Jake Tapper Goes Scorched Earth On MT Greene For Her Blatant Anti-Semitism: ‘This Sh*t Is Not A Game’

CNN host Jake Tapper verbally eviscerated Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene on Sunday, suggesting that while was accusing a Democratic House colleague this week of being an anti-Semite, she neglected to examine herself and recall the many anti-Semitic statements she’s made since arriving in Congress.

Speaking at the end of “State of the Union,” Tapper noted that Greene had filed a censure motion against Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for being anti-Semitic, which led him to remark, “The degree to which some folks only pretend to care about anti-Semitism when they can weaponize, it never ceases to amaze.”

“The leading Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump — he dined with Holocaust deniers,” Tapper added. “Donald Trump posted a screed accusing liberal Jews of ‘voting to destroy America and Israel’ last Rosh Hashanah to nary a peep from any House Republican leaders.”

But Tapper was just warming up, and he laid out the full case against Greene, along with the many times she’s proven herself to be opposed to Jews.

“This is the same Marjorie Taylor Greene who has pushed the great replacement theory in videos. The deranged notion that rich Jews are trying to replace White Americans and Westerners with Blacks and brown Muslims. Not to mention, of course, her Jewish space laser conspiracy that a consortium including, yes, wealthy Jews, were using lasers on satellites to start forest fires here in Israel.”

“Anti-Semitism is not a cudgel to be used against people for political points,” Tapper concluded. “Nor is Islamophobia or racism, or anti-gay behavior or misogyny or any other kind of bigotry.”
“This shit is not a game.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a dangerous bigot and ideologue who needs to be booted from Congress and put on trial for her role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

WATCH Jake Tapper Swat Down Nikki Haley When She Tries To Blame House GOP Disarray On Biden

2024 Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley tried to blame the chaos taking place inside the House Republican caucus when it comes to electing a new speaker on President Joe Biden and was promptly swatted down by CNN host Jake Tapper Sunday morning.

During the interview with Haley, Tapper correctly noted:

“This is nearly two weeks after Kevin McCarthy was stripped of his leadership. They still can’t even pass a resolution condemning the Hamas attacks. It’s starting to look like there is not one House Republican who can get 217 votes.”

“Republican Congressman Austin Scott said the chaos quote makes us look like a bunch of idiots, unquote. Is he right?”

Haley replied, “Well, I’ll tell you what’s right is under the Biden administration, we’ve seen chaos with inflation.”

Tapper interrupted to interject, “You can’t blame that on Biden. You can’t blame this on Biden. No, you can’t.”

Haley:

“Well, you have to let me finish. We have seen chaos with inflation. We’ve seen chaos with the lack of transparency and education. We’ve seen chaos on the border. We’ve seen chaos with crime on the streets. And now we’re seeing chaos around the world.”

“What I’m saying is you can’t fix Democrat chaos with Republican chaos. America looks so distracted right now. When America is distracted, the world is less safe. We can’t sit there and act like this is September 10th.”

Republicans are in chaos, cannot elect a speaker, and are on the verge of possibly nominating a man with 91 criminal charges pending against him as their standard bearer in the 2024 presidential election.

But it’s all Biden’s fault.

Nice try, Nikki, but no one is buying your bullshit and you just proved to the world why you will never ever be president either.

Jake Tapper Asks Mike Pence: Did You Betray Your Faith By Defending Trump’s ‘Ungodly’ Actions?

CNN host Jake Tapper confronted former vice president Mike Pence on Sunday, asking if he thought he betrayed his faith with his willingness to defend and justify the actions of his ex-boss, Donald Trump.

Quoting comments from Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), who told the Atlantic he didn’t understand how Pence could excuse the things Trump did and said, Tapper asked:

“The profile appeared in the Atlantic where Republican Senator Mitt Romney is quoted saying that when it comes to your actions as Donald Trump’s vice president nobody had been quote ‘More willing to smile when he saw absurdities, more willing to ascribe God’s will to things that were ungodly than Mike Pence,’ unquote.”

“What do you say to that, do you think you used your faith to justify ungodly things as vice president, as Mitt Romney believes?”

Clearly perturbed by Romney’s remarks, Pence replied:

“Look, Mitt Romney has no idea what I was doing in the administration,” Pence said. “I haven’t talked to Mitt Romney for years.”

“And I think he can go off into retirement,” he continued. “He’s even critical of his old running mate Paul Ryan in the pages of that book. So I know the stands that we took, I know the stands that we maintained and I’ll always believe that we were called to that fight.”

What “fight” were Trump and Pence called to? The one that resulted in appointing Supreme Court justices who have decided American women don’t have a right to make their own reproductive choices?

Or was the fight to cut taxes for the richest Americans, who, according to Pence’s Bible, have an almost impossible path to heaven?

Or could the real fight be Trump and Pence’s sick desire for power at any cost, no matter how many have to suffer?

Mike Pence is a fake Christian who deserves to spend eternity in the hell he’s so afraid of.

Jake Tapper Calls Bullsh*t On Rick Scott’s Bogus Claim That Joe Biden ‘Cut’ Medicare

Rather than admitting that he wants to dramatically slash spending on Social Security and Medicare, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) is now trying to shift blame for his heartless plan and suggest that others are the ones who have cut the programs.

But CNN anchor Jake Tapper is having none of Scott’s bullshit, and he called him out Thursday on the network, noting the the senator had tried to suggest that Tapper himself had reported Biden cut Medicare by billions of dollars.

Speaking with CNN host Kaitlan Collins, Tapper began:

“You interviewed Senator Scott about his proposal, about the fact he did, in Rescue America, call for all federal legislation to sunset after five years and then it could be brought back up if Congress chooses to do so. Then he started saying that Democrats tried to cut Medicare spending. You pointed out what he was talking about was not a cut. It was allowing Medicare to negotiate for cheaper drugs, and then he tried to use something I said — I was very surprised by this — back in 2017 as his defense to that. Take a listen to this little excerpt.”

In the video clip, Scott remarks:

“Okay, Kaitlan, let me just read you something Jake Tapper said. This is back when Republicans were proposing reducing the cost of Medicaid. He said — Jake Tapper said, ‘I know the Trump Administration is excited that Medicaid will go back to the states where they have more control and can experiment and be more efficient, but without question, $880 billion is a cut.”

That led Tapper to rightly note:

“So, he didn’t include the quote where I talked about that the cut was analyzed by the Congressional Budget Office. Here’s what I actually said back in 2017. So the context here is I was quoting the CBO on its analysis for a proposal from Medicaid, and I was asking the Health and Human Services secretary, Tom Price, how that cut as, defined by CBO, didn’t violate Trump’s campaign promise to never make such a cut.”

Collins concurred with Tapper that Scott was blowing smoke out of his butt:

“Yeah, and really the issue here that it’s a separate matter, Jake. It’s what was most confusing to me as we were talking about this … what is happening here in the Inflation Reduction Act is that they reduced drug prices. Basically the government can negotiate drug prices. so basically their spending money. And reducing money is not the same as reducing drug prices. It makes the provision more beneficial to those recipients. That was not the point of the interview, was which was to talk about the plan he proposed, which, he told me this morning, does not believe a mistake. To roll out this plan that would sunset all this including Medicare, including Social Security every five years unless it was authorized by Congress. That is at the heart of the matter.”

Republicans have been dying to cut Social Security and Medicare for years. If you doubt that, consider what Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said in 2010:

“It will be my objective to phase out Social Security — to pull it up by the roots and get rid of it.”

Jake Tapper Puts GOPer On Full Blast For His Hypocrisy Regarding Trump And Biden Documents

CNN’s Jake Tapper put the new Republican Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer (KY) on full blast for his blatant hypocrisy regarding the way his committee will handle the 20 classified documents found in President Joe Biden’s home when Comer previously defended former president Donald Trump for having hundreds of top secret documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Comer began ranting about the documents found at Biden’s former office and home. That led to Tapper remarking:

“Let’s go there. You’re talking about the Trump documents. Former President Trump is under an investigation for his own classified documents. There are about 20 in the case of Biden. For Trump, there are more than 300 classified documents at Mar-a-Lago — a big difference here just on the facts.

“Trump did not fully comply with his subpoena, his lawyers falsely told investigators they turned everything in. Take a listen to what you told CNN about this situation last November.”

In the video clip, Comer said of Trump, “I don’t know much about that. That’s not something that we’ve requested information just to see what was going on because I don’t know what documents were at Mar-a-Lago. So that’s something we’re just waiting to see what comes out of there.”

Tapper asked Comer:

“What are you saying to viewers who don’t understand why President Biden’s documents seem like a big priority for you, but President Trump, who took hundreds more documents did not comply with the subpoena, did not reach out to the National Archives or the Justice Department to say, ‘hey, we found these document,’ it’s not only a priority. Do you only care about documents being mishandled when Democrats do the mishandling?”

The congressman responded:

“Absolutely not. Look, we still don’t know what type of documents President Trump had. That’s one of the questions we’ve asked the National Archives. Just because Joe Biden’s lawyers say they turned over five documents, doesn’t mean they turned over five documents. They could have turned over 500 documents. I’m sorry but I don’t have a lot of confidence in President Biden’s personal lawyers.”
