November, posting on Twitter/X:
According to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Streisand and Reynolds have each donated $1,500 to help defeat Boebert.
Just last week, Boebert formally announced she would be running in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. It’s considered to be more conservative than the 3rd District which she currently represents.
Additionally, Boebert’s Democratic opponent in District 3, Adam Frisch is dramatically outpacing her in fundraising, which is the key to a successful campaign.
Frisch raised a staggering $7.7 million, according to FEC reports. Boebert has only been able to muster $2.4 million in political contributions.
Having seen her poll numbers continue to fall and sensing that she is toast in the 2024 election, controversial Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert announced Wednesday that she will be switching districts in a desperate attempt to win another two-year term in the House of Representatives.
HuffPost reports that Boebert made the announcement via a video posted on Facebook.
Boebert implied in the video that her departure from the district would help Republicans retain the seat, saying, “I will not allow dark money that is directed at destroying me personally to steal this seat. It’s not fair to the 3rd District and the conservatives there who have fought so hard for our victories.”
“We have to protect our majority in the House,” she said.
Boebert’s sudden shift to another district comes just three months after a self-inflicted humiliation in which she was caught on video groping her date at a theater production of “Bettletjuice” in Denver. The congresswoman and her acquaintance were booted from the theater for their behavior. She later offered a non-apology apology and saw her poll numbers plummet among likely voters.
The congresswoman made reference to the theater incident in her Wednesday post, noting, “I’ve made my own personal mistakes and have owned up and apologized for them.”
That apology, however, clearly wasn’t enough to convince voters in her district that she could be trusted to represent them, and her change of location means she’ll probably win reelection, as the new district is the Colorado’s most conservative.
However, Boebert still faces the lingering stench of her own detestable public behavior and highly controversial stances on issues such as abortion, immigration, and the federal budget.
President Joe Biden had a laugh at the expense of Colorado Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert during an interview on a progressive podcast, suggesting that the controversial Boebert doesn’t give much thought to the patently ridiculous things she says before she spouts off.
Speaking with Ben Meiselas of the anti-Trump Meidas Touch PAC, Biden was shown remarks Boebert made about the Inflation Reduction Act.
Meiselas told the president:
“We’re at the CS Wind turbine factory, the largest wind turbine factory in the world.”
“You were talking about the Inflation Reduction Act and jobs being brought to cities and communities across the United States of America and here in Pueblo. And the MAGA Republican representative, though, of Pueblo, Colorado, is MAGA Republican Lauren Boebert, and she gives the alternative position there on the Inflation Reduction Act.
“And she says that the Inflation Reduction Act is a massive failure. And she said that it is another con by the Democrats. If I can. I want to show you a video of MAGA Republican Lauren Boebert talking. I apologize in advance for even showing this to you.”
Cue the video of Boebert, railing on the House floor: “And it does the exact opposite of what Americans need right now! This is just another con game by the Democrats calling something one thing.”
That led Biden to comment:
The president added:
The latest polls from Boebert’s district suggest she’s in big trouble come November, as her challenger, Adam Frisch, is raising tons of campaign money and polling well against the incumbent. Here’s hoping that means Boebert will soon be a former member of Congress.
